I know a lot of people don't like the 1000 hours EP (even Billie said it was too sappy), but I'll always have a soft spot for those early love songs. There's something so endearing about a teenage Billie being totally infatuated with somebody.

If he had a side project he wouldn’t have time to empty his closet 😂 At least he’s using the spare time wisely.

Must be from when Aaron Cometbus apparently gave Mike a makeover (cut off his hair and sleeves) that instantly made him attractive to girls and is a look he's kept until this day

Mike pls I suggest donating it to the rhof museum or preferably hard rock café so people can enjoy the pleasure of watching it while they eat

And the list of fantastic stage to screen adaptions is endless as well. Saying dont do it because it may fail is a pretty defeatist attitude. Especially when the starting material is fantastic

But why? The play is amazing, I've seen it twice and it is the most energetic, fun show I have ever seen. Why would you think the movie would be bad?

The Dearly Beloved part of JOS blows me away every time I hear it. I mean, the entire song is pretty on point, but I love that section of it so fucking much. The lyrics and Billie's voice and the way he sings it. Just wow.

And I think they know that which is why the role would be his if he wanted it.

I totally agree Billie would be great in the role of St Jimmy in a film.....but even if he wouldn't let's be real I'd still want him to play it because seeing Billie acting good or bad is glorious . I'd be 100x more interested in seeing an AI film if he was in it.

Yeah, there's quite a few videos from SA last tour, I have watched them a very sad number of times. I think it feels weird because it looks like Billie feels somebody watching him and turn round, so they film the back of someone else's head lol! Oh and Mike really needs to get a side project going....

Think he’s managed to keep everyone happy though the crowd obviously loved what they got. 😂 it must be quite an interesting relationship at times that Billie has with his in-laws. I didn’t know 80’s dad was a pastor but I knew her mum does something along those lines and publishes theological papers (if that’s the correct term).

At school I had to write as many onomatopoeia words as I could, and when I was done the teacher told me that 'dirnt' is not a real word

When even the most common words/phrases make you think of Green Day. My co-worker said bus route, my mind goes to Nightlife. My boss said whatshername, my mind goes to, well, Whatshername. I read the word kitty, my mind goes to Diesel, Peaches, and Gary. I hear the word hyena on tv, and I burst out laughing because it makes me think of Billie's weird pronunciation of it. I think my brain is hardwired to connect everything to Green Day now.

Not necessarily. He may not have felt that it was such a big deal that he needed to change his own behaviour/change the way he does the show, but may have still wanted to cut it short for some of the reasons I mentioned above or whatever. And I do think he was making a joke of it, but the joke was clearly based on something.

The sass in Mike's post tho. I love how Billie reposted a fan's edit for Mike's birthday. Also, it was nice that they livestreamed so much of the show on both the Longshot account and his billiejoearmstrong.

Insomniac, Dookie and Kerplunk are what I consider "pure Green Day". They just define the band perfectly.
