I don’t like sharing photos of myself (so I'll probably delete this soon) but this is the best evidence I have regarding his height. We were on even ground and standing straight. I’m 5 feet 2.75 inches to be exact. If you look at where my eyes are compared to his, I don’t buy that that is 4.25 inches difference. Do you guys? Which is why I think he’s 5’6”. EDIT: [deleted because I prefer not to connect my accounts]4 points

Holy fuck! That was like the greatest night of my life!! I was able to get pretty close and I got tons of pictures and video! It was so amazing to be in his presence in such a small, intimate venue! God, I love him! There was one point in the show where he opened a bottle of water and chugged like a quarter of it, but then handed the bottle to the crowd. So... technically, I got to drink out of the same water bottle as Billie! He like shoved the whole water bottle top in his mouth too, so even though it was passed around quite a bit, he definitely made his mark on it. Here are a few pics from the show on my Instagram. I will be uploading all of them onto my Flickr soon too and the videos to YouTube. That might be a little longer, though. UPDATE: I've uploaded all my photos on Flickr now. https://www.flickr.com/photos/lexiswildlifephotography/albums/72157697495464054 Thank you all for your wishes and support! It meant a lot and I got to experience something truly amazing! Love you all! Be sure to look at the last picture! I love that one because his smile is so sweet and genuine.2 points

^^ why, when I put my hands in my hair like he does, it just loses volume, while in his case it regains its fluffiness. Oh well. I was about to ask you guys if you too think my new profile pic is a bit creepy... guess I got the answer. (I intend to keep it for a few days though to see if it ends up feeling more normal) So happy for you @Green Day In Seattle ! I wish you the best night witnessing this beauty ! Billie's a little bit feminine so it's fitting that his name is too, haha.2 points

Don't forget the shoes variable. If he wears creepers it could add like 2 inches . Because he does wear thick soled shoes more often than not (not to mention the fluffed up hair) I tend to agree that 5'6 is more likely.2 points

Whenever i pick up my guitar my guitar and play (just like yesterday!) , I always play "Good Riddance" as an encore. It just feels like the right thing to do. And it sounds fantastic! that's not me bragging, it's just so simple to play. It takes four chords (Green Day are wrongfully known as '3 chord wonders' - they are FOUR CHORD WONDERS) but they are the 4 easiest chords to make. I just played in twice.2 points

The Dementor's Kiss. Is Billie secretly a dementor? Oh my god oh my god oh my god! I totally got a ticket to the Seattle show tonight! I'm so fucking excited! I did not sleep well at all because tickets were all sold out and I was just a huge ball of anxiety about how to get one. squashie09 posted a link to the ticket sales and suggested I check again for tickets (after giving me other advice for if there weren't) because there might be more and there were, so they have my deepest gratitude! I am kind of anxious about the show, though. I have only ever been in a mosh pit one time before and it was not very crowded. I'd really like to get as close as I can, but don't really know how to do that. Doors open at 7, so what time should I get there to get close? Any tips? I'm so inexperienced with this. I will totally take pics of Billie if I can and post them here! I can't wait to see him again! I've missed him so much! I love our beautiful boy!2 points

I still think he was sucking out Kevin's soul or something2 points

Considering both his bandmates changed their names and he's the only one who didn't, I agree.2 points

In reference to the "country bitch" thing, part of me wishes he'd stop complaining about his name because it's an absolutely beautiful name, the most beautiful name I've ever heard in fact, and I think it really suits him, even if it is country. However, part of me doesn't want him to stop complaining about it because it's so adorable when he grumbles about it. And his laughter in that video is pure gold - I'm smiling like an idiot watching it. I love seeing my boy happy.2 points

But is the Longshot really so much different than Green Day in terms of their musical style? It's style punkrock/pop-punk, isn't it? I like the Longshot, but I don't think that their album is more innovative than Revolution Radio, for example. And to be honest, I care for Green Day as a band. I know that Billie Joe is the creative force behind their music, but I also like Mike's bass lines and Tré's energetic drumming. They' re not just Billie Joe plus x.2 points

