My main problem with the Oh Love music video is that I get really frustrated whenever the camera isn't on Billie. Like, I don't want to watch a bunch of almost naked women! I want to look at Billie and the rest of the band! Any time they're on screen is time that's taken away from the real eye candy. I mean, fuck! Just look at this!

Well my guess is that everybody wanted to do their thing and make money. As I said Mike and Tre wanted those songs out and it's not like they hadn't had to deal with each other being high/drunk all these years. So they kept pushing. Let's do the tour, let's promote those albums, let's have angry birds green day. Then we'll deal with Billie starting to overdo it with his drinking or sleeping pills. And the way life works it didn't happen like this. It had to be done though. Billie had to go through all this to get clean. Also there has to be something shady with Rob. I remember after american idiot something happened and they fought. Then they didn't work with him for 21st. And then they had to refind their relationship to work together on the trilogy again. And then on the next release they still didn't work with him and now seems like they still aren't working with him ether. Maybe it's just that they wanna work with new people and I'm reaching it's surely true though that between ai and the trilogy something had happened with them and Rob.

Had a gig with my band yesterday and had to pee urgent after 30 minutes in result of a few beers. My first thought about what Billie would do if he was at the same situation. I still wonder if he stopps drinking 3 hours before a show to avoid peeing later. 😖😵

I had one of those “you know you’re a fangirl” moments during a game of scrabble earlier today. I spelled out the word “bello” and insisted upon its legitimacy. “Sure, it’s a word: Bello - a plump little belly belonging to Billo (Billie Joe).” I must confess, I watched that bellie zoom-in about a dozen times over. There’s something so enticing about that little bellie of his, as weird as that may sound. It looks so cuddly and squishy; seeing that pudge on him just fills me with the warm and fuzzies!

From the way they talked about it I got the impression it was meant to be more like they were playing characters in it, like they're playing more stereotypical rockstars hanging out with models and them all equally being wild and having fun partying together. In theory it doesn't need to be bad, the rockstar wants the hot model and the model wants the hot rockstar type of deal and it's done to reflect the theme of the song being about lust rather than love. But the way it was executed it came out awkward. Also as far as I can see they're not that hands on with their videos and just choose a director they like and trust them and follow their direction. So I blame Sam Bayer

Well billie did like the way the trilogy sounded back then he mentioned it a couple of times how he wanted to create power pop songs with the guitars sounding like that. About the songs being much better if they actually worked on them more I still haven't figured out how they couldn't see it. Mid life crisis is one explanation considering their age at the time, the way they dressed at the time, the rock star video clips and overdoing it with party and alcohol. Thank god that era is long gone. Still have my trilogy boxset though wish I had a special edition of another release

It was meant to be a documentary on Green Day's beginnings then it turned out to be more about the scene as a whole...it might be they're still doing the one about themselves.

I was looking for Hitchin a ride random noises and fell on this video. At the beginning there's a great zoom on his bellie . Then a lot of zooms on his face, hawt and funny expressions, sweat flying off his hair, and random noises at 1:51. Also at 2:44 he seems about to laugh while talking, too cute.

I've been listening to all my Green Day music on shuffle in the car recently while I'm driving and wow! Billie is fucking obsessed with bottle rockets!

Sure, Billie and Mike have been making music together since 86'. That's awesome. But the band did not become "Green Day" until 1989, and we are quickly coming on what I believe to be the day that the name was changed! May 28th, 2019 will mark 30 YEARS OF GREEN DAY!!!! WOW!
