What you wrote is actually very close to the meaning of the lyrics according to what the band has told us so far, not a big stretch at all. As someone noted before, kicking the dog is an actual common idiom, and it does link to social media in the context of this song. The song is about social medias and the sick attack without thought colture characterizing them. FRA has not been written for hockey, even if it perfectly fits they way it is used there.4 points

I went on Getty Images to see if I could find any Billie pics from the Game Awards and found these: Also found this one from the AMAs red carpet that I don't think has been posted yet: And a few others:3 points

2 months till this album comes out and 5 months till I finally get to see after 7 year break my favorite band live! Oh boy how good have they sounded this year.. I hope the album is not overfiltered mess but even if it would be, I'm sure live perfomances would make songs sound better (just listen Father of All!). If they're ever gonna play Fire, Ready, Aim, it's surely happening next month, right? They're playing on hockey arena, so why not debut that song there?2 points

Not to my knowledge, but some high school band has apparently already covered it. The fans beat them to it!2 points

15 unforgettable mosh pits that made history in music https://www.altpress.com/features/best-mosh-pits-iconic/?fbclid=IwAR2YyqWXyk_3JoGaQiG16r-9_XVI6ea3Lctumlee8g3-VPj089Rqorn34I4 2. Green Dayâs mud fight at Woodstock â94 At this famously messy show, audience members threw clumps of mud onstage, and they can be seen whizzing by Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong as he sings.2 points

What if you listen to it with the mindset of just having fun? This isnât meant to be insulting, Iâm legitimately suggesting that. While Itâs true that songs like American Idiot, JoS, etc. are more complex, people tend to forget that the band also wants everyone to have fun while listening as well. Itâs not always about thinking critically. If that was the case, people would criticize songs like Scattered for talking about a break-up.2 points

While on first glance FRA seems to be a car-commercial-esque hockey anthem, it is really so much more: Kick the dog when the whistle blows/ you're a liar What's going on in the USA right now? Oh yeah, the whole phone call with the ukrainian president thing, started by the "whistleblower" Don't forget the key lines: Ready Aim Fire/ Fire Ready Aim The world has so many conflicts and wars, and there's all these shootings, etc. it just turns into a whole killing operation. Total war. Firing carelessly, not even thinking about aiming. Intimidation. Attack without thought. Hang on! Attack without thought? That's exactly what the description of FRA says on youtube. "This song is about our daily outrage, attack without thought" or whatever it was... Social media. People attack without thought. They don't think about what they are saying, they just say it and use it to express their daily outrage. And it's so toxic. Whether it's Trump on twitter or just idiots, not just political instigators but people that exist to spread hate on anything. Certain trolls. Racist people. Violent people. Intolerant people. Regular idiots that spam or spread lies just for likes. I just made this song much deeper than it was probably intended to be... 𤣠DISCLAIMER: That analysis was all me off the top of my head. In no way is that the official interpretation of the lyrics. No, I'm not from genius verified. Feel free to disagree.2 points

Yeah this. None of us can help or save him, but that doesnât mean we canât be worried. Itâs not a conscious decision, it just happens because we care for him. I donât want to dig too deep into this unwelcomed topic, but just one quick comment about people saying âheâs just having funâ. The thing is, RevRad era was a wonderful example that they can have fun without being excessively drunk. Not saying he never touched a beer back then, Iâm sure he did, but things seemed so balanced and totally in control. The videos right now donât really look like he had one or two beer though. It looks more like 2012 level drinking, which is, at least for me, alarming. And I still kind of rub my eyes in disbelief on how fast they went from âIâm still breathing and happy to be still aliveâ to âletâs just party and drink like itâs 2012 and nothing ever happened.â And itâs not just that one show Iâm talking about, but the general vibe of the whole era so far. I sincerely hope Iâm wrong and he has it all under control, for his sake and for mine because Iâm not ready to go through that shit again. So not ready.2 points

I will argue a little here and say his actions have more influence than that even with regards to people who donât know him personally because music has a deep impact on peopleâs lives. He may not owe us but the emotional connection is still real and goes way beyond the disappointment of a cancelled show. How many fans have shared stories about how Green Day has inspired them, made their lives better and even quite literally saved their lives? People are concerned because they are afraid. His loss would be devastating and not just on his own friends and family. Itâs not just a harmless beer weâre talking about, itâs alcoholism. People die from alcoholism.2 points

I like all the promotion this time around, but personally I'm more excited about this album than any of the other stuff. Not a hockey fan. Have no idea was Saber is, and am undecided about trying to attend Hella Mega. Albums and singles, man. That's the real good stuff. Mostly albums.1 point

Once I went to mcdonald's and I tried to order a shake. They said, "sorry, we're out of shakes." I said, how bout ice cream. they said "Sorry, we're out of ice cream." I asked if they had cookies, they said they didn't have any. Mcdonald's is the enemy. I can't wait until Feb 7 for FOAM. I would like another single. Did anyone get beatsaber and does it have any other FOAM tracks on it?1 point

This I think he literally only did that this one time and even then he never describes himself as sober or teetotal etc, could just mean 4 years since he got himself sorted (which doesn't necessarily mean becoming teetotal). Like, I understand caring about him but he has been seen with alcoholic drinks many times since not long after his rehab and hasn't gone around describing himself as sober so even setting aside the fact it's up to him and we have no control over it anyway I don't think seeing him having a drink is particular cause for alarm on its own. If it came to light that he was having a problem that would be the time to express concern. It shouldn't be that every time there's a show/event where he drinks or gets wild it has to turn into a discussion about his health. There's just no point in it, just like there was no point all the other times over the last 6 years that he had a drink in his hand or did something wild at a show and people worried and speculated and nothing happened. That said, just catching up with this and wow what a night! Super lucky people that were there, dream show. Looks like tons of fun.1 point

Just for those who say he was drinking all along, he used to mark off his sobriety on his IG. Personally, I wish that he wouldn't drink, but know there's not much I can do as a fan but hope for the best. But we do have an emotional connection to him, so it's natural for us to care about what happens to him.1 point

Iâm sure when he told RS in 2013 âthat was my last drink. Itâs documentedâ and if he ever felt like drinking again he only had to watch that video, and the stuff about letting the fans down etc. he meant it. At the time he meant it. But addictionâs a bitch and after a while you get complacent and forget and start to rationalize that you can handle it when the desire returns, which it does. Itâs a lifetime struggle for anyone but it doesnât mean his intentions werenât pure and different fresh out of rehab.1 point
