We don't have one unfortunately... But there is this gif. Do you think it will do the job?11 points

I know. I always feel really uncomforable when I see any videos or anything from iHeart because Billie was going through a really rough time. But he did look really hot during that era. I'm just happy any time we get to see his stomach! ^Those biceps are pretty nice too!9 points

For one reason or another, right now, I'm only finding on Pinterest gif of Billie getting/trying to get shirtless... Beautiful body! And those pictures too: And finally the pants: I think Pinterest wants Billie to get undressed.9 points

Had a dream that Billie was a Taxi Driver (cue Longshot getting stuck in my head), and in the taxi he was playing Cardi B songs, and he was really fanboying over her (and it was adorable might I add). By the end of the taxi journey, he had managed to convert my grandparents into Cardi B fans.5 points

I agree. Playing the biggest hits is a safe way to make a good show but it surely wouldn't suffer if they threw in a couple less known songs. It would be a step out of the comfort zone big fans would appreciate and more casual ones might not even notice. RevRad was as much of a biggest hits tour as possible and I still saw people complaining they didn't play Guns and September so they might as well play a couple deep cuts instead - there's too many hit singles to play them all anyway.4 points

Okay, my level of fangirl has just gone beyond ridiculous now - the mayor of Viggiano just liked one of my Instagram posts, and I'm in the middle of a full-on fangirl meltdown for no other reason than somebody who spent a reasonable amount of time with Billie liked one of my posts. Like, it's not Billie himself or even someone particularly close to him, yet here I am rolling around on my bedroom floor and trying not to scream, all because someone who has touched Billie more than once and breathed the same air as him for a few days just happened to like my post. I know, I'm not okay. God, imagine what my reaction would be like if Billie himself ever liked one of my posts or comments.3 points

I even like their structured show style and I'm not that bothered about rare songs but yeah. I don't think playing a couple more rarer songs or missing out a couple of American Idiot songs would have the devastating effect on the atmosphere of the show that they think. I remember one time when someone asked Billie in a Q&A if they might play 80 and he was like "there'd be 10,000 people who wouldn't have a clue what it was" and looked horrified imagining it . Like dude it wouldn't be that bad, your band's amazing live sound and your talent as a frontman counts for something as well as just whether people know the songs or not.3 points
-
Yes it should . But at least he pronounced it right I honestly think they could push it with playing less well known songs at a big show more than they do, I believe more people would be into it than they think. But they genuinely believe they can't, like when they talk about it it's clear they really think the show will suffer if they do it and are scared of it lol. Not talking a whole show of rarities, literally just 2 or 3 less American Idiot/Dookie songs replaced with songs from other albums or a couple of rarely played songs per show. But in interviews when they get asked about playing even one rare song they act like it's impossible. They're experts at putting together a good show but....I think with that one aspect of it if they tried it they might be surprised.3 points

I'd love to hear more of their old songs like Disappearing Boy, 16, Words I Might Have Ate, Road to Acceptance, One for the Razorbacks, etc. And I miss the 21CB era songs! Or some songs from Shenanigans like Ha Ha You're Dead and Outsider. And now for a random GD thought that popped into my head this morning: It'd be funny if a bug flew into Billie's mouth while he was singing at an outdoor venue. I wonder if that's ever happened to him.2 points

Casual fans who only know the singles won't know songs like Letterbomb or Are We the Waiting. You could easily switch those out with, say, All the Time and Worry Rock (I'm still pissed Nimrod didn't get a 20 year anniversary) and they'd be none the wiser. HAR and KFAD are perfection. They're also example of songs the average person isn't going to know, but work because they encourage audience participation.2 points
-
Agreed. I think putting on a guaranteed amazing show with great atmosphere throughout is what they love doing and more important to them than what songs they play. Some bands really really want to play deep cuts or certain songs etc (even if it's to the point of annoying the crowd) but I think it just isn't as important to them. They love playing songs that give them a great reaction from the crowd. I don't even really mind that they don't change up songs much , I'll keep enjoying the shows whatever the setlist is as when I'm there at the show it's far from the most important thing. I just think they totally could pull it off if they wanted to. Maybe they don't though haha.2 points
-
I think they're hesitant to switch it up because if they use the same set every night they can practically do it in their sleep. I don't mean that as a laziness comment, more that they want to put on perfect show. They absolutely could. Nearly every band I've seen has played at least one song that half the audience doesn't know or care for and it's never derailed the show. But you're right, it's very clear in how they talk about it that they think it will result in an awkwardly silent crowd, and kill the energy, and all that. If they played more of a variety and included some deeper cuts, you'd have casual fans walking away liking some songs they didn't know previously, maybe even leading to them becoming bigger fans, and you'd have die hards saying "ahh, they played a few songs I never got in the last 20 shows I went to. I have to go another night to see if they play more stuff like that!". Both lead to more ticket sales. When all you do is play the hits, people get their nostalgia fix and move on till you come back on their radar in a few years. They ARE experts at putting together a great ONE-TIME show. It will be the best show you've ever seen the first time you see it. But if they challenged their audience more it would be the best show EVERY time.2 points

