There's something undeniably hot about this pic And I especially like his neck8 points

^^^Kinda in line with this, but I love that they genuinely admire eachother as musicians. Like, it's not just because they're friends or in a band together or whatever - they have this genuine admiration for eachother's musical abilities, and they're always singing eachother praises about it. A few days ago, I saw this quote from Tre and it absolutely warmed my heart: I am so fucking proud of all three of those guys. I couldn't have chosen a better band as THE band. They're the fucking best.6 points

Road to Acceptance came up on shuffle for me this morning and I was reminded just how much I appreciate the song - it's so well written and tackles the topic of adolescence, dealing with peer pressure/feeling like an outcast, accepting differences, moral dilemmas etc. so skillfully. The lyrics are to the point and (unfortunately) stay relevant/are very relatable. It's been in my head the whole day. "I take a look around, and all the things I've found, I call it blind hatred.."4 points

Just been watching this show on Youtube: Man, that setlist tho. If I could go back in time, this would be one of the first gigs I'd go to. Kinda love that it was in England too.4 points

I can't remember what song I was listening to, but when it came up on my shuffle I couldn't help thinking "I fucking love Billie's voice." I also like that it's so distinct my mom can hear it and go, "Oh this must be Green day!"4 points

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate The Longshot EP. There are some really great songs on there. And just seeing them play the songs live at small clubs without anyone knowing the lyrics is really inspiring. I really liked the segment in Cuatro where they talked about having to prove themselves again with a bunch of new songs. In my opinion, The Longshot pulls off the garage-y sound sound better than Green Day's previous attempts at "going back-to-basics" simply because they genuinely are a bunch of different musicians getting together for the first time. And the approach has been way more DIY. Let's face it, Green Day will NEVER be able to go back-to-basics in the truest sense. They're already a massive band. They'll always be playing huge arenas and doing promos on Good Morning America. It's not a bad thing. With that said, a side-project is the way to go! The way garage/punk musicians do it these days with social media and all the different media platforms has never been more fun!4 points

Billie should do a regular radio show as he has awesome taste and seems to know so many great bands!4 points

I am still crying with laughter as I write this! Earlier this afternoon I showed Dad a picture of Billie with his new earring & an article about Billie telling those who are asking if GD have split to STFU. I then went out for a meal with Mum and Dad. Just as we were about to ask for the bill, the restaurant started to play wake me up when September ends! Dad heard it before I did and he rather loudly said "oh guess who it is? It's the 46-year old punk with a new earring who told people who think his bands splitting up to shut the eff up!"4 points

I was just re-watching HLAHG, and I've always loved that little smile Billie gets right when Mike starts singing his part in Homecoming. He's so proud of him there.3 points

Tre is awesome though, if you ever get a chance to see the video (cant post it here) of Working Class Hero, Raw Clip #1 it largely focusses on Tre and it's just great to see him at work!2 points

That's why we totally need to do this - pay for accomodation by fangirling with the host Perfect business concept2 points

I will just leave this here... the name, the typo and so many other references... Someone (aka Billie) seems to be a fan of Marvel's Longshot.2 points

I found some content for those who miss The Bellie (even though we don't even know for sure that it's gone ): It's as close to "revealing" as it gets concerning 2017 bellie pics.2 points

All of the charitable work that Green Day has done really reveals an entire different side of the punk rockers out of Berkeley. It's nice to think about how Green Day contributes to the bigger picture. Just a thought1 point

According to this wiki page (under the "Charity events and songs" section), apparently so.1 point

That would be perfect! He could share all of his favourite music and his thoughts on it and bring guests on, no doubt that it'd be very entertaining1 point

Tre's drumming in FN is phenomenal - I was so engulfed by it last night BJ was background noise1 point

That angry Billie's face OMG, I'm already excited like a regiment of fans and acting like crazy everywhere. Yeah, GDC couchsurfing I saw a friend yesterday whom I told i was going to that gig, and by the way I must've said it she said " you're obviously Billie's bigger fan". And I was like "You have no idea how much other Billie-crazy fans there are on this forum I'm on. I'm just another of them". She looked at me dubious lol. That's also why it would be so awesome to get to stay by someone else on GDC when travelling, we could share that fandom in "real", which really misses me. I love my friends but I can't share that with any of them. They just don't understand... Whenever I speak of Billie in front of them, they dismiss my fangirling, and then I get just like the Billie I posted above...1 point

I shouldn't have been drinking my coffee when reading this I love that there are articles about what Billie said in his livestream, telling those who are asking if GD are splitting up to shut up!1 point

The band was told that they had to start playing it live because it was going to be their next single. They didn’t really want to because it was hard to play But the music video was filmed in April ‘94, so it was definitely the third single. When I Come Around came out in late ‘94, and She came out in early ‘95 I believe.1 point

I saw a tumblr post the other day that said the speech bubble says "I have great quality nipples" . So I for one am fine with it being there.1 point

I can't help unfortunately, but first of all I want to say I'm so excited for you And I hope you find someone to stay with in NY. We should do something like GDC couchsurfing. It would be the coolest thing any fandom has done, EVER and it would make the traveling easier and more affordable.1 point

Have a beautiful Nimrod-era belly featuring a sassy pose and Billie playing with his nipple. Wish it didn't have the darn speech bubble though...1 point

It was about this I can't remember now if he said much about it when posting it or if that was just in the replies. Anyone screencap his post before it was deleted? Edit: Found it:1 point

Just been watching this classic again on repeat for the past hour or two. That is seriously still one of the greatest Youtube videos ever. I will never get tired of watching him dance. The man has magic hips. Isn't he just the most wonderful dork in the world. And I love how the clips are taken throughout pretty much their entire career, from 1992 to trilogy era. Never change, Billie. Somebody should make an updated version to include RevRad era.1 point
