Billie playing Youngblood : I also love that song. With Troubled Times I think it's the only one on RevRad I loved at first listen (which for me isn't very often the case).

It's been almost a year now since Green Day were on Good morning America... I binge watched that performance. Especially the performance of Still Breathing with Billie playing it with Blue. It makes me feel how much I miss the RevRad era. After watching footage of GMA in May last year I was so excited... I still had 2 upcoming GD shows to go see... but the good thing is, I didn't think, by the end of RevRad tour, I would have a Longshot show to go see so soon. I just learned my dad can't go with my friend and I in the US, he couldn't get a visa because he's born in Lebanon with a Syrian family... What a joke . He was ready to accompany us and meet the gnome. (That's the nickname he gave Billie. ) So I'll be going with my friend and we just asked to the place of the gig if we could get an extra ticket for her, since we've only known a few days ago that she would be able to go. I hope they accept to sell us a ticket... don't want to see the show without her. Here are some pictures of GMA in Central Park almost a year ago (19 May), enjoy:

I finally found the pic of Billie running on a race track that we talked about last year when we were debating whether he's a tight- or loose-fitting running shorts type of guy. That's definitely not running (note the caption as well) but sure adorable as hell Aaand he's a loose-fitting shorts kind of guy which is the piece of information I've been waiting for my whole life

I agree. Especially this early in their career. I'm not a huge fan of their pre-Dookie stuff but Dookie is just an amazing album, a MASSIVE leap in quality from 1,039 and Kerplunk in pretty much every way.

I cant imagine him being anything else, we've seen what he wears to the beach after all, can't see him suddenly appearing in really short shorts - not that I would complain. I am sure someone out there could photoshop Billie in Speedos for us

It was one of my favorites to witness live. So much energy in that song at my show. The crowd was jumping.

I don't know that much about 80, but she does seem like such a lovely person (as does everyone else that Billie has surrounded himself with - he's good at picking friends). With that said, I guess 80 is kinda important to me because she makes my favourite human happy and she loves him the way he deserves to be loved. Not to mention all of the wonderful songs that were inspired by her. Why is this so fascinating? I can just imagine his little legs speed walking around the racetrack. It's a shame he's not a tight-fitting shorts kinda guy though - he could've shown off those legs (and other assets) much better. Sorry mods, I'm on mobile so I can't remove the pic from the quote.

*raises hand* yes, I adore her . Billie's instagram post of her for mothers day was so sweet and I agree she is gorgeous. Looked like she didn't have any make up on in a lot of those pics too and she still looks amazing (and it's especially sweet that Billie clearly thinks so too). I hope I'm that lucky at her age. She just seems like such an awesome person.

Having a Blast is sheer perfection. One of my faves from Dookie, for sure. On the subject of Dookie, it's not my favourite album, and I don't usually pay much attention to lyrics, but some of the lyrics on Dookie actually give me goosebumps. They're scarily relatable and specific, as if Billie has literally just taken a look inside my head and written exactly what he's seen. Especially Burnout and the aforementioned Having a Blast. I've never come across a writer/lyricist who is able to express their genuine feelings through a song or a piece of writing the way Billie does, and still make the entire thing so engaging. And that means a lot to me considering how I rarely ever connect to other people's work, if at all. Good ol' Billie, amirite?

Ah yes, the GMA performance. One of my fave RevRad era moments for sure. It happened on my birthday and I remember coming home from school and watching the footage and seeing my wonderful boy with his gorgeous fluffy hair and beautiful smiles, wearing that glorious red shirt that looks so stunning on him - best birthday ever. And that performance of Youngblood is still one of my most favourite things ever. Oh, and then of course this happened: I love my favourite little dorks.

I wouldn't say it's quite the same level but I do agree Kerplunk and Dookie are similar. Probably more similar than any other two GD albums (not counting the trilogy separately), Welcome to Paradise fits equally well on both for one example. Kerplunk kind of seems like the practice for Dookie . I guess that makes sense if the major label liked Kerplunk and signed them and gave them access to a great studio and then it was time to make another album following on from that.

I think it's clear Billie likes it a lot, so it's possible.

I absolutely love Youngblood and it breaks my heart that I'll probably never see it live.

@Eric If you post here you can expect people to reply to you to comment on/agree with/disagree with what you post. If you're going to be personally offended because someone posts their own opinion in response to yours then don't post it. I don't want to keep seeing you making things personal for no reason. Not everyone likes the same things as you and not everyone dislikes the same things as you, I don't know how that's such a hard concept to grasp.