Absolutely. When they played Going To Pasalaqua and JAR at my show last year, I didn't see many people singing along, but I don't think it ruined the show for them while it was amazing for me and many others who knew it.2 points

Same! I also love in the gif underneath the iheart one how he bends to pull the shirt off his head and the little belly squishes out. And chubby Billie in a thong though. Those thighs.🤤2 points

Who knew Pintrest was secretly a fangirl? And I feel guilty for sexualizing iHeart, but can I just say I love the belly bulge he gets on his left side when he rubs his stomach?2 points

I don’t think they should continue regardless of who it is either. And I see your point but then theres Keith Richards. But I’m gonna stop thinking about it now because it’s in the hands of fate and 50/50 genetics so nothing to be gained. I’m all for morbid talk but with some people I just can’t.1 point

Does anyone else get kinda uneasy at the fact that Green Day won't always be a thing? I mean, sure they may keep rocking well into their 70's-80's, like Roger Waters or the Stones, and we'll always have their previous albums to listen to. But like, someday Billie's gonna die (and the band wouldn't be the same without him), or the band could break up (doubtful, but still a possibility). Someday, Green Day's going to release their last album. And that makes me sad.1 point
-
Off topic, but this just reminded me- it's interesting how quickly people learn songs. I went to the second Longshot show, before the album came out, and just based off of the video footage from 1234 Go, we were all singing those songs like we had been for years. Amazing how the memory works.1 point

That's funny, because when you become a Green day fan, I don't see how you could not want to discover their entire catalog at some point... But it's true that at each concert I've been to last year, many people (of my age mostly, or younger) seemed to know more some songs than others. Perhaps because they were recent fans, while GD's catalog is really big. When I went to my 1st show, I only knew a little half of the songs that were played, because basically I had only listened to RevRad, 21st CB and AI, in a little 6 months of fandom. At the following shows, I know by heart all the songs (and most of the trilogy songs even though they weren't played) and I could enjoy it much better than the 1st one. So I won't say it's not worth to go to as many GD shows as possible just because in the same tour it's mostly the same setlist. Plus, the performance is different every time. And those songs they play all the time are really offering a great show. I think it's great that they can play the same songs every night and still perform better and better a the tour goes on. And one song is never really the same that way. That was really my feeling with RevRad. And they have played several songs here and there that weren't on the core setlist; just to cite those I think of right now : Last Night on Earth, Jar, Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lanterns, 86, Walk Away, 80, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Give Me Novacaine, Nuclear Family, Too Dumb To Die, Amy, Troubled Times, Armatage Shanks, F.O.D... Scattered, Welcome To Paradise and Christie Road that weren't on every show... 21 Guns that was added in place of Ordinary World (I love both songs equally, I had the luck to attend the Hyde Park gig where Billie was still in the switching process and played both!) That's not nothing. All these special moments were really badass, yeah (Australia, New Zealand and South America had some load of rare stuff played during that tour! ) and shows that it's important for them as well to play other songs here and there. That being said, I also think they just want a structure for shows on each setlist, (and from one tour to another, the setlist changes a lot, even though there are several unremovable classics), it makes sense for them and it totally works, and even though there are tons of other songs I would be amazed to see live, I wouldn't say a GD show is better just thanks to rare songs they played or could have played. The greatness of their shows mostly relies on the passion, badassness and joy they put in it, and that certainly hadn't decreased as the RevRad tour went on. When I see live footage of the same song played during RevRad with the same quality of footage I won't find all performances equal, I will have my favorites, through all the tour. And I love especially when they played Armatage Shanks, Going To Pasalacqua and Too Dumb To Die, for both of the 2 first ones it made me love the related album more than I would have otherwise, because those performances were so badass, but that goes to me as for any other song, rare or steady, they played. That means I'm glad to have heard every of their hits, 3 times in the tour because I appreciated them better that way. That's just me but there are many songs I absolutely love as I only got to listen to them album version, while for the majority of songs GD have played live during RevRad, I wouldn't love them half as much if I hadn't seen them live. That goes for Dookie and AI hits and also my 2 favorite songs Still Breathing and Forever Now. So I support their choice of constant setlist, and I know the next GD tour setlist will be featuring several new songs, little changing and I'm glad with it. I know they will blow me up, that's the only certitude I need!1 point
-
My number one choice of song to cut . It will be interesting to see what they do on the next tour, they'll have SO many songs by that point it won't be an easy task. Hopefully they won't just remove the Rev Rad songs and replace them with the new album ones. I keep thinking they're surely going to have to cull some AI ones sooner or later...hasn't happened yet though1 point

They're too chicken to even play slightly obscure GD songs at big shows and are willing to leave out whole GD albums before they'll play anything less than half of American Idiot and Dookie every night so I can't see The Longshot getting a look in . Maybe if it was a small/secret GD show. Solution: play more Longshot shows1 point
-
I don't see them doing any Longshot songs. They're already going to have to cut several Green Day songs to make room for songs from the new album, so I don't see them doing any side project songs.1 point

