One of the most endearing things about the Rev Rad era was the boys laughing and smiling during the gigs, and I'm glad to see them doing so this time. And they look good and sound good too.6 points

A few more pics I found the most fangirl worthy ๐ And these are two pics from the Madrid show, not sure if they have been posted yet but I found him really sexy on them ๐5 points

I would buy a recording of his laugh, it's just the most wonderful sound it's crazy, makes me so happy every time I hear him laugh. โค๏ธ โค๏ธ ๐ฅ4 points

Thanks! Somehow I had missed this one. How about that laugh at :36 though?! This is my favorite performance of Bang Bang...the whole vibe...the crowd...the band's energy coupled with Billie's look, attitude and sass!4 points

I so agree with you. Those first few minutes of Basket Case are gold, itโs really remarkable that they can still have this joy and feeling of delight when the fans sing back to them after all this time, or they get such a great reaction, you would not be surprised if they had become pretty jaded by this stage in their careers. Itโs very charming and endearing. ๐๐๐3 points

That first pic of Billie Joe ๐ ๐ I love these guys on the red carpet, in among all the plastics parading around trying to look perfect and then up pop Green Day ๐3 points

The two songs released so far just don't seem substantive, both in length and lyrical content. I think I connect my excitement to how meaningful the songs are.3 points

It reminded me of what Billie said in BIAB, how you could be having the worst day with everything going wrong in your life and then you get onstage and have an awesome show and for that brief moment itโs all good. Knowing what they were dealing with back home with SWMRS, it was good to see them enjoying themselves like that in the moment. ๐2 points

It's so true. They have every reason to be jaded after all of this time but they still enjoy it and it shows.2 points

You can tell at the end of that performance he didn't want to stop. He had to stifle all of that energy at the end and you could see the frustration on his face and in his body language! ๐ Let's include his little laugh this weekend at the beginning of Basket Case. The way he laughs and then immediately looks down as if he is embarrassed. The fact that he is humble enough to react this way is too cute and makes me love him even more.2 points
-
Mine too! The energy combined with the videoscreens itโs a total thrill to watch every time. Can we talk about that laugh? My most recent favorite is when Kevin and Bean made the joke about bands rehearsing in Billieโs house โCan you turn it down? Iโm watching the Masked Singer!โ And Billie chuckles, โThe Masked Singer ๐โ like he got a kick out of that. So cute.2 points

You're not aware of anything. You're giving yourself and Alison way too much importance. I'm not trying to get back at anyone. I say what I think on what I read. Here, with you, I was being polite. From the start, it's rather her that has been passive aggressive towards me (I don't reply in place of people whom I ignore the rest of the time, to mention only that), and she still is, and you're taking part in it, in a way that I find risible. I have the impression to be back in kindergarten. But that's fine, I don't expect anything more of that person and whomever she makes to take part in anything, given the way she's already behaved regarding me. Call me out on what you want, you sound amusing. "To each their own" is something I believe in (on the contrary to you, apparently, you seem to have a problem with my opinions and expression of them), there was nothing transparent because there was nothing else to read. You should be a little more humble about lending thoughts gratuitously to someone. This is not a nonsense topic, not for me anyway. You're pretending that it is to have a pretext to "call me out". Or else you really don't know what I find nonsense or not, and you're again lending me thoughts that aren't mine. So classy. I never said the word invasive to begin with, if you read my previous post I said that for me it was clear this person wanted to be asked about it. Common sense is subjective. This whole question is subjective. I seem to be the only one okay with that. I don't mind that other people think different. But for these people, me thinking different and expressing it means I have a hidden agenda? Laughable. I don't like the people who have harmed me, that seems just normal. It however doesn't interfere with expressing myself on here, as I've always done. I don't read Alison's posts anymore. I don't ask anyone to speak in my place to reply to one particular person and exert pressure on that person. Who is the one passive aggressive? It seems that disagreeing with an opinion shared by some members is just taboo, and stating an opinion about some actions that could be taken (the persons involved don't matter to me, on the contrary to what @Billie Joe's Eyelids insinuates, besides there could be plenty of them) is too. Or else I missed something.2 points
-
Common sense please - not all asking around is invasive. Asking someone who worked on their unreleased video to ask what it was like isn't invasive, especially when the person publicly posted about being involved with the vid. It's a question about his work, that's not personal or weird to ask about. If the investigation was about I don't know...let's say someone's sex life, that would be invasive and weird to ask about, and there would be a good reason to call it out, but this time that's not the case.2 points
-
Youโre passive aggressive with what you pick to focus on, andI some of us are fully aware that youโre picking a nonsense topic to get back at someone. Weโre gonna call you on it. Your โto each his own, but....โ is pretty transparent. I could go on for 3 paragraphs about that, but Iโll stop here.2 points

