This is also the show that gave us this gem. This is awesome.6 points

This probably belongs on the Green Day Dreams thread, but I think it would find more appreciation here : I had a dream the other night in which a world-renowned plastic surgeon advertised a "Bellie Augmentation" as one of his most popular cosmetic procedures. The surgeon cited Billie as his inspiration. He said that he "wanted a bellie-enhancing procedure to be available to those who desire a bellie as beautifully bulbous as Billie's". It was one of the greatest dreams I've ever had. I'm sure there was more to it but unfortunately this is all I can recall. Here's some bellie:5 points

Cue me clicking and zooming in. If you want some extra bellie bellie pics...3 points

I thought it was the Canal 2009 show. I'll have to go through it later. In the meantime, let's look at this pretty boy.3 points

Obviously not spending enough time listening to 21CBD as got the wrong song! That was a great show, Billie looked and sounded fab. I love @maryjanewhatsernameâs pics but how weird is the top one reversed, what is Mike doing over there đđ Got to say, I love @Scumbag On A Missionâs dream, you got it bad yet I think it would be a far healthier approach to plastic surgery đ2 points

No weird - even FOB mentioned it in their speech at RnR Hall of Fame induction.2 points

For sure - but going back to my original post - if rehab didn't happen the trilogy tour would have been a huge success because the songs they were playing live were fantastic. I remember Let Yourself Go at Soundwave was a crackerđ2 points

My unpopular opinion: I love the trilogy! I've been a defender of these albums for awhile. I like that the band didn't overthink the songs or leave some on the cutting room floor. The albums collectively serve as Billie Joe's stream of consciousness. And the results, are quite revealing. The lyrical content is honest focusing on themes that people experience as they are getting older. Especially if you are a rock star with many vices at your disposal! Billie Joe was going through an interesting period in his life. He was partying with the cast of the AI musical, touring with Green Day and the FBHT, and taking lots of pills coupled with excessive drinking. Sounds exhausting for anyone, especially a guy in his late 30s with a wife and two kids! All of these complex issues culminated in Billie Joe writing songs at rapid speed. The lyrics on tracks like Fell for You, Missing You, and Stay the Night are fantastic, albeit a bit dark. Even darker, are songs like Lazy Bones, Lady Cobra, and X-Kid. Lyrical content aside, the band sounds like they're having fun! Not locked into a concept album, they were able to play and jam free of constraints. And they were debuting these songs for tiny audiences at surprise shows. It probably felt like they were back at Gilman. The musicianship was very tight and Green Day was "firing on all cylinders" as Mike Dirnt has said. Great solos from all the members of the band including Jason White. I can understand why Billie Joe doesn't always want to revisit these songs on tour. But it's a shame that some people view these albums as filler. It's just another chapter in the story of Green Day. And I look forward to many more chapters!2 points

GDC is being super slow for me for some reason (other sites are fine) and I was just so impatient to see new pics of Billie. It was like waiting for porn to load or something. But yes, that gif is indeed from Canal's performance of ?Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl). I love all the footage from that show. Such a great one!1 point

Someone came to use the phone after I put it down. It was already my second take though so I can't complain. I guess it's a popular phone1 point

Yeah, I also think they are on track. I'm hoping Billie needed to focus on something important and didn't want to be distracted by Instagram. Lots of people were asking them in comments when the next one is coming out. I remain hopeful. đ1 point

Not gonna lie, I was hoping for a post when he came back. Last time he posted that photo of himself lighting a peroxide bong with "hola bitches". I kept going back to refresh his page to see if he'd post something.1 point

Cool idea in theory but in reality I remember the buzz over Uno but then Dos and Tre were overshadowed by the postponed tour dates and the confusion over what was going to happen with the tour for people who had tickets.1 point

These are my exact thoughts! I loved the unruly, unkempt nature of these albums. Except I enjoyed the staggering of the albums...that was actually quite exciting! It was great to reach the end of an album, relisten over and over and think "Ah, in just a few short weeks we get another new GD album!" This is probably what it felt like being a Beatles fan in the early days. They were receiving, two albums a year! And The Beach Boys were sometimes releasing three.1 point

True they donât have to formally announce anything for a while but at least with RevRad they were teasing with studio pics and #RevRad tags from January to April. We havenât gotten anything yet which is frustrating but that doesnât really matter as long as theyâre on track which I think they are.1 point

I think it's from the beginning of ?Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) but I don't know which show and can't find it. I think he was doing it during the piano intro1 point

I actually have made a gif of that one before. Lol! I just didn't post it. How about these too? đ Such a floofy booooyyyyy!!! And not floofiness, but I came across this last night for the first time in awhile when I was looking at pictures (as I do every night before I go to bed. Haha! ) and I just about died. Don't know why, but this one just particularly bowls me over right now. It's pure sex. Look at that face!1 point

Since we're discussing Billie's lovely luscious locks, I'm going to contribute a few photos of "maximum floof" Billie: He's such a pretty little puffball.1 point

As far as I remember it's just Mike who's uncomfortable with the trilogy. I think it was in Kerrang (don't remember which issue) he said something like "it will take a while to reconcile with THAT ex-girlfriend." But Tre said he felt people would appreciate it in 10 years time. I assume Billie's fine with it since he's played the songs and remixed Fell For You recently, as well as saying this when asked if he regretted it: âOh no. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have put all three records out at the same time. I wouldnât have staggered them. That was the only thing. But that was just this crazy time for us. Just throw down some songs and itâs all about the moment. Donât think, just play. Donât think, just write. If itâs flawed in any way, itâs because itâs unfocused. But I think thatâs the beauty of it too.â (source - is this a GDC member's photo? I don't remember, sorry!) And I love it so I'm glad1 point
-
The only negative I can remember was Mike talking about how they weren't the easiest songs to want to play (because of Billie's bad times when they recorded them and how he sang about it in them) but I think even then he said something about maybe revisiting more of them when more time had passed. I can't remember them saying anything negative about the direction of the music, just that they didn't have the best memories attached to the songs. Might've just missed it though.1 point

Made this yesterday after I was just watching Awesome As Fuck again. So hot! đ I love it when Billie runs his hand(s) through his hair. It's from the BOBD footage. Here's a couple more really good hair ones. Great arms in this one too. 𤤠EDIT: One more.1 point

So many people hate on Uno, but it's my favorite of the trilogy. It's loud, fast, and just fun. No not every song is a hit and the lyrics aren't amazing, but that's okay. It's still a blast to listen to!1 point

I still think they could do an album this year. It's only March, they've got plenty of time!1 point

He does have lovely legs. Wish he'd flaunt them more often. His feet are pretty cute, too. ^ Especially when he slips on those colorful little socks.1 point

Yeah, it's San Francisco. The scene where Billie pulls the phone off the wall is in Powell St. BART Station. It ends with a shot of MisiĂłn San Francisco de AsĂs. The phone is still there, so you can go and re-enact the scene if you feel so inclined1 point
