  1. Aww, Billie posting footage of his dad tho.

  2. I was just re-watching HLAHG, and I've always loved that little smile Billie gets right when Mike starts singing his part in Homecoming. He's so proud of him there.

  3. Have a beautiful Nimrod-era belly featuring a sassy pose and Billie playing with his nipple. Wish it didn't have the darn speech bubble though...

  4. I am still crying with laughter as I write this! Earlier this afternoon I showed Dad a picture of Billie with his new earring & an article about Billie telling those who are asking if GD have split to STFU. I then went out for a meal with Mum and Dad. Just as we were about to ask for the bill, the restaurant started to play wake me up when September ends! Dad heard it before I did and he rather loudly said "oh guess who it is? It's the 46-year old punk with a new earring who told people who think his bands splitting up to shut the eff up!"

  5. I can't help unfortunately, but first of all I want to say I'm so excited for you And I hope you find someone to stay with in NY. We should do something like GDC couchsurfing. It would be the coolest thing any fandom has done, EVER and it would make the traveling easier and more affordable.

  6. I think it's word play, "all across the alienation" as in all across the nation where people feel alienated.

  7. I don't think it was even necessarily a completed video. It was some footage that someone on GDC found somehow that didn't even have sound on it. Then some other random person put it on youtube with the song added and called it an "official video". I guess maybe they considered doing it and shot some stuff for it but ended up changing their mind.

  8. I’m glad he’s using the Longshot account for stuff like this. It’s a friendlier group with fewer trolls.

  9. Congratulation to everyone who got a ticket to any of the concerts. In my case, I'm going to go cry in a corner... or maybe at the venue in the hope that someone will let me in. I have no ticket. Meanwhile, I will watch Billie pictures on Instagram. This sweet face with so gorgeous eyes can sell me anything. I want the cushion!

  10. Just been watching this classic again on repeat for the past hour or two. That is seriously still one of the greatest Youtube videos ever. I will never get tired of watching him dance. The man has magic hips. Isn't he just the most wonderful dork in the world. And I love how the clips are taken throughout pretty much their entire career, from 1992 to trilogy era. Never change, Billie. Somebody should make an updated version to include RevRad era.

  11. not sure this counts as unpopular considering the love for devil's kind, but yeah, Devil's Kind should have been on Revolution Radio instead of Ordinary World. I like Ordinary World but Devil's Kind balls so hard

  13. No, but BJ didn't see it as a single at the time. He even though that it would be a deep cut of the record. "Too personal" I recall. Even so, the band didn't even bother to play it during the first half of 1994. Only when the video was released and it got heavy rotation on mtv, the band started to perform it.

  14. The band was told that they had to start playing it live because it was going to be their next single. They didn’t really want to because it was hard to play But the music video was filmed in April ‘94, so it was definitely the third single. When I Come Around came out in late ‘94, and She came out in early ‘95 I believe.

  15. I saw a tumblr post the other day that said the speech bubble says "I have great quality nipples" . So I for one am fine with it being there.

  16. Thank you! My boss told me I could stay in New York the following week. I was like, "oh I can only do the round trip in a couple of days, I'm only doing it to see the Longshot"... (we have tons of work in our lawyers' office... the secretary missing for a week is a lot) And my boss was like "poor Billie, he has fans with mental health issues." suggesting that I was crazy to do it only for that. But it's true that when I'll be there, I will want to see more. Central Park So maybe I'll stay a week. I haven't been to the US since 2001, when I was 5! But I have no idea how I will manage there, I get lost very easily... May I ask if one of you would be wiling, and able to host me? I love the second gif in your post I'm sorry Hopefully you could try to go at the venue and they let you in. And yeah watching pictures of Billie is the first thing I do to comfort me when I'm sad. Here's to everyone who couldn't buy a ticket:

  17. Agreed. But also agree it wouldn't have fit on Rev Rad anyway I'm on team not getting the hype for it . It's a good song but not a particular standout, prefer most of the songs on LIFL

  18. Seems their love for that song was born way too late, since it has played only on the full AI shows and then forgotten until 2009. But the undisputable setlist spot for that song only becomes a reality in 2010. Singles are often chosen by the label. Basket Case is the best of examples

  19. Billie Joe is very straigthfoward about his choices. Do you remember the trilogy? And the man is going on

  20. I hope he doesn't let possible backlash get in the way of his artistic choices.

  21. I found some content for those who miss The Bellie (even though we don't even know for sure that it's gone ): It's as close to "revealing" as it gets concerning 2017 bellie pics.

  22. I know and that’s why he didn’t do it but it’s still my preference because it would have added a little more humor that I think the album lacks.

