I love the shell game that are the Green Day side projects. This show really illustrated how Billie can just stand there in front while all the game pieces that are Mike, Tre, Bill, Chris, Kevin, David, Greg, Jason, Jason F, just shuffle around in a different combinations behind him and suddenly boom you’ve got Green Day or you’ve got the Coverups or the Hot Tubs or the Longshot... It’s just very funny, like a party trick. I almost want Billie to give a flourish and go Ta-Dah! each time 😂. What other band does this?10 points

If it helps, despite my reputation here as the GDC worry wart, I can hopefully ease your mind and tell you that to me he did not look that “hammered” either during or after the show in the clips I’ve seen. He was drinking beer steadily but seemed very much in control and no more tipsy than everyone else on the stage. Judge for yourself, but to me the Oakland Coverups show of October of last year was way worse than this. This was not iHeart level drunk by any means.9 points

I've never been more offended by a post Billie occasionally messing up is endearing and it's never bad enough to actually impair the show overall. However, I can't forgive him this: That's simply a crime.6 points

I haven’t watched any of the videos yet but reading this, I don’t even want to. Maybe I’m the only one, but if the price for sounding as great as they do right now is that Billie is going down that road again, I’m not ready to pay it. Sober RevRad Billie was perfect enough for me. The bad feeling I had from the very start of this era keeps intensifying, and this doesn’t help. Yeah I know the whole topic is the Voldemort of GDC that mustn’t be named so I’ll leave it at that.6 points

You're not the only one. There's no way they sound so good because of That TM, it didn't seem to me that it helped in the past. I'm conflicted. I can't fully enjoy this even though the show is fun and exciting (still need to properly watch the videos), because I've seen this before and it's also been fun back then, until it wasn't and I really don't want that to happen again and that's hard to forget about. At the same time, I believe it's unfair to look at things anyone does and be like "oh I like this if only you were acting in a way I'd like better"...I mean, they sound absolutely amazing, the shows are fun and so far, it doesn't seem like he's badly out of control, so I believe now is the time to enjoy the ride and worry later if there'll be a reason to.5 points

All I see is a kickass band having fun and celebrating with a huuuuuge awesome set list. They’re playing the Tiki bar not the Grammy awards, let them be P.s. I don’t think an iphone video can really give justice to this kind of show, you have to be there and I really hope one day I’ll be able to see them in this kind of setting 😭4 points

It makes me so sad that special shows like this will NEVER come anywhere near me. I don't mind driving 400+ miles, or 8+ hours. But my favorite band are on the other side of the country. Absolutely can't make it to Cali. Us southern fans need to convince the guys to get houses on this side of the USA, it's very nice out here and cheaper! Their millions would go a lot further in Greenville, South Carolina compared to California. They think they live like rock stars NOW, nope! With the cost of living cut in half they could live like BILLIONAIRES! There's a house for sale on my street, it would give them real street cred to move into a regular neighborhood, and the only super fan on the block is anti-social, so I won't be bothering you. I'd wave as I'm leaving for work but that's it.3 points

Lol, I read that is defecation! Different but the same.3 points

They essentially did. David was on drums, Kevin on guitar and Greg Schneider on bass who maybe has replaced Jeff. So call this Longshot 2.03 points

Jason teased a bit of Broadway after Father of All and then tried to start Platypus after RevRad, but that got shot down pretty quick3 points

We definitely need another butt pic. He has his moments during Rev Rad but he’s on a different level of sexy with this era. ❤️❤️❤️ That second pic. And the last two.3 points

This takes me right back to the hoax we once had when Billie Joe was DEFINITELY seen at 5am at a train station in Eastern Europe.2 points

Yup! Last time was all the way back in 2013 where they played some hits from Dookie and American Idiot in E Standard tuned guitar. If you ask from me, I personally love how they just switch the tunings for luls, even before Billie went to rehab they always played Welcome to Paradise in E Standard as show opener back in 2012.2 points

I LOVE his hair for this show last night. And the sexiness is definitely back. He was pretty reserved during RevRad.2 points

So after the Coverups set they did Stop, Drop and Roll, Mother Mary and then an entire Green Day set and Longshot!!!2 points

Seems to be over now 😂😉 Can we just appreciate his cute little smile? He looks as if he is adoring the slice of pizza.2 points

Honestly, I don’t think he seems that drunk. Tired and/or distracted at times maybe, but not wasted.1 point

This only will affect how it charts. Any album sold will still be counted by RIAA for certification purposes. There probably won't be any certifications though.1 point

Watching that 40min Green Day video from above. Here are my thoughts: Billie Joe is definitely hammered in this show. I bet he hasn't been this hammered on live show since iHeart perfomance back in 2012. Hopefully he is still ok. His vocals are so fucking good for almost 50yo man. I love it how those screams just get better year after year. How is it even possible? I also yelled like a motherfucker when I heard Welcome to Paradise back in E Standard tuning, god I fucking love them. Then the final nail in the coffin was Jesus of Suburbia which was actually really huge surprise for me. Setlist for that video: 1. Stop Drop and Roll 2. Father of All 3. Revolution Radio 4. Hitchin' A Ride (which actually wasn't dragged for 10 minutes, maybe they are learning how to cut unnecessary parts from songs?) 5. Welcome To Paradise 6. Burnout 7. Jesus of Suburbia1 point

I’m disappointed that this promotional period seems to be grinding to a halt. It started great with a tour announcement (albeit with shows almost a year away), a single and a music video but since that time, three months have gone and we’ve gotten that same song performed about a half dozen times and little else apart from an NHL song that is not a single, never performed, no music video and a four year old Christmas song. I thought we’d have more singles by now, more interviews, more appearances. They’ve been averaging no more than one or two major things a month. At least with the long wait for the album I thought this time would be packed with new stuff and surprises. I’m even stuck waiting two more months for a damn coffee mug. If this is all there’s gonna be then just give me the album already.1 point

I'm late to the conversation, but someone needs to take Billies Chin(s) as their username. Perhaps next year @UNICORN VOMIT? 😂 I love that white jacket that Billie has been wearing recently, but I can't decide what's whiter- the jacket or his fluorescent chompers.1 point
