Just been watching this classic again on repeat for the past hour or two. That is seriously still one of the greatest Youtube videos ever. I will never get tired of watching him dance. The man has magic hips. Isn't he just the most wonderful dork in the world. And I love how the clips are taken throughout pretty much their entire career, from 1992 to trilogy era. Honestly, as much as I want the next album to be less overtly political, I think it should have that one song, where he just absolutely let's loose and fires one (precise) shot after the other like he did here. This is such good entertainment! I think RevRad defenitely felt angry and political in places, but the anger wasn't (imo) as well directed as in songs like American Idiot and Holiday. But he still has it, these comments prove that. He needs to put this into a song somehow...

I would add Last of the American Girls to that list - I can't stand that video.

I thought it was just going to be like some Green Day b sides judging from the 3 songs on the original EP but the album as a whole has a fabulous retro/60s thing going on. There are some similarities to the trilogy but I think it really has its own sound that makes it a legitimate different project. And the Soundcloud EPs don't sound like GD at all. If you haven't yet I'd give the album and soundcloud EPs a listen, you might be surprised like I was.

I actually had two Green Day dreams last night. The first one, I was sitting in a theatre and GD were performing American Eulogy (one of my faves) onstage, but the big three weren't performing with them and I didn't know where they were. Then I noticed that the big three were sitting in the audience, and Jeff was just across the aisle from me, and I started freaking out. Then, GD invited the girl who was sitting next to me onstage, and said she could sing anything she wanted. GD then left the stage and the girl started singing a bunch of Ed Sheeran songs. In the second dream, I got stuck in a huge glass lift with Billie and a bunch of other people. Billie was being incredibly annoying, doing a running commentary on everybody else in the lift, but loud enough so that they could all hear him. People were getting ridiculously angry at him and I genuinely thought he was gonna get beaten up by these two menacing muscly guys that were there, so I kept slapping him round the head and telling him to shut up because I didn't want my favourite human to get beaten to a pulp. But the little fucker wouldn't stop, and he was getting increasingly irritating, and people were getting even angrier, and I was starting to panic, but then thank fuck I woke up.

Somewhere Now is my all time favourite Green Day song. And coupled with Forever Now it's perfection. "Hallelujah I found my soul under the sofa pillows" yes I find the opposite! I find it the most powerful and emotionally honest song Billie has written.
