Robert Smith's eyeliner is iconic in its own way anyway but considering this was only a couple of years ago I don't think there's any question that Billie could still pull it off! I think maybe it's just that the look they've gone for with FOAM is already so glam (fabulous shiny stars and leopard print and leather trousers etc) that they might think too much eyeliner would be overdoing it. He still has a touch of it.

Billie wearing eyeliner and Robert Smith wearing are two different things. It's part of Robert's look, so that's why he still does it and it's fine (I'm also a huge Robert Smith fanatic so I may be bias). It's almost expected that he's going to wear eyeliner and have his bird nest hair when you see The Cure live. Billie is a hot boy who can still totally pull it off. So stop being stingy, BILLIE!

I think it would be pretty cool if their plan for the upcoming months is to release one or two non-album singles, maybe taken from those 7 discarded songs, together with an additional album single. That way we would have plenty of music to get to February, but not waste the full album experience. Just thinking out loud, no indication in this sense.

Turnstile, a hardcore band that kicks serious ass, has an album that's only 25 minutes and it's stellar, so the length of FOAM never really bothered me. As long as the songs are good, length doesn't matter!

We all know (as does he) that Billie looks crazy good with eyeliner. But hes probably wary of it becoming his schtick. It already kinda is. I think he probably likes the option of wearing it if he wants or not if he doesnt. People aren't going to completely freak out if he doesnt have it. I myself appreciate the subtle liner. It highlights his amazingly beautiful eyes without being too much. But, really, he can totally still get away with heavy liner and look like the fucken god he is.

I'm hoping it's going to be like RevRad, where it started off subtle (or not at all in some interviews) and then build as the tour goes on. No doubt the man can still pull it off.

I still have not watched the iheart performance due to my weekend busy schedual. But looking at those pics you fangirls posted... Wow! Billie looked gorgeous! His eyes! With just a bit of eyeliner, they are perfect! I can't wait to watch the performance now.

I’m sure they’d rather you buy the music to get a pre-sale code than pay to join a fan club, so that makes sense. And with the options of CD, vinyl, etc. it actually is a potentially cheaper way to go. My CD cost less than an IN membership would have been and they get a record sale out of it.

I won't miss Idiot Nation since it was kind of comical in how bad it was, but I'm sad we'll never get the RevRad tour photos. I only have one professional photo of me onstage and I know Greg took some so I was really hoping they'd finish uploading them one day. The giveaways were also a nice idea.

Anyone else excited about some the of the song titles? "Bulletproof Backpack" for some reason sounds intriguing to me. My friend told me that companies are actually selling backpacks that have sheets of bulletproof material in them. I wonder if the song is some sort of school shooting commentary.

His falsetto is fine. When he changes to the chorus it actually creates a great contrast which is something the band has been great at going back to the American Idiot days.

I love this era so much right now and while I agree with @The Bellie that not many people Billie’s age wear their hair like this I would say most most can’t as they don’t have the quantity or quality of hair and if they did they would just look ridiculous. To be fair, if Billie wore his hair like this with this dad look, he wouldn’t look as good as he does in these but my god, this man still looks like the world stomping rock star he is! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ So watching the Kimmel performance again, is there a gold and silver version of the leopard jacket, the Kimmel one looks much yellower? Also, the jacket with the little star was great and did anyone clock the black jacket with bigger black star he wore for the interview tin Rivers and Pete? Hoping for more of these, they are great.

It was huge. Literally all over top 40 radio at its time. Looking back, it's a little weird how big it was, but later never got played live much and it doesn't seem to be missed that much as you'd expect from their second biggest single.

Yeah I know what you mean and I really hope that Billie‘s hate for long songs is just a phase because the Who-esque anthems have kind of become their signature sound, and they’re SO good at it. But I guess that’s also a reason why they want to do it different this time, and I get it. Short songs can be great, just take Fever Blister which is shorter than 2 minutes, but it kicks so much ass. So... more songs like Fever Blister please 😬

Massive at the time, but it doesn't have the same kind of long-term fame that some songs on AI and Dookie have. It used to be their most viewed video on YouTube, until BOBD surpassed it and Basket Case will soon follow suit. When it was released though, I actually used to heard it on the radio all the time for several months. I probably came to dislike it already then, simply because of the many times I got to hear it instead of other Green Day songs.

The way I interpreted the interviews about it was this: that they delivered a 10-track album after deciding which 7 were not going to make the cut. I could be wrong, and that they handef over all 17 for the label to decide on what to do with the b-sides, but it really sounded like they withheld everything they could. So just for the sake of discussion, let's say Warner only has the 10 songs for FOAMF. Would it then come down to the language of the contract?

I like the idea, but wouldn't that mean they'd have to turn in those non-album tracks to Warner?

He's been doing pretty well so far, imo. And just because the single has a bit of falsetto doesn't mean every single song will be like that.

I can't resist to post a few more ones: big smiles as for the backstage photos, I really like this one, Billie looks like an animal cartoon hero (that's not an insult lol). You won't convince me otherwise I'm rather partisan of finding that Billie does look his age, it depends on the pics, on the makeup, the haircut mostly (not many people his age wear that kind of haircut), and the level of rest, like anyone, but it's true that some pictures are defying reason; like here he looks like a 14 year old nah? (why does he have to make those ingenuous faces lol )
