It was February 19th, 2011. I believe the 6pm showing. I was lucky enough to win front row seats through the little ticket lottery that they did before the show. I had already bought one of course, so I gave that one to my cousin who I was staying with so she could see it too. That's the luckiest thing that's ever happened to me in my entire life. I don't remember a lot about the encore except for Billie walking up and standing right in front of my seat for Good Riddance and being so close that I could have reached out and touched him. It's kind of a blur because I was so in awe. There are so many things that I've thought of after the fact that I could have done. I could have written a letter before hand and given it to him. I could have bought a rose or something for him. I could have just said 'thank you'. He was right there! I didn't get to see him after the show when he came out of the theater and was signing stuff on his way to his car. There were so many people crowding around. I do regret that, but I'm so fortunate to have had the experience that I did. Here are some pictures from that night (It was 8 years ago, I look so young!):8 points

I had to watch the show again just to see what he said about Bon Jovi. Jesus christ they were grumpy and obnoxious that night, never ending sarcasm and going on about how shitty the event is after every song lol. At 20:05 he takes the piss by singing Wanted Dead or Alive badly with a few different lyrics before claiming to have written it . At 28:35 he says "Richie Sambora eat your fucking heart out baby" after playing random guitar notes. And at 36:30 he sings Living on a Prayer as "living off my hair". For some reason I thought there was more than that. Maybe a couple of the other sarcastic comments were known to be aimed at them or something, not sure. Very entertaining show in any case5 points

Yeah, it's too bad I wasn't on GDC yet either. It was so emotional for me! I felt like there was something wrong with me because of how intensely I was affected and it would have been great to work through that with other fangirls. So glad I found this community! β€οΈ3 points

We missed you by three days! What a shame. @solongfromthestars won tickets in the lottery too. It was the most amazing thing ever3 points

One of the funniest things about watching that show is how Billie was pissed off that Bon Jovi were part of the line up and was making fun of them (don't remember when as I haven't watched it for ages but I know he did), and how afterwards he said part of the reason he stripped off was because they were there lmao There's video too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFeXuzYanbI3 points

More Billie pics. Some old ones and some not so old. I really like the first one (it's different to the one that always seems to be used from this photoshoot):1 point

Wasn't it for charity or something like that? I'm still looking into whether it was for charity or not but I did find out that it was "She" Billie sang nude and this photo from Rolling Stone:1 point

When were you there? It's a shame it wasn't when we were and we could have met up I remember there was a lady at one of the performances and she was on her phone the whole night EXCEPT when Billie took the stage Then she gave him her undivided attention!1 point

Youβre so lucky! Iβm jealous of anyone who got to see him on Broadway. Iβd be happy to just see the musical with or without him. What was your encore like at the show you were at? Itβs fun to watch all the different ones on YouTube.1 point

In Blood, Sex, and Booze, I could have swore he was saying "Sitting on the stove, it's what I deserve" - instead of "Sitting undisturbed..." It's actually quite fitting to the song, too.. π€£π€£1 point

I listened to Insomniac today through headphones for the first time in forever and my guess is that Blue is in the left speaker and the les paul is in the right. the guitar in the right channel sounds a little darker, and usually when there's a break in the drums and bass, the guitar in the right speaker breaks with them while the one in the left speaker keeps playing, so I'm guessing the left channel was recorded first and I'm assuming that Billie would have used Blue as his first choice. also, there's some pretty sloppy palm muting in 86 lol1 point
