I found the video of Billie telling the story of tattooing Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs. Getting tattooed by Billie sounds interesting

This chick could just be like, "hey, it's like picking out a puppy; he jumped right into my arms and I knew he was the one".

Fans have made this connection and I'm assuming he must have at least heard of it being from the Bay Area and a worldly guy and that it's most likely where he got the idea from, but he hasn't said anything about it himself. My guess would be it's mostly for aesthetic purposes (makes his bum look good and black goes with his outfits) plus the hanky code connection makes it a bit more cool and subversive, and those are the reasons why he went for the look. But someone should ask him about it in an interview . Kind of surprised no one ever randomly has.

I believe it’s to do with the handkerchief code. Though that may have just been a random thing I read somewhere. A black handkerchief in his right pocket would suggest he is an S&M bottom, which fits with some of the musical catalogue of the band very well.

This has maybe been said before, but there are a lot of "Rocky" (movie) references in the GD family: Rocky, Billie's dog who passed away last year; Mickey = Rocky's trainer; Adrienne, Billie's wife & Adrian, Rocky's wife. Of course, none of them may be on purpose, especially not Adrienne, but it's still funny to observe. Apart from that, I love Mickey as a first name. I don't want to reignite the "debate" that's been going on in the last couple of pages, but just say this in general and also responding to @LaughingClock and @Billie Hoe (this is long so I put it in a spoiler). Other random thought: take a close look on Billie's polka dot tie (you can widely zoom on this pic) and you'll see that it's made in China, unfortunately (or fortunately as a big fuck you to Trump, who knows ?) I know, this is dumb because almost everything is made in China, but it's funny to see it for the tie

Frankenstein always seemed to be the peach strat to me because all the holes on the pickguard (including the neck and middle pickups) are covered up except for the bridge humbucker and volume knob. It’s very well that quite a few of these instruments were parts guitars. Blue 2 being another example because of the left handed bridge. I will add that the ones I definitely know are not parts guitars are the Blue and Red guitars from the HMV Alley show and the Maroon telecaster from the nimrod cycle.

Also, I believe there are multiple copies of the master tapes. So even if one set was in bad condition, there are others. John said he has master tapes at his place.

Anyone know why 24/96 digital masters of any pre dookie material, haven't been made available yet? It seems overdue for an HD lossless source. Considering that almost their entire catalogue is now out there in 24bit. What Tre said about the master tapes being fragile doesn't really hold up anymore. As I'm sure there's digital backups stored somewhere. I'd love to hear Kerplunk in 24bit, sometime haha.

I don't think there was ever an official answer for that. Was Frankenstein definitely a strat though? When I was a kid I thought that maybe Frankenstein might have been the black tele from the nimrod era. also, I put together a Warmoth bass a while back and named it "Herman" after Herman Munster because he's a Frankenstein lol
