He has the most dazzling smile in the world. It's one of those smiles that lights up his entire face (as well as my entire life) and it puts the most beautiful twinkle in his eye.

This is NOT mine and I don't know who drew it, but I found it on Instagram and I wanted to share it here because I think it's beautiful. Even with the sorta dark reference to murder, I think it's such an intriguing artistic interpretation of Homecoming and the death of St. Jimmy.

^^^God, he's just absolutely stunning. I don't even understand how it's possible to be so perfect. He's incredible. Here's another one of him looking so radiant: Gorgeous curls, adorable chubby cheeks, shiny chompers, sweaty neck and forearm, lovely ink, beautiful hands and, to top it all off, that brilliant gleam in his eyes. He is exquisite. There's no better feeling in this world than seeing that man happy. True beauty at it's finest.

Omg guys, it's 5:13 AM and I just had the most amazing dream. It was so realistic. So I dreamed I was at some random band's gig in one of the viewing rooms of a cinema, and Billie and Jeff were in the audience. Partway through the show, the two of them and about 6 other people that they were with stood up and Billie did the most beautiful speech about how we need to make our voices heard. He got a standing ovation for it and there was not one person in the room that wasn't on their feet. After the speech, the band that was performing turned their gig into a karaoke show, so you could go up to the stage and request a song, and they'd play it and let you sing. So Billie started singing a cover (can't remember what song it was now), and he came up right near me and started singing to the person across the aisle from me. It was only then that I realised I was wearing my pyjamas, no shoes, and I'd forgot to shave my legs. So the only thought going through my mind was 'oh no, Billie can see my hairy legs.' As he was singing, he noticed that I was singing along too, so he put the mic in my face and said "now you sing." Suddenly my mind went totally blank and I couldn't remember any of the lyrics. I felt so stupid and I felt like I'd let Billie down. He just said "hey, it's okay. You get silver," and then he gave me the biggest hug ever, and he felt so warm and strong and welcoming. Then he disappeared into the crowd and Jeff appeared next to me. Jeff was selling sets of football goalposts that were made out of jelly beans and he asked me if I wanted to buy one. I said yes, but I didn't have any money on me, so I asked my mam for some money and Jeff made some wisecrack about how the whole purpose of parents these days was to be their kid's personal bank account. Then, Jeff pointed out his jelly bean goalposts, which were at the bottom of the stairs. For reasons that are unknown to me, rather than just walking down the stairs like a normal person, I jumped over the railing and ended up faceplanting in front of Jeff Matika. TL;DR: I dreamed I embarrassed myself in front of Billie Joe Armstrong and Jeff Matika multiple times.

Recording right now, but tempted to abort, because it’s just the exact same s**** so far... (started with Basket Case, had same transition, voice over and everything). But tbh, what else could we really expect... Also, listening to this makes me want even more that they release a live album / live DVD damnit... EDIT: Ok, the whole thing’s over. Apart from the fact that Youngblood was skipped it’s the exact same thing! Seriously, exactly the same. Same order, same interruptions, same goddamn everything... What a waste of precious time... Uggggggh, I feel about as cynical as Christian in Christians Inferno right now lol God (not that I believe in him) help me...

Are We The Waiting is one of my favourite songs on AI (Idk if that's unpopular, but I barely ever see anyone talking about it). I just think that it's so underrated. There are some beautiful lyrics in it - I think that "the rage and love, the story of my life, the Jesus of suburbia is a lie," is one of the best lyrics Billie has ever written. And the transition from AWTW to St. Jimmy is my favourite part of the entire album, tbh. I love the contrast of the two songs - AWTW is so calm and actually pretty sad, and then BAM! It's St. Jimmy, bitch.

I love this picture ever since he did the photoshoot for RS magazine after his rehab. He looks so vulnerable. Anyway, since it's Billie's birthday today, lets have a more serious moment. Billie Joe is my role model in so many ways. He stands up for what he believes in. He takes care of everyone he loves. He knows how to put a smile on everybody faces. He gives back a lot to his community. Billie is a beautiful human being. He went through a lot during his life, having his ups and downs. In the end, he never gave up. Billie inspired me to become a better person. I have my ups and downs too and I wanted to give up so many times. But when I look at him, I feel like I must continue to hold on. If somebody like him can succeed in life with ADHD, I can too with my ADD. I am not good at playing music, but I have other artistic skills. Billie worked very hard to develop his musical talent and create his career. I know I will do the same with my own artistic talents. When I'm affraid to fail, I think about Billie and how hard he worked to succeed. I felt like a failure for so many years. The perception of myself changed thanks to him. When I was a teen, I was kind of affraid of him. Billie represented the type of guy I wanted to hate. But, over the years, the more I discovered him as a person, the more I understood him. I realized I was totally wrong about him. Never judge a book by its cover! Over the years, so many things changed in my life, for the better and the worst. Billie was always closed by in my heart, but I never understand it until I saw him live for the 1st time in 2010. Seeing him how passionate he was and how hard he was trying to make sure nobody felt left out at the concert, he simply blew me away that night. The guy has the abilty to change the world. He can touch everybody's heart and soul. It is a weird thing to say, but the first image I've ever seen of Billie on tv was his mugshot when he got arrested for drunk driving. If I had stop looking at him back then after what he had done wrong, I wouldn't be able to say today, on his 46th birthday, that I'm grateful that he is in my life. I don't know him personally, but he's like a friend to me. He inspired me everyday. Whenever I feel depressive, sad, mad... his presence (even if it's just on a paper, a magazine, the cds) cheer me up. When I want to figure out a situation, I try to relate to him. When I need to see a smile, he's the one I go to look at. If I was ever able to meet him someday, the most important thing for me to tell him is «Thank you». So, yeah, sorry for the long post, but the birthday boy deserved to be celebrated. 46 years old and he is still looking young, rocking the world and touching so many hearts! I'm grateful he is in my life. I hope it will be the case for many more years to come. Billie is a beautiful human being. He deserved to have the best birthday ever. (Can I say that this post was about fangirling on Billie's personality? In any case, Billie Joe is hawt!)

When you see the name Billie spelled with an IE and you start totally freaking out, even though it's totally unrelated to GD.

Looks like the show was February 1 according to the flyer printed in the article. Billie is friends with the guys in EODM and the song he guested on Bowie’s Moonage Daydream is the song he lifted lyrics from for the FBHT song Alligator (“I’m an alligator...I’m a space invader”) so this makes total sense. Shame no one got video of it. Nice find. ETA: There are clips of the show on YouTube but none of this that I can find.

This year's line-up does not intrigue me at all. Sum 41 is the only act I would like to see, which is a shame because this was the first year that I was actually considering going to Leeds. And Dua Lipa. They haven't had a decent line-up since 2015 imo. Man, I really hope GD do it within the next few years. I need them to play some kind of festival/show in Britain that I can actually get to, or there's actually no point in me being alive.
