I remember when that video of Billie wearing the unicorn mask came out at the end of RevRad, and anytime I wanted to find it, all I had to do was search "unicorn", boom, no problem. Because how often did anyone mention that word on a Green Day forum? Now? 331 results for unicorn and 56 for unicorns.7 points

I’d like to think that the people who aren’t rushing to social media to bitch are more positive about this decision. Remember, commenters are only a fraction of the audience. As GDC is only a fraction of Green Day’s fans.7 points

Ok this isn’t a photo it’s a video. But I just found it retweeted, haven’t had time this morning to figure out where it came from. It’s adorable, love how he does kissy motions to the dog.5 points

These were the band's pro photos with Jason by Felisha Tolentino (the photographer they hired for the era). Jason also appeared with them on Little Steven's Underground Garage He's in these photos from the Webster Hall Halloween show These are the highest quality photos we have of the show itself Some from the Soundwave tour Just Google "Green Day Soundwave" for more3 points

Maybe that’s what they’re waiting for. Could it be part of the deal that they will only premiere the song live at the all star game?3 points

rock music and hockey have gone hand in hand for a long time lol It's decreased in recent years as these soft players now listen to pop music and country lol This is probably GD's best match with any sport tbh.2 points

Isn't it crazy that we're in a world where Green Day have 46 singles out!!!! That's if "Fire Ready Aim" counts, it's the 46th.2 points

Some more blonde Billie: There used to be a picture request thread. I'll try to find it but I think it's pretty inactive these days2 points

Well seeing as they are "the baddest rock band on the planet" they were probably looking for a sport with a lot of 'tough guy clout'2 points

Definitely, I still remember with joy the soundtracks of NHL games for PS2 😄 And one team have been using Holiday as goal horn for years1 point

Yeah I see your point but the album is still well over a month away, I wouldn't say no to another track; especially considering how mediocre the first 2 have been. I want it to be a really good track though. If they're gonna release another FRA though, no thank you1 point

I kind of hope we don't get another since its only 26 mins long and 10 tracks1 point

While every other game is on NBCSN, the All-Star game will be on NBC in the U.S.1 point

January 26, 2020 afternoon - but no time has been announced, yet USA TV network: NBCSports CAN TV network: (pretty sure it’s on sportsnet) more info: https://www.nhl.com/fans/all-star/20201 point

So wait is the all star game televised? I totally forgot about this.1 point

Viewer ship (Tv) of the all star game is .... meh. the crowd at the game is usually large/sold out. TV only shows 1 maybe 2 songs of the entertainment.1 point
-
Yeah I kind of wonder whether this whole NHL thing is an actual win for them. Seems like the wrong audience.1 point

2 months till this album comes out and 5 months till I finally get to see after 7 year break my favorite band live! Oh boy how good have they sounded this year.. I hope the album is not overfiltered mess but even if it would be, I'm sure live perfomances would make songs sound better (just listen Father of All!). If they're ever gonna play Fire, Ready, Aim, it's surely happening next month, right? They're playing on hockey arena, so why not debut that song there?1 point

Today I heard Xmas Time of the Year on the radio, never expected that 😄 But back to the topic: according to genius, HockeyDog is a producer of hockey pucks, „kick the dog when the whistle blows“ is also a reference to ice hockey1 point

I felt that on a high level. I don't care for weezer or FOB. I really do want to see GD because I missed them the last time they came to my city, but idk if I'm ready to fork out the cash (last time I checked ticketmaster, standing room tix were like $600+) and sit through the other 2 just to get to GD...1 point

“Chop me a line of my best friend’s ashes” is without a doubt the darkest line he’s ever written imo 🥺1 point

when talking about Dirty Rotten Bastards, everyone just talks about Mike's epic bass part or how the tune is Christmassy... but nobody talks about what a hopeless, depressing, and heartbreaking song this is. It's beautiful in a painful way, and just excruciating, heavily relatable to anyone who has ever felt so far gone that there was no hope left. It's even more so than Restless Heart Syndrome... especially the "carried away" part1 point
-
So you’re actually going to sit here and tell me that songs like Bang Bang, Revolution Radio, Still Breathing, and Forever Now have no effort put into them, despite the fact that there is a ton of emotional and political baggage on display?1 point
