  4. I mean, earthquakes are a fact of life in California and they're as well prepared for them as can be. I'm sure it's true that the likelihood of them happening goes up and down but the headline kind of sounds like fear mongering to me, it's a very vague prediction that it might happen at some time in the future but no idea when. That's pretty much always the case in an area affected by earthquakes.

  5. I've been randomly thinking (ha!) how lucky we are that our favorite band is Green Day. Not a single year goes by that we don't get at least a movie, a show, a song, a musical. They are so generous and fun, and I can't describe how happy their career has made my life. I've been typing in Mike Dirnt on youtube and finding all sorts of cool stuff. His new beard look while he mails stuff to the white house. A compilation of all his vocals from Green Day and The Network. But think about if your favorite band WASN'T Green Day. Think about.......THIS>>>> If your favorite band was Puddle of Mudd, you wouldn't get fun side project and and treats to tide you over between garbage.....I mean records. Instead, you'd get: The lead singer arrrested for beating up his wife. Lead singer arrested for breaking into previous home because despite being a millionaire, he can't pay the mortgage (drugs and liquor ARE more fun than having a roof over your head!) Lead singer arrested for dancing on top of airport property. Lead singer arrested for public intoxication. Lead singer arrested for disorderly conduct. Lead singer kicked out of various public places. Lead singer too drunk to play a show or even stand up. Band walking off stage because lead singer is too wasted to stand up, much less play a show. A constantly revolving band line-up because nobody can stand this douche bag lead singer. and then NINE YEARS of no new material whatsoever, but don't worry. They will post BS lines on the internet about recording new music and the new record coming very soon" . And then not following through . *****In the bands defense though, they do have some good tunes and they were on top of their game when I saw them live in 2005 (the same year I saw Green Day now that I think of it). And in my list of favorite bands, they do squeek in at #84. But man, what a trainwreck it has become since then. I saw them at a festival about 5 or 6 years later and it was awful. People were leaving in swarms to escape the horrible noises coming from this jerk. But hey, keep your head up Puddle fans. I'm sure Album Seven will released eventually.

  7. Was watching some footage of RevRad shows on Youtube today, and it made me realise how much I want KFAD to stay in the setlist. For starters, it used to be my fave song ever (before Bang Bang overtook it), so I'd be severely upset to see the actual song itself go. And all of the shenanigans that go on with it are just irreplaceable. The whole thing is just so fascinating. The dressing up, Freese's sax solos/Billie's kazoo, Billie's speeches, having Tre sing and Billie play drums, the overall goofiness - pure entertainment. And is there really anything cuter than Billie rolling around on the floor during his speech/the medley. I can understand why people don't like it/are over it by now, and I wouldn't mind if GD cut the medley down in future, but I'd be absolutely devastated if they took the entire thing off the setlist before I got the chance to see my first GD show.

  12. I'm not very comfortable with so many videos having been taken, and posted, of each song, of all the gigs, when Billie repeated he doesn't want that, here ... but since the videos are out, not gonna lie, I've been binge watching them, and with that sight, there are plenty of fangirlworthy parts. So I made these gifs: Sweaty Billie + earring = hawt ... @Jane Lannister thanks for your post in the Longshot thread where we can't post anymore, I didn't get a ticket, they were sold out in literally a few seconds, I couldn't even click on the "buy tickets" button and add one in my cart, even though I was there exactly on time... But I'm determined to try again and buy a ticket for one of the shows that were announced in May. Hope i'll be quick enough this time... I don't even know for which gig, if the tickets to all of them go on sale at the same time, it'll be harsh! But if I'm very lucky and get a ticket, to any of these shows, I'll buy the plane ticket right away and maybe try to meet someone else from GDC there? It would be awesome, and I'd be less afraid to get lost. I'm absolutely not used to anything in the USA

  15. For sure. I usually don’t like to read lyrics until I know I what’s up with the album and how I break it down but with Billie, his lyrics are so unmistakably and sort of under the covers, very poetic and sometimes have 3-4 meanings, and I mean on purpose. Its beautiful and I love breaking down the lyrics to songs and coming up with tha multiple interpretations which I think I’ll finally do for a Longshot song now. One word I’ve always said can change a whole album with Billie and GD and no album or two songs ever showed that more than SN and FN with dull and full as I was once famously fooled on FN thinking he said “dull” again instead of “full” and changed the whole album for me. That was fucking awesome and I wouldn’t change it. Love ya broski!

  16. God willing, if we do ever eventually cross paths and have a beer before or after a show I'll gladly compromise with a firm yet possibly awkward long-hug. But yes, I usually feel the same way after reading your posts as they're consistently the best on here. Seriously though, I actually remember the day of the Insomniac release and unfolding the liner and reading the lyrics word for word as the album played- I did this for all the major releases up until AI, and then digital took over. But I've tried to follow the same practice when possible since (mailed cd's for Trilogy, for example), as there was just something so incredibly enjoyable about it. I guess it's kind of like reading the comics in the newspaper- maybe it's something that's obsolete or from a foregone era at the point- but man, what an enjoyable way to meet an album.

  22. I’ve always interpreted it as “going away”, but I suppose it could also be interpreted as “dancing hard”. Like sometimes people will say “Look at that guy, he’s working away!” Meaning that they’re working hard, working fast, something like that. So if someone’s really flaunting it on the dance floor, you could say they’re “dancing away”.

  24. I saw "posthumous release" and I freaked. I thought something had happened to Billie for a second. I wonder if he and Billie spend any time together. Billie had gotten cleaned up by 2014 when that song was news. I saw where Serj Tankian was also supposed to appear on the record. The guy drank himself to death at 28, that is truly sad.

  25. Up until a few minutes ago I thought it was "I've got the diesel baby" in Chasing a Ghost (apparently it's actually "I've got the tears oh baby"). Can also reveal that at least two (2) other mod team members thought this.

  31. My favorite moment was when Billie squashed his sweaty head into Kevin’s face I think he meant to do the head butt thing like he does with Mike but Kevin didn’t get it. His smile was priceless though.

  36. In Redundant I always thought he sang the line “like a production line...” in a weird way, with an emphasis on the last syllable. I always thought he was saying “like a broken shore line” and I imagined ocean waves breaking over and over and over...
