  1. I remember when that video of Billie wearing the unicorn mask came out at the end of RevRad, and anytime I wanted to find it, all I had to do was search "unicorn", boom, no problem. Because how often did anyone mention that word on a Green Day forum? Now? 331 results for unicorn and 56 for unicorns.

  2. I’d like to think that the people who aren’t rushing to social media to bitch are more positive about this decision. Remember, commenters are only a fraction of the audience. As GDC is only a fraction of Green Day’s fans.

  3. Well the dog is bigger and probably weighs more 😂😂

  4. Ok this isn’t a photo it’s a video. But I just found it retweeted, haven’t had time this morning to figure out where it came from. It’s adorable, love how he does kissy motions to the dog.

  10. These were the band's pro photos with Jason by Felisha Tolentino (the photographer they hired for the era). Jason also appeared with them on Little Steven's Underground Garage He's in these photos from the Webster Hall Halloween show These are the highest quality photos we have of the show itself Some from the Soundwave tour Just Google "Green Day Soundwave" for more

  11. Maybe that’s what they’re waiting for. Could it be part of the deal that they will only premiere the song live at the all star game?

  14. rock music and hockey have gone hand in hand for a long time lol It's decreased in recent years as these soft players now listen to pop music and country lol This is probably GD's best match with any sport tbh.

  15. Isn't it crazy that we're in a world where Green Day have 46 singles out!!!! That's if "Fire Ready Aim" counts, it's the 46th.

  16. He and Joey both. They have so many emotions about dogs honestly.

  17. He's more excited about the dog than the dog is about him

  18. Some more blonde Billie: There used to be a picture request thread. I'll try to find it but I think it's pretty inactive these days

  19. Well seeing as they are "the baddest rock band on the planet" they were probably looking for a sport with a lot of 'tough guy clout'

  24. This reminds me of either last winter or two winters ago, when Billie's family was in Minnesota, and the big dog almost took Billie out. (of course I can't find the video of it now; anyone have it?)

  25. I agree. While it's painful to wait for more songs, I think the next single should come out right before the album drops. Then another a month down the road. Then the throw-away, not very well promoted 5th single a month or two after that. But this time they actually care about that last single and it's a hit too.

  27. Yeah I see your point but the album is still well over a month away, I wouldn't say no to another track; especially considering how mediocre the first 2 have been. I want it to be a really good track though. If they're gonna release another FRA though, no thank you

  30. I doubt the audience of the gaming awards was much of an improvement i hear the live chat there was pretty salty

  31. Yeah I kind of wonder whether this whole NHL thing is an actual win for them. Seems like the wrong audience.

  32. Don't tell green day what to do! Jk Xmas on the album was a joke
    1 point
  33. Today I heard Xmas Time of the Year on the radio, never expected that 😄 But back to the topic: according to genius, HockeyDog is a producer of hockey pucks, „kick the dog when the whistle blows“ is also a reference to ice hockey

  34. What you wrote is actually very close to the meaning of the lyrics according to what the band has told us so far, not a big stretch at all. As someone noted before, kicking the dog is an actual common idiom, and it does link to social media in the context of this song. The song is about social medias and the sick attack without thought colture characterizing them. FRA has not been written for hockey, even if it perfectly fits they way it is used there.

  36. when talking about Dirty Rotten Bastards, everyone just talks about Mike's epic bass part or how the tune is Christmassy... but nobody talks about what a hopeless, depressing, and heartbreaking song this is. It's beautiful in a painful way, and just excruciating, heavily relatable to anyone who has ever felt so far gone that there was no hope left. It's even more so than Restless Heart Syndrome... especially the "carried away" part

  37. you know what we can universally agree that they didn't put any effort into? the forever now music video.

  38. You forget that some of us also bought an album that had the song “Dominated Love Slave” in it.

  39. I don’t really think it’s fair to make a decision like buying an album solely on the title of a song. I was pretty young and Wasn’t following the band at the time, but I’ll tell ya that if I saw the title Jesus of Suburbia, I would’ve been hesitant to listen to it. On the flip side, I remember I saw the title Little Boy Named Train and I imagined this really epic song, but it turned out to be one of my least favorite songs. just because you don’t like their music now doesn’t mean they don’t care about quality. They are just trying out a new sound and it’s exciting to see that.
