I have so much love in my heart for this amazing human being. Just had one of those moments where it really hits me just how much he means to me, and how he has such a huge positive impact on my life/me as a person/the way I'm feeling at any given time, and how much I appreciate having him around. We are honestly so lucky to have him, and I feel truly blessed to have him in my life (even though I don't know him personally). He is just downright incredible, more than words can describe, and he means more than the world to me. I love him so freakin' much. He's an absolute angel and he deserves all the best. P.S. Sorry for the emotional post, the feels all just hit me out of nowhere and I felt like I had to post about it.

Yeah there doesn't need to be a debate based on assumptions full stop, assumptions about the ex or assumptions about Jeff. That Jeff posted all this stuff isn't an assumption though, it's just a fact that he posted it publicly and has now expressed regret for doing it publicly and that's why people are commenting on it. Whether he or she is the better person or what their motivations in their relationship were on the other hand are things we have no clue about and aren't our business. You can't judge someone's character based on Instagram photos. Thinking you can judge a woman by looking at photos of her plus captions like "I love you" is just judging women by their appearance/sexism. Fans would have the same "gut feeling" about any young attractive woman a band member dated.

To tell the truth, at first I didn't think it was that bad, just classic Jeff being a dick on twitter. It's normal to be angry after a breakup. If a regular dude did that, I'm sure everyone would wave it off as stupid behavior that doesn't really cause any harm, but regular dudes don't have the following he has. I changed my opinion when I saw the hating gained momentum and he encouraged it. That's where he's crossed a line. It's not cool to have your fans to harrass someone.

There’s nothing to suggest his ex did anything wrong. But there is evidence of Jeff being a twat on social media 🤷🏻‍♀️ I find the idea of her getting death threats a bit ridiculous though - I know some GD fans are intense but who loves Jeff Matika to that extent, to blindly send her stuff based on his word alone? (For real though I know this is a problem for women who are/were involved with male celebs so Jeff stoked what was probably an already lit flame, and he probably knew that.) Anyway, fascinating as Jeff’s personal life is 😛 at least he realised he was wrong and hopefully everyone, not least them, can now move on from the whole thing.

No problem at all, I feel the same about him, I always get so happy and emotional when I speak of him, even if people around me don't get it . He gets me to smile and laugh every day, and everything is lighter and brighter thanks to him. His smile is just the best thing in the world.

Yeah he could've expected it, but is he able to think of that rationally when he's only angry and desperate? I think the problem is social media being used for expressing these kinds of feelings right when you feel them, since people don't react rationally to these posts either. Hating on her when it's easy to see he's just hurt after their break up? It's obvious and normal he's going to be hurt, and angry against her right after that. Indeed he shouldn't express this stuff on there.

lol. Jeff should grow the fuck up and maybe find a girlfriend his own age where he doesn't feel compelled to act like a 12 year old. What he's doing is beyond immature and even cruel... telling people to keep hating on her, subtweeting her? I don't care what he thinks she did. There are two sides to every story.

It's not about whether what he said is totally accurate or not. It's just that we don't really know anything about it to debate it lol. All we know is he ill advisedly ranted about his breakup on social media and has now apologised for doing that. The actual story of what happened in their relationship isn't something we really know, or something that can be speculated on based on limited details from one side. I think there is a slight misunderstanding. People aren't arguing whether Jeff or the ex is the bad one in the relationship and criticising him based on that. They're just criticising him for posting about it like that on social media. He's agreed that he shouldn't have done it and said sorry now so hopefully things can move on.

Can we not speculate about Jeff, Jeff's ex and their relationship please. All we know is what's been posted on social media plus the fact that there's two sides to every story so it's not the best idea to assume one side is gospel, or that it's not gospel for that matter. We don't know anything about their motivations and a debate about who is good or bad based on guesswork and assumptions doesn't need to happen here.

Oh, I didn't see that. Just noticing it on the screenshot @Billie Hoe took above. Yeah that's a shitty thing to say. I understand though that he must have had himself hate thoughts towards her, that could be normal right after a break up, but yeah when he posts it on social media he'll regret it afterwards, since these hate thoughts vanish quickly. But who is immature, he posting his thoughts at the moment he's blinded by them, or his followers whose judgments aren't supposedly blinded and yet who start (on their own) to hate on his ex? I mean, he said what he said afterwards and that was shitty, but if people started to hate on her, it's these people who chose to do so themselves. I think the social media machine is more to blame than Jeff in particular

This may sound weird, but I love that Billie writes embarrassing and cringy songs. Not that I necessarily find them myself cringy, even though I see where this feeling comes from in Youngblood for instance, but for some reason I like that some of their songs can have this reputation. They don't give a shit and keep playing them. I wish they continue to play more embarrassing and cringy songs live, with the same passion they played Youngblood throughout the Rev Rad tour .

I refrain from having an Opinion TM on this because it obviously isn't our business, however Jeff's behavior isn't okay at all. He's a grown man and the way he's acted is plain wrong. Just don't wash dirty laundry in public. It's good he's recognizing he's made a mistake.

Has that just become the standard put down these days for anyone who posts in the fangirl thread like they’re not capable of rational thought? Opinions can differ from yours and nobody is fangirling over Jeff. No need to dismiss people. I think what he did was wrong and we have no idea what she did other than his word but you basically shamed him publicly for shaming her publicly and that seems hypocritical. Who are we to judge anything about this relationship when we don’t know the facts? Either offer sympathy for the breakup or leave them alone.

Yes Jeff shouldn’t be airing his personal stuff on social media and there is no excuse for people actually threatening her. Ridiculous. However, there is something about this young lady that made my red flags pop up from the beginning of the relationship. I don’t trust her at all, and I think she was using him. Jeff was also kind of stupid to get involved with her though so he bears a lot of the responsibility. And of course as I said, no excuse for online threats.

I'm glad Jeff has tried to calm things down, yes he did wrong and appears to have learnt from it. Kaylie has now made her IG either private or deleted after she did a live video crying that people were making hurtful threats to her and her son. Seriously, where do people get off. That is never OK to threaten someone 😭. Hope they sort it all out and come to peace with however it gets left, and move on. Whether she did wrong or not, she didn't deserve that. Hope she's OK too.

It's understandable his feelings are hurt and ranting on twitter is a very Jeff thing to do.

Seemed like they enjoyed being together so it's a shame for it to happen right before Christmas. It is quite immature to post on twitter about it like that, I guess he was hurt and wanted to get it out of his system and not necessarily in the most rational and considerate frame of mind.

I was wearing my Packers hat on the train home from work the other day when a crowd of pissheads got on. It doesn't even say Green Bay Packers, just Packers. They still thought the Packers and Green Day were the same thing and started shouting "AMERICAN IDIOT!" and "SHE LIKES GREEN DAY!" until one of them went "no, Green BAY PACKERS!" Then they saw the photo of me and Billie onstage on my phone and asked if we were married. England's memory of Green Day is strange.
