Don't know if you guys know Tegan and Sara, indie pop sisters. They wrote a memoir about their high school experiences and there are a lot of GD references. One of the chapters "BASKET CASE" is about them going to a green day show in 94 and being in the pit and having an insane time. Tegan also talks about singing "She" to one of her first crushes. Really worth the read if you like both groups and want to see how GD influenced them.

Been away for the weekend so catching up, the guys are looking and sounding so good. I can't wait to catch up on all the show footage, and for the MTV live stage performance to be broadcast, it looks epic from what I've seen so far. 😍

I like FOAM and the concept of an album called "Father of All Motherfuckers" that's essentially a weird, crazy, different-sounding take on rock music. I like the hip-hop influences. I was fully game for that. I think what gets me is that you present it that way and then release "Fire, Ready, Aim" which is paint-by-numbers, boring rock song. If you're going weird, stick to it! Don't make an album with that title and then fill it with eeasy-A rock tracks.

Or maybe they'll save the new song release until December as a holiday gift 😉

If the prediction for the release of a new song each month is true, that mean there is another song coming for us this month!

Yeah I see that as well! My first statement was more about how people are saying "this is the worst GD era ever". I mean for me that was probably the trilogy cause of Billie's health and the momentum being killed. I also did not enjoy the production on the albums either. I think there's a lot more still yet to see for this era. It's exciting. The album hasn't leaked yet! lol

The two songs released so far just don't seem substantive, both in length and lyrical content. I think I connect my excitement to how meaningful the songs are.

For me it feels different but not in a negative way. I'm taking it as it's own era. I don't even want to compare it to the others. It's been exciting so far. Album is months away and they already got an award and several TV appearances. The song already has hit #1 in a few countries too. I'm not really sure what everybody else is expecting.

When you still won't forgive an old high school friend for saying American Idiot had "too many guitars" 🙄

Sooo happy about Tre's look! I'm sorry to say it, but I really think he looked kinda unwell on the RevRad tour. Maybe it was the blue hair, maybe he was just more generally not so well, I don't know, but he's certainly looking a lot better now. He's even kinda regressed back in time to somewhere between Trilogy and RevRad (in terms of look) and I'm all for it!

"Panic Song" and "Westbound Sign", while not some of my favorites have never been played live either? Is because of some tempo or guitar set up or do you guys just not like these tunes anymore? Probably time restraint, but screw those darn minutes. Play 3 more minutes after the timer has gone off. Go to jail for your art, man. Revolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nimrod and Warning have both been completed live scattered through the years, but feel free to play both these as many times as possible. I'd stay for 3 performances of both back to back. POPROCK AND COKE got a video, why can't it get a concert appearance? electric version would be fun, but so would an addition to the acoustic encore. DO IT NOW. The intro to Breakdown is the best intro ever. Don't relegate it to a taped introduction live. PLAY THE DARN THING. Intro's are lame, but NOT THIS ONE. DO IT TOMORROW. I've not had many GD dreams recently but I had two last night: In the 1st one I dreamt that I turned up at the Huddersfield gig and the whole of the standing area had been covered by deck chairs and the people with standing tickets were told to sit on the deck chairs. As you can imagine those fans weren't happy and there nearly was a riot. In the 2nd dream I dreamt that Billie had 50 cakes thrown at him on his 50th birthday.
