This place has been way too quiet. I can't wait for new pics tomorrow night. In the meantime, I've always loved this pic, hobo look and all. Pen in the right hand, c chord in the left.4 points

^^^^I agree, about their friendship. I think the friendship between the band members is what got me really into (or, well, obsessed with...) GD to begin with! There's something so hopeful and wholesome about childhood pals who defy the odds and make it big. It makes their story so lovable!!! Hi, everyone, by the way! I'm a long time lurker, but am trying to put myself out there more in GDC land.3 points

Just to annoy me my mum once suggested that the chorus means "If I promise to go to church (with you) on Sunday, will you go (to church) with me on Friday night?" as if they both really want to go to church and are just deciding which days to go . This is the only thing that now bothers me about it.3 points

You may remember that I have recently made a post pointing out the earth is flat in Green Day lyrics. What's interesting and usual about Billie's imagery of flat earth is the fact that it's possible to walk to its edge, which logically rises the question what is behind the edge amd if the narrator is there to jump over. In FN there's a line about looking over the edge and the same image is repeated in SB with "as I walked to the ledge/are you scared to death to live/I've been running all my life/just to fine the home that's for the reckless". In this essay I will explore how Green Day's flat earth is actually a poetic expression of Kierkegaardian leap of faith.3 points

^^^His sweet little face just looks so delicate in that bottom one. With his beautiful smooth skin and lovely eyelids and cute little eyelashes and adorable nose. And of course that little pout on his lips. Aww. Also, I'm in the mood for some Bike rn. Their friendship is just the sweetest thing. I love that Billie is such an affectionate little sweeheart, especially with his friends.2 points

To church on a Friday night? That sounds more like she's a Christian but he wants to go to a synagogue and they decide to practice both faiths2 points

When you pick your drink up off the table and see that it's left rings on the table, and the first thing you think of is the OW movie.1 point

Yet another reason to respect and admire Billie. He understands that voting is one of the best ways to make change and be heard. That what's happening right now is completely disgusting and wrong. There needs to be change!1 point

Tre posted an instastory from New York so looks like heβs there too. Thatβs interesting. Hopefully heβll turn up at a Longshot show.1 point

Last night I had a dream that the Longshot were playing a gig in my city, and my school decided to take us on a school trip to see the gig. So we arrived at the venue really really early and the teachers told us to line up outside, but at the back of the venue. We saw Billie walking from his tour bus into the building, but he was wearing those red PJs that he had on in his instagram post on Christmas day 2016. Then, the teachers told us that they didn't actually have the tickets and we had to get them ourselves, so the entire class had to trek all the way to the other side of town and go into this building where there were only two machines that printed the tickets and neither of them were working, so I thought I was never gonna get to the damn gig. Also, everyone knew that I was the biggest (and only) Billie fan in the school, so my friends were trying to get our tickets first so that I could be right in front of Billie during the gig, but everyone else wanted to get their tickets first purely bc they were assholes and they wanted to ruin my chance at doing the thing I wanted most in life. So it was like a race to see who could get the tickets and get back to the venue first. Eventually, I won said race, and Billie walked out onto the stage and he was standing right in front of me, and I was happier than I'd ever been in my life. But then I woke up before the gig even started.1 point

^^^Ngl, that is one of my most watched GD clips ever. Is there really anything better than chubby Billie rubbing his ass and wiggling his hips? I think not. Also, the little flashes of that sweet little poofy bellie.οΏΌ And I love the little glimpse of his right armpit at the start. He has the most beautiful little armpits.1 point

I like how it goes from a nice view of his gorgeous shapely ass when he's bending over, to a lovely glimpse of that beautiful poofy bellie when he straightens up.1 point
