There needs to be a jealousy reaction. It's driving me insane, I remember a story about the Hitchin a Ride video, where one of the girls (forgot if she was in the video or behind the scenes) mentioned Billie having a hole in his pants and not wearing anything underneath, and seeing everything, and I cannot find it (the story that is).

I've posted about this before after reading it in an interview but sadly when I google it now all I can find is my own posts so I think like many other typed up online Green Day interviews it's gone . But I totally remember it, he was asked to tell an embarrassing story and said he was wearing really old trousers when shooting the HAR video and the zip kept falling down, and at one point a woman working on the set was like ugh I can see your pubic hair! He also said he didn't even think this was very embarrassing but it was just the first thing he thought of . Ever since I read it years ago it's all I think of when I see that video lol.

The ripped pants discussion reminds me of when Billie mooned us at the 2013 Chicago show. My life felt complete then.

When the fandom was more active, people (especially on GDC) raised eyebrows at private photos regardless of the source. There are too many things we can't know including whether the source actually understands the nature in which fans share photos and creep on the people in them. As intriguing as Amanda is, she's none of our business. It's certainly not for us to "out" and treat her like a commodity to be discussed. I don't either. Not only are the movies totally different, the bands are totally different. I don't see how they would have any bearing on each other. Plus, as much as I adore GD, Queen is a little bit higher on the overall popularity list and I would imagine the studio would expect a larger audience. I agree. I seriously doubt there were any expectations to make money on that film. Someone said the film was full of A listers, but it really wasn't. The closest was Selma Blair and she pretty much has been a supporting player her whole career so really not an A lister. I'm sure the film cost more than 65K but I don't think it cost much to make.

It can be, if you use English Teacher Bullshit Interpretation Skills (tm) and apply everything in American Idiot to Billie's life

I'm afraid they're still classed as private photos that shouldn't be posted here. If she had shared them on a public social media account herself they'd be allowed, but photos only shared with random people/fans who've then decided to share them publicly aren't really public photos. Understandable to think they'd be allowed as it's kind of a unique situation but for the reasons mentioned I've hidden them.

Not to mention there will be less interest in it if he's not in it. Look at the Broadway numbers.

That wasn’t a Green Day project though, carrying the Green Day name, and St Jimmy is just a supporting role anyway. With a box office draw cast as Johnny they would attract both mainstream audiences and fans alike. Last we had heard here from @LaughingClock the project was now moving ahead as a direct result of the success of Bohemian Rhapsody. There is a demand for rock musicals with a hint of nostalgia. This film is nothing like the independent film Ordinary World and shouldn’t be compared to it. (Besides, I don’t know that OW was even a “disaster” as you describe. It was a low budget film shot in three weeks. Reviews for the film were so so but for Billie’s acting they were overwhelmingly positive. It’s possible the film broke even. Independent films rarely turn a profit.)

Yes, it was torture to not be able to fangirl over these amazing new pic with you all! 😩 So glad GDC is back! I'm glad I was able to donate $20 to help bring it back. I know not everyone has extra money to spend so it's great that the people who could chip in cared enough to do so. Yay teamwork!

Literally every time I’ve gotten in my car for the last five days I’ve heard Green Day on the radio. Thursday I caught Brain Stew/Jaded and Minority back to back. Saturday I heard BOBD. Sunday I heard When I Come Around. Just now I came back from the store and heard American Idiot. These are short fifteen minute trips. Both FM and satellite stations, and songs from four different albums. Not bad, either I’ve gotten extremely lucky with my timing or GD is getting an airplay boost.
