Hmm, so Tre is in SoCal, Mike is in SoCal, Billie is in SoCal and we think has been for at least a week now, and Chris Dugan is now in SoCal. Dare we assume things are brewing?..2 points

Sweet! This isn't *technically* newly surfaced. The recording has been online since 2006, but just this week a better sounding transfer surfaced on Dimeadozen. So it's just an upgrade, but a damn good one! All credit to huskerdu1972 who posted it on Dime1 point

It was play at my high school graduation. Hilarious to me then, and even more so now. It felt like it was literally a "Good Riddance" to the majority of my classmates. And of course our walkout song was White Snake "Here I go Again".1 point
-
Well, it's either that or Ha Ha You're Dead.1 point
-
I can't help but find it funny when people play it at funerals, just because of the fact that it's called Good Riddance.😂1 point

The pictures of Billie with Mickey are lovely but honestly, I would have liked to see more Billie, not less Mickey but a little more Billie. But then I always want more Billie 💕💕💕1 point

Made my boyfriend appreciate Mike's vocals today, whether he was gonna accept it or not! ((spoiler he actually ended up really liking Mike's singing so it was a total success!))1 point

I've always been struck with how cat-like Billie's expressions can be. Especially while looking at things. It's very funny and cute! I don't know why he's holding a stuffed animal in his mouth, but it reminds me of how my kitten carries her toys around in her mouth like that. These are very much "offended cat" expressions: And "startled cat": Sorry for picture overload, I just love him! 😍1 point

I've always thought something about his teeth affected his singing on Warning too. It's very...spitty and a faint lisp. Maybe the chipped front teeth did it? I don't know but it's different. But also I think he just changed his style of singing. He used to sing in a more bratty/shouty way and (whether consciously or unconsciously) kind of threw both his singing and speaking voice to make it sound lower. At some point he dropped that and let his naturally higher speaking voice come through and I think something similar happened with the singing, it became more natural sounding and less stylised. Warning was probably in the transitional period of that.1 point

Green Day get a mention in this Pop Culture 25 Years Later article (it talks about Dookie): https://25yearslatersite.com/2019/02/22/popculture25yl-february-1994-green-day-pavement-drop-classics-michael-jordan-plays-baseball-gwen-stacy-takes-a-dive-again/ This is what it says: Green Day – Dookie by Bryan O’Donnell 1994 was a monumental year for music. I plan on contributing to many of the PopCulture25YL columns to talk about the music from 25 years ago. I’m biased, probably, because 1994 hit directly in the time I was growing up and becoming obsessed with music, but I think the year was the best year of new music ever. Green Day’s Dookie, the band’s third album, was released on February 1, 1994. At that time, I was in 6th grade, religiously listening to Metallica and Nirvana. I remember liking Dookie’s first single, “Longview,” well enough, but it wasn’t until later that year and into 1995 that I remember the album exploding. Dookie was perhaps the most iconic album of my middle school years. Everyone had the Dookie T-shirt. I remember trying to out-cool everyone by buying a Kerplunk (the band’s second album) T-shirt, but it probably only hurt my popularity. It seemed like a new song from the album would be released as a single every week. In addition to “Longview,” this album features songs you still hear on the radio on a regular basis (yes I still listen to the radio): “Basket Case,” “When I Come Around,” “Welcome to Paradise,” and “She.” It’s hard to believe all of those songs were on the same album. Sitting down to write this piece and listening to Dookie after a long time away from it, I felt a wave of nostalgia kick in right from the get-go. The album starts with “Burnout,” a very angsty song that definitely spoke to me in my uncomfortable early-teen years: “I’m not growing up, I’m just burning out.” Two more non-hits follow — “Having a Blast” and “Chump” — and they are also excellent. Diving back in to some of these lesser-known songs was truly a pleasure. With a lot of the music from this time centering around grunge, Green Day’s Dookie introduced people who listened to mainstream music to punk rock. It was an important album then, and it’s still an important (and very good) album today. As someone who later got heavily into punk rock for a period of my life (constantly listening to the Clash, NOFX, Bad Religion, and many others), I’m not sure if I ever would have made that musical leap if it weren’t for Green Day releasing Dookie when they did.1 point

Honestly, Billie has made the idea of aging more appealing to me, because he wears the little fine lines on his face so well. Those little “imperfections” are so charming to me. It’s a shame that most of us aren’t/won’t be lucky enough to age as well as he has. (I realize this is a bit random, but it’s just something I’ve had on my mind a lot lately)1 point

I'm not the biggest fan of the slicked back style, but he does still look hot. I seriously don't know how he just doesn't look any older ever. Yet more proof that he's an immortal, mythical being. Billie is fucking incredible!1 point

Comparing it to Ringo's Beatles songs is harsh But yeah as far as singing goes I enjoy Mike most as a back up singer doing harmonies with Billie, he's perfect at that1 point

I'm thrilled that we've been given these two gorgeous pictures of Billie after a number of quieter months towards the end of last year- and I'm excited for all the new pictures that will come at us at an increasing rate as we move towards the next album. I'm getting Warning era vibes from his clothes in yesterday's picture which combine nicely with the slicked back hair.1 point

Shameless attempt to get us all back to talking about Billie's new chompers on the fangirl thread 😂1 point

Just discovered the "Stay the Night" acoustic off Demolicious and um I am OBSESSED. slightly sick sounding Billie that was either recorded on a phone or a potato is just mesmerizing for me. GOD I love this band and I love this man 😭1 point

Thank you to everyone who helped me figure out how to include pictures in my posts. I've attached this picture as a test. I really like how the shirt Billie's wearing in this photo accentuates his plump lil bellie. Also thank you @The Bellie for suggesting that I attempt this from a computer. I assumed I'd be able to upload and post pictures from my tablet, but I couldn't manage to do this until I switched over to my computer. I should've considered that awhile ago.1 point
