Today I had a lecture on church reformation and puritans and the biggest revelation that lecture brought me that the line "she reads me like a scarlet letter" from Body Bag not only has a meaning, but it's a literary reference I didn't get for a year. I feel dumb now, because firstly, it's likely I'm just ignorant and this isn't news for anyone else and secondly, it's a reminder not to underestimate things just because I don't understand them, because my analysis of that line until today was "it rhymes, next!".
