As I said, the difference in his body colour to his face was not my first thought, I won't put it here as I think I'd be banned, even if we were on the fangirl thread! But oh my goodness, if this is indicative of what's in the Bob Gruen book, I may have to order a second copy 💥

I was looking at my music files and it was three years ago today that I bought Bang Bang, which was the start of my return to Green Day. Three GD shows, 1 Longshot show, 1 Coverups show, 3 trips to CA, and 1 tattoo later, still going strong.

I kind of like that they keep it simple and rely on themselves rather than on this whole arena show circus, but screens would be neat for people in the back. It's not really something you'd notice when you're moshing in the pit, but goes a long way in the nosebleed seats. I guess they keep the catwalk relatively short so Billie doesn't die from running back and forth all the time. He'd have to change that routine if they got a huge stage, but I think it would work out amazingly. If this is to be the last big production they're doing it would be cool if they really went all out with it. At the same time, I love the relatively stripped down show they do. It's almost like a normal punk show only in a big venue if you don't count the gimmicks like hey hos and kfad and the little bit of pyro.

He got it at some point between July and September 2010. You can see it in the Brazil show pics.

Short sides is where it's at. Makes his face stand out. But in general I prefer longer hair and curls so this style is a good compromise. I could do without the slicking back bc granda hair but whatever.

I just love Back in the USA. It's a fun song (especially the video), but it always makes me sad too. It's one of the great examples of a Green Day song that makes you laugh, but while you're laughing you suddenly realize that you're on the verge of tears. Emotional rollercoaster😵
