What’s great about it is it allows him to sign just “Billie Joe” and it identifies him. He never even put Armstrong on the record sleeves or used it in interviews until AI. He couldn’t have done that with just “Billie”, too generic.

Looks like the London Foxboro show from the Rev coat/rosaries and white shirt (later to be so soaked with beer you could see his tattoos through it ), from the very beginning when he still had the coat on and his hair was still dry lol. Haven't seen that pic before! I still remember how great it was the first time FBHT played shows and we got to see their outfits/characters, for months it was just the music and artwork with no photos of the band so it was quite the reveal. Don't forget the best disguise of all (even though it totally isn't really him )

I think it is more plausible his name comes from this song: Considering the story of the song is coming from, when this country song was released and how it was popular a few years just before Billie's birth, I would say Ollie got inspiration from this one.

I don't know about the baby but Billie loves his name, he might pretend he doesn't but he's obsessed with talking about it and easily could've just gone by Bill or Billy if he wanted to so I think he clearly does . I think most people with unusual names like having them but even if she doesn't she could just go by Emilie when she's older if she prefers.

I like this one, especially because apparently he dressed as a burglar like this every Halloween for several years

The boxer one is from Quebec City in 2013. It was a gift. Each member (including Jason White) received a boxer kit from I don't remember which brand located in the city. They all had their last name written on the back. There used to be photos on the GD Instagram account, but they have been deleted since then. Talking about Billie in costumes: I love this man and gooffiness. And I love costumes. Billie wearing costumes is one of the greatest thing to watch.

I'm sure that's why he called his mom a "country bitch" on the longshot tour for giving him that name, haha. He also seems to go by Billie most of the time. I think he's made peace with it though and likes it in terms of being his goofy self 😊

I had my Dookie t-shirt on yesterday. My friend and I went visiting her aunt. We went eating in a fast-food reataurant. One of the cooks stopped his job to come tell me I had a awesome t-shirt and that he was jealous.