  23. He must have been aware of what sort of comments he was gonna get, but totally get why he gets so pissed off. I don’t get why all the Trump supporters spew their propaganda on his posts . I mean who are they trying to convince. GTFO The morons who go ‘I was such a big fan now I’m really disappointed.’Are you serious? One woman posted this and when he commented back a really sassy comment, she was like ‘OMG thank you for commenting back, it’s my birthday, lots of hearts. !’ Then the comments about how he just wants more money and is greedy. Jesus. It was a thing started by Uk fans, he was just recognising it. So many deluded idiots. He shouldn’t have deleted it though. Shouldn’t feel the need to be censored on his own fucking page.

  26. and clearly it hit a sore spot for him, and now he's trying to hide it but he can't hide it and his true emotions are rising to the surface which are that green day is done and billie mike and tre all hate each other and never want to play together again and that is probably because rev rad didn't sell as well as american idiot and also because the trilogy was a failure and also because he uses vocal filters now and also because he doesn't wear eyeliner anymore and also because mike grew a beard and also because billie hates his fans who support trump, this all confirms it, green day are done and they hate each other. shut this site down, its over folks, goodbye

  27. The entire video is hilarious Billie being angry on the internet is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. But at the same time I wish he wouldn't get so worked up about bs on social media. I know it's probably The Mood TM but still, IG comments aren't worth getting angry over (or reading in the first place)

  28. Basket Case? Not sure if all of the band was, but I know that Billie said he hadn't even considered it specifically a single or even potentially popular, but that they were told by managers that is was hugely popular among their audiences at live-shows. I don't think they were necessarily reluctant to make it a single, rather at first they didn't even consider it single material, until they realized how popular it was. I could be wrong though...

  29. Thanks, then again I love "the subliminal mind fuck America". It may be interpreted as "the subliminal mind (and) fuck America" or "the subliminal mindfuck - America"

  30. OW is still my favorite song of the 3, followed by Body Bag, and then Devil's Kind. I enjoy that song a lot but I was one of the few not desperately waiting for The Longshot to get it out at last but it's great that they did
    1 point
  31. Yes it would have and maybe it would be a nice fun ending to the serious album. I think he was going for a Hollywood happy ending with OW

  32. Tre in a mermaid onesie gives me life.

  33. While I do massively prefer Devil's Kind over both OW and Body Bag, I still wouldn't have wanted it on RevRad. I just feel like OW fits on the album better than the other two, even if it is probably the weakest song of the three imo.

  34. I feel like Body Bag is sarcastic and that's not what he was going for at the end of revrad

  42. Or how he may have said Green Day is okay but the way he said it implies they're not because clearly he's upset about something and don't you think he looks high and blah blah blah..... He may get over excited about social media BS but I've figured out by now that his reaction is just classic Billie and this is who he is. To quote him, "I'm on the spectrum and the borderline, I've got the shakes but I'm all right"

  43. hahaha billie is hilarious. but watch now here come the butt hurt people who are gonna complain about him being mean to them, and how they were entitled to being worried about green day. good lord

  44. Congratulations to those who got tickets! Hopefully the Longshot will come to Europe!

  45. Congrats to those of you that got tickets! I can't get over how beautiful our gorgeous boy is atm. He looked delightful at last night's show. I love this pic of him: His skin and cheeks and lips. And I am still so happy he brought the earring back. Fuck, he is exquisite. I love him so much.

  46. I don't think he's even having a go at the people who've been at the front a lot. He's just encouraging others to get up front and for them to help them and general goodwill and unselfishness in the crowd, seems like a positive "the more the merrier" message rather than having a problem with anyone. I don't mind tall men who happen to be in front of me. I do mind tall men who (being big and strong) push in front of me even though they can already see over everyone fine, which is a common experience. Everyone who pushes in front aggressively is shitty but it's just even shittier when they also totally block your view lol. Just writing this makes me realise tall men who wait for the show to start and then use their size and strength to push in front of all the people who got there first and found spots where they could see are the number one worst people at GD shows . Even worse than people who block my view with a phone. This is probably why tall people get a bad rap even though it isn't all of them

  47. What he said was totally reasonable. To be honest in those tiny venues I'd feel awkward being up front more than a couple of times. The reception is everything that's wrong with this fandom though. Not just because of the ~entitled~ people, but also the ones using it to rant about how toxic and horrible all travelling fans are, how this is proof Green Day hate them, etc. The point wasn't for people to pit themselves against each other like that. Wouldn't it be nice if Green Day fans would just practice what they preach about love and acceptance?

  48. I don't think he has though.
