I feel like it's inevitable that someone will point this out, so I'll just go ahead and do it now: c h e s t h a i r s. Edit: Oh, I see @Montclare beat me to it.4 points

Whenever I catch a glimpse of a Will Farrell movie, I wonder what kind of person would find this funny... ...the fact that it's Billie makes sense in a weird way.3 points

When you don't like unicorns, let alone the Green Day one, but Mr. Foamy Bubbles gets left with you and he's just too cute and starts dancing to Love is for Losers My brain has melted and it's Green Day's fault.3 points

Yeah I'm not buying a physical album so it's less of a problem. And exactly - it's fun to listen to new songs and it's not like they're spoiling a masterpiece. If someone listened to American Idiot Whatsername first, I'd say that was a mistake, but it really doesn't bother me that they're putting out songs out of an album that they describe as 10 songs they threw together because of yolo and unicorns. Like say Uno or Insomniac, I don't think song order and knowing multiple songs in advance would make the experience from listening to the whole album worse. Plus the new single is an ad song so that's how I'm approaching it.2 points

I like the way they’re dragging this out considering how short the album is. I wouldn’t mind a single a month through January.2 points

Oddly enough, I think I'm a bit more excited about receiving my Father of All Dark Roasts bundle than I am about getting the album right now2 points

I’m listening to Tune In Tokyo right now. It’s a seven song EP and it’s 33 minutes. I can’t believe it’s seven minutes longer than the new album will be 😕2 points

We also let my son watch it with us & he was way too young, when this scene came on he turned & said that is the rudest thing I have ever heard #Imabadparent2 points

I watched Stepbrothers with Will Ferrell a little while ago after it was mentioned on here. I laughed several times, but there nothing that memorable that made me want to watch it again. Just like Game of Thrones that Billie was fond of. I couldn't go on after a big half of it, bored Conclusion: Billie is weird in a weird way2 points

When: Look what Green Day made me do! Or should I say buy! I hate the unicorn but this little fella was just too cute to ignore the reference! Should I call him Foamy or Bubbles?2 points

That vain that pops up in his neck is weird when he's bring his arm down. Also, someone on instagram posted a close up of Billie's lightening bolt necklace from a shot in one of the kerrang interviews. It's engraved with "always".2 points

When a knitter you follow on IG designs a Unicorn dress up outfit for a teddy bear. Unicorns are everywhere.2 points

I'm willing to hear three singles, but if they release anything after that I'm just going to ignore it. I don't want to spoil most of the album before it even releases.1 point
-
Normally that would bother me as well, but I pre-ordered the digital ablum it to get the presale code, so it's not bothering me that much. Plus I just want to hear the new stuff, NOW!1 point

One single a month and we'll hear half of the album before it comes out, normally I'd bitch abouts spoiling, but is this is just a collection of short fast songs with no bigger ambition, it doesn't really matter.1 point

A friend of mine just visited the castle in Scotland. I don't know which moment I'd pick from the movie (maybe the killer rabbit and of course the black knight is classic) but my all time favorite sketch is the dirty fork.1 point

Green Day get a mention in this Rock Sound article on "8 bands that absolutely should have played the Super Bowl halftime show by now": It doesn't say much but for anyone who's interested: 04. GREEN DAY 2005 was the moment. Green Day were one of the biggest bands in the entire world. You couldn't leave your house without hearing 'American Idiot' on the radio. It's a Broadway musical. Bring out the cast and have a big, theatrical collaboration. We're just throwing ideas around. There's no reason that Green Day shouldn't have been offered the Super Bowl halftime show by now.1 point

I haven't change my profile pic for a while, really loved Billie with pink but this was too hot and was taken ten days after I saw Billie that close for the first time, with a friend from here, which made it so much better. Dear memories1 point

Mike tagged SNL in that post. I really hope this is a hint that they will be back on SNL this season 🙏🙏🙏 Maybe with the hockey deal being with NBC they will also do SNL as cross promotion for this new single (same network)1 point

I love that my mom was watching the iHeart highlights just for Green Day. She said Billie looked amazing and that she was digging the new song! See, that's the secret for getting your mom to be okay with countless GD posters in the house and even having her pick up merch for you....attractive frontman This same tactic worked when I wanted a copy of The Marshall Mathers LP when I was 12.1 point

Indeed...seriously though, it's admirable how down-to-earth he was. I don't know, the way he talked about being unsure about the future isn't something I'd expect from a guy who just went from living a punk lifestyle to being set up for life at only 22. Maybe it's because I haven't read/forgot about many interviews from back then, but it surprised me that Dookie era Billie who bragged about doing speed and literally swung his dick around was so humble The bit where he talked about aging musicians also made me wonder about what would '94 Billie have to say about his contemporary self haha1 point

When you play Green Day performances on your TV in the middle of the night, and find it relaxing to watch it muted while listening to a podcast/video log in the background. ... I never said I was normal.1 point

Cavallo, had versions of both heads already for the Dookie recordings. They were done by Bob Bradshaw at CAE originally then the later ones were modded by Martin Goulb at CAE. Both were used on Dookie. Although the SE is featured much more on Insomniac and that is where the classic live sound Billie still uses today started. Billie ordered a set of clones from Bradshaw while they were recording and they were the amps he used on the Dookie tour and the Woodstock performance. These are the two heads that were spray painted Meat and Pete and later painted pink and silver by the Network. These two heads were used on Insomniac and Nimrod along with an Orange OR100 a Bassman and a Jcm 800. Since the Nimrod recording these amps have only been used live. There are different amps used in the studio since. Warning is primarily a Black faced Bassman and a hiwatt. AI and 21CBD are primarily a Park70 that is modded with a Dookie style mod and an amp we call the Idiot which is also similar but different than an Se Lead (Meat) it has slightly less gain and less bottom end and is generally a “tighter” sounding amp. AI also features a lot of tweed Victoria amps primarily a 2x10 and a Twin. The Bassman and the HiWatt are also extensively used. Foxboro Hottubs is a Divided by 13 FTR 37 Billie, and a Low power tweed Twin Jason. Trilogy was a mix of all the cleaner amps and a JTM 45. No master volume amps were used. Rev Rad was back to the park 70 and the Divided by 13 primarily. Overall thoughts for trying to get Billies tone with the pedal or any amp is to use WAY less gain than you think. Play a guitar with a hot pickup and dig in!1 point

I think it sounds as good as it realistically can do. It lacks a bit of bass and overall 'umph' but to ear gets close. Wont be making it onto my board tho.1 point
