My dad, after I mentioned last weekend that I spent $217/ticket to see Green Day next year: "I don't care if they brought the Beatles back from the dead — I wouldn't pay that much for a ticket to ANYTHING!"7 points

Are they in Hawaii? Could he not have taken that closer in so we got a better looks at his dad’s legs, honestly 😂😂😂5 points

Also from Billie's instagram story: Here's the full Joker face which I found on Green Day Mexico's Twitter (I don't know how to download from instagram stories myself!):4 points

I don't hate it, but if they're cutting down then it's the obvious no. 1 candidate. I'd rather see KFAD go then miss out on 3 songs they could play instead.3 points

I'm honestly very curious about whether or not they play a longer set at the shows they're playing on their own or at festivals where headliners are supposed to play their standard show.3 points

Also having the entire trilogy above 21CB is blasphemy3 points

Nope. One of my favorite parts of the show. I never want it to leave. I'd much rather they get rid of JOS and add in 2-3 songs there instead.2 points

Their sets will only get shorter, I think, just because they're getting older. Makes sense for Hella Mega sets to be shorter anyway, but I'm intrigued to know how long the solo shows will be this time around. I don't mind whether King for a Day stays or not. I'm sure it'll be one of the last songs to go, though2 points

For a contest I really don't mind signing up for newsletters because I always unsubscribe when the contest is over.2 points

I highly doubt that they’ll cut their set short. These guys breathe their live shows.2 points

I finally watched some Longshot and Coverups stuff and here are two things I want to say: Billie reached peak goofiness at this show Secondly, I'm not an expert on how singing is supposed to sound, but whoever was doing the falsettos/backing vocals in Longshot (I think it's Jeff who I hear) didn't sound good at all imo.2 points

Your dad is right Or they're doing this shitty tour to cover up the fact that they're cutting off an hour from their set either way... what was first the chicken or the egg?2 points
-
Or, y’know, it could just be that their time is cut shorter because of this stupid tour.2 points

Throughout the day, I'll suddenly think out of nowhere god dammit Billie is so fucking hot! This is happening more and more frequently with this new era. I can't get enough of him. More promos and performances, please!2 points

So when they're in their 80's the entire show will be just KFAD? I would come to this show1 point

Agreed. Like people have said, they may have a slightly shorter run time because of co-headlining, but otherwise, I think their sets will get longer over time. 😴1 point

Doors are 6 hours before official venue curfew times (in the areas they have curfews). So, the math is pretty easy from there. Interrupters-quickest case, half hour after doors and set for 45: that leaves 4:45 left Fallout boy- gear change 30 mins, set 1 hour, there’s 3:15 left weezer- gear change 30 mins, set 1 hour, there’s 1:45 left Green Day- gear change 30 mins, 1:15 left. But of course if there’s no curfew they could go longer. No way though are we seeing 21st Century Breakdown or even standard set times. I’m cool with it, I’ve been lucky enough to have my share of epic shows, but just to manage expectations I am fully expecting a shorter festival- type set. Edit- I flipped the fallout/ Weezer expected order by accident, it seems Weezer will play before fallout.1 point

Billie has a beautiful head and it’s full of wonderful stuff, he said during the Howard astern interview he has a huge head but he doesn’t, it’s great! He’s looking so good just now 😍😍😍1 point

I found this the other day and it's a Green Day antique! 21st Century Breakdown at #1 in the UK charts on the teletext.1 point

My former very conventional bosses were saying that it doesn't matter how much pants are short on you, as long as your wear a pair of socks that is long enough to go higher than the pants' edge. Since, I found out that the Green Day boys have always been respecting that rule, especially Billie. He always wear pair of socks that go high enough on his calves but I can't find one affordable pair of high socks that doesn't squeeze my calves lol1 point

I really want Mike to get rid of that gold suit that's way too short for him.1 point

I've said it every year I've been here, but I hope we get a GD Halloween performance this year.1 point

That vain that pops up in his neck is weird when he's bring his arm down. Also, someone on instagram posted a close up of Billie's lightening bolt necklace from a shot in one of the kerrang interviews. It's engraved with "always".1 point

Seymour Duncans are 100 to 300. Idk the exact model that's in blue, might be more expensive. Plus maybe 50 to 100 at the guitar shop to get them installed unless you know how to drill and solder yourself. Tbh you don't have to worry about pickups if you've never played before, though. Whatever comes in the bjguitars replicas will be just fine until you've stuck with it a while and have a more discerning ear. For amp - again if you've never played before you don't have to worry that much about it. You can get a cheap 30W for like 70-100 or something and it'll be fine. Once you've been at it for a while, upgrade to the best amp you can afford since that's where 99% of your sound comes from. And finally, advice I'd give to anyone - if you have someone in your life who already plays guitar at a high level then have them go with you to a pawn shop or Bookman's or something to have a look around. Never know if you might find higher-end gear in good condition (eg; pre-owned but never "used") at a low price there. But make sure you have someone who can recognize potential problems, don't trust the guy in the shop trying to sell you on it lol.1 point

I could have swore there was a picture floating around the Internet of his Fender Custom Shop file, and it was misspelled as “Billy Joe Armstrong”. I too would be interested to know if a Billie Joe Signature Fender was ever in the works.1 point