I love the Longshot, the music, the band, the energy, the guitar porn, everything, Love is For losers and the demos are all Billie written and as great as a GD album to me. But when I go see the Longshot, I really go to see Billie; while when I go see Green Day, I go to see Green Day. It's not the same. And as much as I love the sweethearts that seem to be Kev and Dave (in the beginning I didn't love them like that), I keep thinking of our GD trio most of the time these days. To put it in another thought: if the Longshot never plays again after this tour, I will be sad but no doubt I'll survive as long as Billie's all right. If Green Day never plays again from now on, I'll fall in instant depression, at least be totally heartbroken. Even if Billie continues to do other stuff outside of GD.1 point

@gaslight13 yep that seems right - I didn't get a photo because I was too busy SHARTING myself. Tre is even shorter. A very random thought - I wonder when they will tour Japan.1 point

^^^You can't really judge it by where his eyes are compared to yours though because it's unlikely that you'd have the same proportions as him so that judgement would be inaccurate.1 point

The Longshot also isn't anything new. It's music steeped in that vintage, garage rock sound that we've heard before. This doesn't mean it's bad, but it is very familiar.1 point

Am I the only one who thinks photo 5 in goofygoldfish's post is a little creepy? He looks kinda ill or as if he's underwater or something. It's weird. The rest of the pics though... wow. His hand/fist in the first one which may or may not be giving me dirty thoughts. His pout in the fourth one - I've said it before but he is just so darn kissable. His beautiful little smile in the last one. And of course the gorgeous chins and perfect belly.1 point

The Tony Awards are airing now and it’s put me in the mood to watch Broadway Idiot.1 point

I just watched the episode of King of the Hill with Green Day in it and I don't think Billie had any speaking parts. I'm glad that they made Tre the lead character, his voice is pretty cartoony lol, but it's weird that Billie had no lines at all. So that got me wondering, for the music in the episode, did Billie drum and did Tre play guitar since he was the singer? hmm, the credits say "original songs by Green Day", so who knows? the credits also say "Billy Joe Armstrong"1 point

He’s barely 5’7”. I’m 5’4 and 3/4” and he had no more than two inches on me so I’d say he just scrapes by at 5’7” or just under. Plus his shoulders and frame are really narrow so he seems even smaller.1 point

Was in the mood for a side project so I watched The Network - Disease is Punishment. What an underrated piece of performance art. It was ahead of its time now that the eighties are back in fashion. I hope it gets its due someday. It’s genius.1 point

Yesss, hopefully there'll be more soon And omg, I'm so happy to hear someone else feels like this about Too Dumb to Die! For some reason it became one of my favourites and I would love to hear it one day. (Say Goodbye just boggles my mind because I can see it work so well live and I'm really surprised they didn't play it at all)1 point

Was just watching footage of Makeout Party live and now I want them to put it on the setlist next tour. Or better yet, do a FBHT tour with it on the setlist.1 point

I was watching a Green Day show from 1995 on youtube earlier and I realized that Blue probably isn't on the Longshot tour with Billie right now and that bummed me out, I love that guitar!1 point

I totally agree Billie would be great in the role of St Jimmy in a film.....but even if he wouldn't let's be real I'd still want him to play it because seeing Billie acting good or bad is glorious . I'd be 100x more interested in seeing an AI film if he was in it.1 point

I was watching Green Day perform East Jesus Nowhere on Letterman during lunch and it made me smile so much. I have so many great memories associated with the 21CB era. I still remember skipping class the day it came out and heading to Hot Topic to pick up the CD and the shirt. And when I got back to my dorm, I put it on and I had this sense of pride. I was so proud of the boys for making another excellent record. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I loved it and I still like the album a lot. Plus, I love the way Billie points when he says "your confession will be crucified."1 point

The Grouch is an absolute masterpiece. I'm not the kind of person who ever relates to song lyrics, but damn, some of the lines in that song describe me in a nutshell. And I love how it's written from the point of view of an adult/older person, but you still don't have to be an adult to relate to it. Also, I wish Billie would try and remember/re-learn the damn lyrics so we can hear it live again.1 point

I think about this a lot. I'm forever grateful I chose this band as my favourite We're truly spoilt.1 point

So we're almost 4 months into the year, and I'm only now realising that the official Green Day calendar has all of the holidays/band members birthdays etc. written at the bottom of each month. I feel like such an idiot. I suppose that's what I get for buying a calendar specifically to look at the pictures instead of using it for what it was actually made for.1 point

I was picking up pizza maybe a week or two ago and this really punk looking dude (probably in his 30s) that worked there complemented my Green Day necklace and we just started talking about Green Day. It was awesome. I love Green Day.1 point