Long vs short hair I don't care My dad said he liked better short hair. First time I hear someone (outside here) whom I asked say that. For other people I asked that it's long hair or even. He has beautiful hair but with the short hair he looks different and special, in a way I love. So for me it's even as well1 point

Oh yeah, definitely photo retouching! But like you said, even without photo retouch, it's an incredible eye color. Such a perfect green. HOLY FUCK HOW IS HE SO BEAUTIFUL?! I guess in the big scheme of things it's underrated but honestly pretty much every time it's mentioned on GDC it's because someone's saying it's great and underrated . For a b sides compilation I think it's quite well appreciated.1 point

This is quite a long one: I don’t remember the beginning of the dream very well. I think I was with a bunch of people, including my parents, but Billie was visiting. I had his number so I texted him and he said he was out or something and would be back later. He came to where everyone was later and I went and talked to him. He looked kind of like he does from Longshot shows with no makeup/eyeliner or anything, and was dressed similarly to how he is in a lot of the pictures and videos from Viggiano - black jacket, black pants, plain black shirt, necklaces. We decided to go somewhere and then were on our way to leave and ran into my parents. I told them we were going somewhere and wanted it to be just us. We wanted to get away from everyone else. They just said something like “Oh, okay” and left us alone. Once it was just me and Billie, I showed him a map and said we should go to the beach that was on it. He was like “Sure” and then I said we should also go on a walk at this one trail since it was close to the beach. He asked where that was and I pointed to the map, tracing a line from the beach to the trail. “See? It’s over here. Not that far away. You see that red forest? It’s on the other side if we just go through there.” Billie asked “What’s this trail like?” and I said something like “Oh, it’s really beautiful! It intersects with the Pacific Crest Trail, so it goes all the way to Canada. Obviously we wouldn’t go that far, and I’ve never even been that far, but it’s pretty cool.” Once he agreed, we got in the car. It was from my regular driveway and was my regular car - a while Ford Focus with a stick shift. I drove and we got near where the beach was, but it was more urban and in the city. For some reason, there was a sense of foreboding. Like we knew something bad would happen if we went down to the beach. Billie agreed to do it anyway. The reason we were going to this beach was because there were supposed to be a bunch of sea lions hanging out near the water’s edge that I thought would be cool to see. We walked down to the beach and onto the sand. The sun was setting, so the light was a pretty pinkish orange and there were other people there too. Sea lions were wandering around at the shoreline and we walked over some driftwood logs to get closer. There was a sea lion cow (female) near a log we came down off of and she raised her head and looked at us. She kind of caterpillared toward us and we stepped away because sea lions can be dangerous. I think we moved off and just watched for awhile and I remember it being beautiful. The gorgeous sunset colors reflected off the water and everything was illuminated by that soft evening light. I remember Billie looked really good too, of course. After awhile, we decided to head to the trail. The dream cut to us walking through a path in a forest. I assume it was dusk since it had just been sunset at the beach, but there was still plenty of light to see by. We passed by a large tree and I saw movement in it. There was a hairy woodpecker (yes, that's a real bird) and a different bird I hadn’t seen before. I got really excited and pointed them out to Billie. “Whoa! Look!” As we walked by a downed tree trunk with a hollowed out end, I spotted an owl’s face peeking out of it. I shouted “Oh my god! Look!” “What?” “An owl!” “Where?” “It’s right in front of you! Just look straight ahead!” Billie was still looking just to the left of where the owl obviously was, so just as it was crawling out of the hole, I literally grabbed both sides of his head and turned it toward the owl. Just then, it flew past very close and Billie was like “Oh! Holy shit!” I was super excited. “Wow! That was a great grey owl! That’s the first time I’ve ever seen one in the wild! That was so cool! It’s the biggest owl in the world! It stands about two feet tall.” Then my god damned alarm woke me up and jerked me out of the dream. I was so pissed! I forgot to turn the stupid thing off from the day before. Anyway... I'm glad I got to dream about Billie again.1 point

Had a dream that I borrowed Billie's car (and when I say car, I mean the one tattooed on his chest). It turned out to be a self driving car, and I kept getting into an argument with it on how to get to my destination. Woke up before I found out if I arrived there.1 point

I was watching the Reading performance of Brutal Love today, and I noticed that when Billie sings the word "danger" at 1:57, he points to the side of the stage. So now I'm thinking that Jakob was probably there and Billie was pointing to his boy (which is a fitting thought considering it's Father's Day), and I'm getting all choked up because that's too fucking cute. What an adorable proud father he is. Man, I wish they'd bring back Brutal Love live. It's probably my favourite live GD song (alongside Forever Now). I'm hoping that, since Billie has been playing trilogy songs on the Longshot tour, he might put a couple on the setlist next GD tour - but even if he did, I doubt he'd choose Brutal Love. Also, watching that video is making me realise how much I'm missing Mike (and Tre of course, but especially Mike). If I was actually capable of taking my eyes off Billie, I'd definitely pay a lot more attention to Mike. He's just so fascinating to watch during shows.1 point