Yes I saw that comment being reposted on here, but it didn't make me want to know more about it. The way that comment was even brought on here, as if we absolutely had to know, makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't really care about what the band themselves don't feel necessary to share, and even if I care, I mean, what's so important that we should be investigating on it? And that could include a lot of little things, like that video and a supposed previous version of it. Well, everybody do what they want, I just don't get the means put to contribution for that kind of stuff (fetching comments and asking people through social media) to find out something. I find it amusing to give that depth to precise words Billie could say about that kind of stuff in an interview. Then again, I'm able to spend hours to let my mind wander on 4 words of lyrics he could write in a song, or random stuff in interview that's apparently about nothing, which I would never go ask about on internet, so to each their own2 points

(This is not meant to call anybody out, or take jabs at anybody. This is just my personal opinion.) I find the initial reaction to both Father of All... and Fire, Ready, Aim kinda ironic. Back when Nimrod and Warning came out, it was blasphemous that Green Day would want to make more complex music, both lyrically and sonically. Now? Complete 180. The band that made American Idiot wants to make fun, simple songs, whaaa??1 point

Today I went to the Green Day youtube channel and found several things I've never seen. Some of the Trilogy Promo spots were pretty cool, as was the behind the scenes of Back in the USA. Revisited "Xmas Time of Year" as well. Maybe we'll get a down and dirty Christmas song this year too??????1 point

There is a Tight Wad Hill in Berkeley, overlooking the University field. The Armstrong boys have posted photos from up there watching games ๐ค Fair enough not the one he wrote about originally that I am aware of. But, one he knows about now! We went to all 3 Tight Wad hills just to make sure ๐1 point

I was so pumped for new music all summer with Matt's teasing, but now I don't feel very excited. I'm trying to figure out why. Maybe because the release cycle is so ridiculously long that it has burnt me out. Maybe because the music isn't what I thought it would be. I liked FOAM but Fire, Ready, Aim was very flat to me. I guess I expected something new and challenging from GD. Maybe my life is just busier. Whatever the reason, I wish the release wasn't so stretched out.1 point

@solongfromthestars great article and what a balanced approach you have been able to take. Hats off to both you and your mum. ๐๐๐ I am nearly ages with your mum but without her major health problems and gigs have become seriously hard work in the last few years. I have noticed of late that I am subjected to more and more ageists comments which, frankly, make me crazy. I feel like telling those people that sex was not invented in the last 20 years, nor was punk or rock music or many other things, e.g. exercise and gyms for women were largely fought for by our generation. However, thankfully there are always people whoโs behaviour is so awesome, they makes up for those others. I have no idea how your mum manages to do what she does, but I wish her many more great gig experiences and kudos to you too for recognising how awesome she is, supporting her and highlighting these issues. ๐ฆ๐ฆ1 point

When you go to your brothers baseball or soccer game and start to root for the kids with either the number 86 or 21. when you hope that your history teacher asks the class what the word blasphemy means because you googled it so that you could understand east jesus nowhere better. Whenever someone says a lyric from a song and you start humming it. when you find One girl on your team who likes the song 21 guns so you run around screaming it with her.1 point
