  1. @maryjanewhatsername I put in a spoiler above one of the photos with Mojo you posted, he gets to lay his paws on the bellie, how lucky The Hyde Park look was totally raccoon I think the resemblance also comes from the bold / cute look at the same time and I'm sorry but I just found that and @Jane Lannister you are right, raccoons are (also) little shits

  8. I had the same exact thought. At all three shows where the audience rushed the stage, Kevin was right there with him. DC Baltimore Philadelphia Just a heads up before the mods yell at you; they ask not to have too many pics in one post because it slows down how fast the page loads. If you have multiples, you might want to put them in spoilers. Personally, I cap mine at four usually.

  11. https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/28440-dunlop-unveils-the-dookie-drive?fbclid=IwAR0rg2uYdnrqz21Wdqca1LrJn17yPR1eKYSQsZ_ihxOgdCdNPf3JlV_w5Ss https://www.jimdunlop.com/ Benicia, CA (January 21, 2019) -- Billie Joe Armstrong’s guitar tone on Green Day’s groundbreaking album Dookie sounded dirty and punchy with the perfect amount of articulation to express the musicality of his fast, melodic riffs. He got that sound by running his signal through two heavily modified amplifiers—one scooped with a ton of gain and the other with a well-defined midrange. When it came time to mix the record, the band blended the two signals together in different ratios to match the vibe of each track. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dookie, we’re releasing the MXR Dookie Drive. It captures the sound of both of Billie Joe’s amps in a single pedal so that you can dial in your own variations of that famous Dookie sound. We borrowed the amps themselves so that the MXR team could carefully analyze all the sonic qualities that make them sound so darn good. After much analysis and A/B testing, our engineers rebuilt the amps from scratch in pedal circuit form and fit them into a single housing. The High Gain and Clean Gain sections each have their own controls, while the Blend control allows you to mix them together just like Green Day did in the studio. If you want some extra scoop in the midrange of the overall output signal, just hit the Scoop switch. The Dookie Drive isn’t just for Green Day fans—this totally unique pedal provides a full harmonic range of overdriven tones for a playing experience that is full of depth and dimension. $189 street

  16. I had to look where Kansas City, Chicago, Austin and Washington DC respectively were. Amazing! That kid and his family traveled (at least) in four different places in the US to see Billie, and Chase was invited the two first times. I know it's not so rare that Billie invites kids this age, but the way he talked about Chase in the Kansas City live, (I said Instagram the first time but it was Facebook, here I put a link to the vid on youtube), the fact he chose to invite him a second time when he recognized him, while this kid happens to be a really big fan, really touches me . As you mentioned that gig of The Longhsot in Washington, I looked up again for that 17 min vid on YT where Billie invites people on stage and gets bumped up, with phones brandished in front of his face all the time, in a way I feel very mitigated about , at least. I mean, the only thing that makes me feel mitigated and not really hateful about it is that Billie keeps his smile, and gets along with it, good or bad. And in spite of all, I really wish that these types of experiences during the Longshot tour contributed to make that tour special to him, in a positive way. I didn't notice Chase in that vid but I noticed another kid with long hair that was standing next to Billie on stage, I think it's the same one he invited to play Knowledge (the vid is great) in Camden, NJ, during Rev Rad. And Billie definitely recognized him with The Longshot the following year, and felt happy about his presence, and that's awesome as well. Funny enough, even though I didn't feel comfortable watching that vid again, it made me plunge in the feelings of being at my own Longshot gigs, I had the impression I was really there for a few seconds, I remembered details I had forgotten in mind, that were brought to me by sensations. Maybe because I wanted to be there so I wouldn't hate completely when Billie gets bumped like that. At one point he puts himself on the floor, and people lean over him with their phone in between... Still, in the end, he makes that smile with the second kid I talked about. So I can't hate it completely, all the situation with the fans onstage is a mix of awkward, dumb and awesome, and the edge is often tenuous between cheerful and aggressive from the fans; in the end, it's Billie who draws the line. Anyways, he really is a great singer, musician, performer, rockstar, human being, to be able to carry on, marvelously, lightheartedly, what he was doing in these conditions, his breath cut all the time, the mic in front of his face about to swing away or towards him. I don't wish that it happens again, but it makes me even more admiring to see it. Also, about that vid, I might have said it already last year when it came out, but I'm thankful to Kevin for having helped Billie out by coming closer to him when he could, sharing a laughter or a solo with him, making him feel less alone in this tornado of cell phone fans. I enjoyed Kevin for all he was in The Longhsot, but in these types of situations, I'm more than enjoying, I'm really loving what he did. It was so important.

  17. One obvious point is you’re always paying more for a product with a band image or art on it that had had to be licensed. They have to charge more to cover that cost so of course a pedal with Dookie art on it will cost more than a plain looking one. Depends on how much that matters to you as to whether you’re willing to pay more.

  18. If I wasn’t so busy at work, I’d offer to create the calendar (I'm a graphic designer). Based on the size of the images, the calendar wouldn’t be very large. Maybe a 5”X5” square photo. Maybe over the summer, when school is out and my workload slows some, I could give it a shot... (i work at a university/college) Should I set up a Dropbox folder for people to submit their “Billie with animals” photos? I can drop the link in my profile, maybe? @Hermione is that possible?

  19. Billie is gorgeous on that Instagram photo with the dog but seriously, I have a hard time finding animals cute compared to Billie. I mean, I find them cute, but not as much as him. @Jane Lannister yeah a photo with Billie wearing eyeliner and a raccoon would be perfect. (I also find animals like raccoons cuter than most cats and dogs.) And if it were in a calendar, it would have to be a funny month, like April Seriously, we should make a fanmade calendar with pics of Billie and animals (we could easily find 12, there's also that gif of Billie holding a puppy with cute music during The Longshot) and send a unique copy to Billie for his birthday. Then he decides if he wants it to be a thing or not

  25. Fuck, it's expensive. But I'm sure it sounds wayyyyy better than the $30 pedal I got off Amazon. Only 11 more months until Christmas, hopefully it's still available by then!

  26. I had to watch the show again just to see what he said about Bon Jovi. Jesus christ they were grumpy and obnoxious that night, never ending sarcasm and going on about how shitty the event is after every song lol. At 20:05 he takes the piss by singing Wanted Dead or Alive badly with a few different lyrics before claiming to have written it . At 28:35 he says "Richie Sambora eat your fucking heart out baby" after playing random guitar notes. And at 36:30 he sings Living on a Prayer as "living off my hair". For some reason I thought there was more than that. Maybe a couple of the other sarcastic comments were known to be aimed at them or something, not sure. Very entertaining show in any case
