Omg, when I woke up and saw that shirtless pic, I genuinely forgot how to breathe. I was choking on air for about 10 mins. Then I just stared at it for over an hour, taking in every little detail of that beautiful, tiny man. His tattoos are absolute works of art and he has the most perfect shoulders on anyone ever. I love his little moles/freckles so much. I've always said that I love him in necklaces, so I'm over the moon that he's started wearing a load of them for this Longshot stuff. And the earring. Do you reckon he brought the earring back specifically for this Longshot stuff? I mean, he's definitley had the Longshot project planned since AT LEAST January and he seems to have gotten the earring in December, and it really fits in with this look, so it would make sense. Aww, my wonderful boy looks so happy in this pic too - look at that sweet little smile. I don't care what anyone says, he is the epitome of perfection for me, my ideal human being, and I will love him til the end of time. Oh shit, I've just been so entranced by this exquisite picture of him that I didn't realise my grandmother has been knocking on the door of my house for about half an hour. It's seriously gotten to the point where I wake up every day fearing for my life because there's probably gonna be a new pic which is somehow even hotter than the last one, and my heart will just explode. Man, he's such a fucking teeeeeeeeease. IIrc, we haven't seen him fully shirtless (aside from the window pic but you could only see his back, and the Oakland coliseum underwear video where you could barely see him because of the light shining off his paleness) since trilogy era (?). He's teased us with shirtlessness so many times since the start of Revrad era though - this pic, that shower selfie from last year, that Troubled Times video, and the aforementioned window pic and underwear video. Please Billie, just give us the full thing, you're killing me.

As Green Day after so long together I doubt you could pick it all apart, and even ifMike and Tre do write stuff on their own it will be influenced by their past stuff even in small ways I’m sure. All good to me.

So we're almost 4 months into the year, and I'm only now realising that the official Green Day calendar has all of the holidays/band members birthdays etc. written at the bottom of each month. I feel like such an idiot. I suppose that's what I get for buying a calendar specifically to look at the pictures instead of using it for what it was actually made for.

I can't stop watching the clip of Stay the Night from last night's Longshot show. Firstly, that's one of my fave trilogy songs. Secondly, he looked beautiful in the clip. All sweaty and smiley and gorgeous and just totally in his element. I love seeing him this happy. And thirdly, his little speech in the middle of the song was so beautiful. It gave me so much hope. He is my inspiration every single day.

I thought that black and white pic was an old photo from the 90's at first... The earring is probably why. Plus he looks very young there.

always wondered if mike wrote his stuff 100% by himself, or if billie helped him in anyway. like maybe mike wrote the lyrics and billie helped him with the melodies? or maybe mike came up with 75% of it and then billie had ideas for chord changes or for bridges/choruses, etc (similar to how lennon and mccartney would bounce ideas off each other and would give each other bridges/choruses). i wonder the same thing for pinhead gunpowder, like did aaron write 100% of the song, the chords, the melodies, the lyrics, every little detail? or does he write the words and then billie, jason, bill, come up with the chords, melodies, etc.? do they all have a pow-wow and come up with everything together? i guess we'll never know, but i hear so much of billie's melodic tastes and songwriting style in songs that were supposedly written by mike, or aaron, or whoever, so i always was curious about the exact creative process that led to those songs. not to say mike, or aaron, or tre, or whoever couldn't just do 100% of the writing (lyrics, melody, structure, etc), i know they could, but yeah, just always wondered about the exact process. anyway, your mix is full of bangers. mike and tre are responsible for some of my faves. heres hoping that they write more in the future, whether it be green day, side projects, whatev

I feel the exact opposite. In fact there's probably at least 10 songs from that album that I'd rank amongst the absolute best Green Day songs to date and none of the songs, even the "weaker" songs are ones that I'd skip. The songs that people deem bad or lackluster are songs that I think are too over-hated

21CB is pretty lackluster for me. There are only about 6 songs on it that I don't skip regularly. The other songs certainly aren't bad, they just don't do much for me personally.

God willing, if we do ever eventually cross paths and have a beer before or after a show I'll gladly compromise with a firm yet possibly awkward long-hug. But yes, I usually feel the same way after reading your posts as they're consistently the best on here. Seriously though, I actually remember the day of the Insomniac release and unfolding the liner and reading the lyrics word for word as the album played- I did this for all the major releases up until AI, and then digital took over. But I've tried to follow the same practice when possible since (mailed cd's for Trilogy, for example), as there was just something so incredibly enjoyable about it. I guess it's kind of like reading the comics in the newspaper- maybe it's something that's obsolete or from a foregone era at the point- but man, what an enjoyable way to meet an album.
