I love this photo from the Madrid show (it actually makes Billie look as if he has long legs!) Few more oldies:8 points

I'm going to get absolutely roasted for saying this (at least I think I am) but I think "Bohemian Rhapsody" has run it's course and I wish they'd drop it. I'll leave quietly now...4 points

When you come back from MTV World Stage in Seville with another unicorn! Well I had to buy this one because they looked like the one on the FOAMF album cover As you can see they even had a photoshoot in Lisbon on our way home!4 points

Maybe they should come on stage the theme from Beverly Hills Cop! This one:3 points

I just want to say that when I first saw pictures of this performance, I thought it was from the AI era. No joke. It's absolutely ridiculous how good he looks - in 2016 and still right now. I agree with everything that's been said about the laughing and pure joy that they radiate when on stage. It's super infectious and part of what makes them one of the best if not THE best live band in the world. I fucking love them and no other band can ever compare. 💚 I'm so lucky to have such amazing people like them in my life.3 points

Article here from Rock Sound - apparently BOBD has now become the third single from AI to be certified gold in the UK: https://www.rocksound.tv/news/read/green-day-just-scored-their-third-gold-certified-single-off-american-idiot And another article here - the guy who played St Jimmy in the JoS video is in American Horror Story 1984! https://www.altpress.com/news/green-day-lou-taylor-pucci-american-horror-story-1984/3 points

(This is not meant to call anybody out, or take jabs at anybody. This is just my personal opinion.) I find the initial reaction to both Father of All... and Fire, Ready, Aim kinda ironic. Back when Nimrod and Warning came out, it was blasphemous that Green Day would want to make more complex music, both lyrically and sonically. Now? Complete 180. The band that made American Idiot wants to make fun, simple songs, whaaa??3 points

It reminded me of what Billie said in BIAB, how you could be having the worst day with everything going wrong in your life and then you get onstage and have an awesome show and for that brief moment it’s all good. Knowing what they were dealing with back home with SWMRS, it was good to see them enjoying themselves like that in the moment. 💚3 points

One of the most endearing things about the Rev Rad era was the boys laughing and smiling during the gigs, and I'm glad to see them doing so this time. And they look good and sound good too.3 points

More Ramones, or even some of their own deep cuts they don’t plan on playing during the show. There is tons of stuff they could play.2 points

Hey c'mon guys Bohemian Rhapsody is so good to sing along!! And it means that in less then 10 minutes we'll have Green Day in front of us! The excitement is so big I want them to keep this song.2 points
-
Yeah I loved it in the beginning but as you say it is a bit tiring to have BR and then Ramones (and an extra GD song on the setlist would be great!)2 points
-
Yeah, the opening song used to change with each era and I'd be interested to see a different choice to represent this tour. It was perfect for the 99 Revolutions Tour after rehab but isn't relevant in that sense now. Plus, when it's used over and over the excitement wears off. I still get butterflies when I hear past opening songs, but when I hear Bohemian Rhapsody it's more like "oh, that again." Although I love Blitzkrieg Bop I'd like to see that replaced just for a change. I'd rather keep that than Bohemian Rhapsody though, just because it's shorter and more fun. I always feel bad for the press who only get three songs when Bohemian Rhapsody counts as one.2 points

It might have something to do with decreasing quality2 points

Don't worry, once GD releases the album after FOAM then people will look back on FOA and FRA and remember how great they were. It's a weird pattern that happens with all their releases. The previous one suddenly doesn't seem that bad2 points

Jesus! Those eyes! And my god their stylist is on point for this era so far.2 points

BR can totally go for me, yes it’s fun to sing along to but so are many songs and it’s toooooo long. Drunk bunny tells you not long til GD.1 point

I like it, it's a cool moment where all the fans get together and sing, but if they dropped it I wouldn't be sad. Plus, it is a bit tiring to have Bohemian Rhapsody and then the Ramones. I'd be fine if they kept one because maybe it would mean one extra song on their setlist.1 point

It must be hard coming down off of the high they get from touring and playing shows. I think it's BIAB where he laughs about how miserable he can be when he comes home from touring that Adrienne tells him to go stay at a hotel for a while 😂...or something like that. Agree it was nice to see them enjoying themselves in that moment. I had a lot of sympathy for Adrienne...as a mother who has a kid away at college, I could totally relate to how she must be feeling.1 point

Easy now. I’m not saying Father of All... is their best work, but it’s certainly not an unlistenable monstrosity that can’t be salvaged. Even you have to admit that people were initially quick to toss it under the bus when they realized it wasn’t as complex as the rumored “Magnum Opus of the Inglorious Kind”.1 point

It's so true. They have every reason to be jaded after all of this time but they still enjoy it and it shows.1 point

I so agree with you. Those first few minutes of Basket Case are gold, it’s really remarkable that they can still have this joy and feeling of delight when the fans sing back to them after all this time, or they get such a great reaction, you would not be surprised if they had become pretty jaded by this stage in their careers. It’s very charming and endearing. 😍😍😍1 point

You can tell at the end of that performance he didn't want to stop. He had to stifle all of that energy at the end and you could see the frustration on his face and in his body language! 😂 Let's include his little laugh this weekend at the beginning of Basket Case. The way he laughs and then immediately looks down as if he is embarrassed. The fact that he is humble enough to react this way is too cute and makes me love him even more.1 point
-
I would buy a recording of his laugh, it's just the most wonderful sound it's crazy, makes me so happy every time I hear him laugh. ❤️ ❤️ 💥1 point

Thanks! Somehow I had missed this one. How about that laugh at :36 though?! This is my favorite performance of Bang Bang...the whole vibe...the crowd...the band's energy coupled with Billie's look, attitude and sass!1 point

So after watching the new MTV videos, I watched some of the old ones and had somehow forgotten how amazing Billie Joe looked in 2016!1 point

Common sense please - not all asking around is invasive. Asking someone who worked on their unreleased video to ask what it was like isn't invasive, especially when the person publicly posted about being involved with the vid. It's a question about his work, that's not personal or weird to ask about. If the investigation was about I don't know...let's say someone's sex life, that would be invasive and weird to ask about, and there would be a good reason to call it out, but this time that's not the case.1 point

Do you know that Scotland’s national animal is the unicorn? I am serious, it’s all over our heraldic symbols, it’s on our town flag here etc. Totally claiming a connection here 😂1 point

When you still won't forgive an old high school friend for saying American Idiot had "too many guitars" 🙄1 point

When one of your friends starts listening to GD and they refer to RevRad as “the burning radio album” and you can’t correct them because it would come off as rude, but it’s slowly killing you.1 point

There is a Tight Wad Hill in Berkeley, overlooking the University field. The Armstrong boys have posted photos from up there watching games 🤗 Fair enough not the one he wrote about originally that I am aware of. But, one he knows about now! We went to all 3 Tight Wad hills just to make sure 😂1 point
