I don’t like sharing photos of myself (so I'll probably delete this soon) but this is the best evidence I have regarding his height. We were on even ground and standing straight. I’m 5 feet 2.75 inches to be exact. If you look at where my eyes are compared to his, I don’t buy that that is 4.25 inches difference. Do you guys? Which is why I think he’s 5’6”. Holy fuck! That was like the greatest night of my life!! I was able to get pretty close and I got tons of pictures and video! It was so amazing to be in his presence in such a small, intimate venue! God, I love him! There was one point in the show where he opened a bottle of water and chugged like a quarter of it, but then handed the bottle to the crowd. So... technically, I got to drink out of the same water bottle as Billie! He like shoved the whole water bottle top in his mouth too, so even though it was passed around quite a bit, he definitely made his mark on it. Here are a few pics from the show on my Instagram. ^^ why, when I put my hands in my hair like he does, it just loses volume, while in his case it regains its fluffiness. Oh well. Billie's a little bit feminine so it's fitting that his name is too, haha.

Don't forget the shoes variable. If he wears creepers it could add like 2 inches . Because he does wear thick soled shoes more often than not (not to mention the fluffed up hair) I tend to agree that 5'6 is more likely.

Whenever i pick up my guitar my guitar and play (just like yesterday!) , I always play "Good Riddance" as an encore. It just feels like the right thing to do. And it sounds fantastic! that's not me bragging, it's just so simple to play. It takes four chords (Green Day are wrongfully known as '3 chord wonders' - they are FOUR CHORD WONDERS) but they are the 4 easiest chords to make. I just played in twice.

The Dementor's Kiss. Is Billie secretly a dementor? Oh my god oh my god oh my god! I totally got a ticket to the Seattle show tonight! I'm so fucking excited! I did not sleep well at all because tickets were all sold out and I was just a huge ball of anxiety about how to get one. squashie09 posted a link to the ticket sales and suggested I check again for tickets (after giving me other advice for if there weren't) because there might be more and there were, so they have my deepest gratitude! I am kind of anxious about the show, though. I have only ever been in a mosh pit one time before and it was not very crowded. I'd really like to get as close as I can, but don't really know how to do that. Doors open at 7, so what time should I get there to get close? Any tips? I'm so inexperienced with this. I will totally take pics of Billie if I can and post them here! I can't wait to see him again! I've missed him so much! I love our beautiful boy!

Considering both his bandmates changed their names and he's the only one who didn't, I agree.

In reference to the "country bitch" thing, part of me wishes he'd stop complaining about his name because it's an absolutely beautiful name, the most beautiful name I've ever heard in fact, and I think it really suits him, even if it is country. However, part of me doesn't want him to stop complaining about it because it's so adorable when he grumbles about it. And his laughter in that video is pure gold - I'm smiling like an idiot watching it. I love seeing my boy happy.

But is the Longshot really so much different than Green Day in terms of their musical style? It's style punkrock/pop-punk, isn't it? I like the Longshot, but I don't think that their album is more innovative than Revolution Radio, for example. And to be honest, I care for Green Day as a band. I know that Billie Joe is the creative force behind their music, but I also like Mike's bass lines and Tré's energetic drumming. They' re not just Billie Joe plus x.

At the Coney island baby longshot show a few weeks ago. I met him standing next to me backstage it was special. We made eye contact and I tapped him on the shoulder and told him I was happy to be there. I got pulled away by a guy looking after the band not to interact with him anymore before the show. It was a small venue. He's just as pretty in person and that cool your also from Binghamton

I agree, he has a beautiful name. Plus, it's original to have to have those 2 names match together. I think he loves having an unusual name really, he never stops talking about it . He easily could've chosen to just go by "Bill" or even "Billy" if he wanted, he loves it.

I wish I knew the full context of this banter before he played Body Bag on the 2nd slide. His laugh is so damn contagious (the rest is good as well).

I love this person's Instagram post so much. Like, you look at the first slide and he's looking all cute and shit, and then you go to the second slide and... If I was ever lucky enough to get a photo with him, I can't decide whether I'd prefer a nice photo or a goofy photo. I mean, he always looks stunning in the nice photos, but the goofy photos kinda let me know that he himself is enjoying taking photos rather than the possibility that he could just be doing it because people are there. That girl is so lucky for getting both though.

I was lucky enough to get a pic with Billie in DC and I'm only 5'3" on a good day and he's no more than 3" taller than me in the pic so I'm pretty convinced he's 5'6". We were on an even surface and I don't think he leaned down at all. I'm not sure your source on Matt Bellamy but the internet lies, lol.

It's a part of their contract that Billie has to stay floofy and the label with kick them the moment they notice when he starts balding.

If you're not afraid to see with precision a chewing-gum in Billie's mouth, here's the perfect badass-Billie-chewing-gum video. Not even talking about the end how sassy Billie gets rid of his chewing-gum. I wanted to post this in the fangirls thread first, because of the great quality of the video, and as to illustrate my favorite hair of Billie's, and also because I was delighted to see that chewing-gum so well... but I'm not sure that would be the general reaction! You may remember that I have recently made a post pointing out the earth is flat in Green Day lyrics. What's interesting and usual about Billie's imagery of flat earth is the fact that it's possible to walk to its edge, which logically rises the question what is behind the edge amd if the narrator is there to jump over. In FN there's a line about looking over the edge and the same image is repeated in SB with "as I walked to the ledge/are you scared to death to live/I've been running all my life/just to fine the home that's for the reckless". In this essay I will explore how Green Day's flat earth is actually a poetic expression of Kierkegaardian leap of faith.

I think Back in the USA is my favorite song released since American Idiot. I don't know exactly why but I love it.

The Dearly Beloved part of JOS blows me away every time I hear it. I mean, the entire song is pretty on point, but I love that section of it so fucking much. The lyrics and Billie's voice and the way he sings it. Just wow.

I know it's wishful thinking but what with Billie putting so much into the Longshot right now I'd really love it if Mike got the Frustrators back together.

Minority is GD imo

It was one of the first songs that hooked me in too. The lyrics are genius.

It's been almost two years since I heard Minority for the first time (it's actually one of the songs that got me into GD) and it's still as perfect as ever. I don't think I'll ever get bored of it.

The ads on my instagram keep advertising an app called 'Twisty Road', and every single time I see it, I can't help but immediately burst into song and sing "take me to the tracks at twisTY ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD." I am not okay.

Just occurred to me that Billie has played I Fought the Law with Green Day, FBHT, The Coverups, and The Longshot. I can't think of any other song that he's played with that many of his bands.

Have you guys ever noticed that the Earth is flat in Green Day lyrics? Lines "standing on the edge of the world" or "I walked to the end of the world" suggest that in the universe of GD lyrics, the Earth is flat.

Am I the only one who cannot make his brain process the fact that Dookie-era Billie and AI-era Billie are the same person? The difference is just astonishing.

I like the Dookie era Green Day more. They were full of angst, obnoxious, crude and it looked so awesome.

Earlier this week I was thinking about how Billie's process in naming his guitars. It's just so weird how some are so simple and others are like "wtf?". Like Blue compared to Canelo. It's kinda cool to think that they all have some cool meaning to Billie and to everyone else it's left a mystery
