While awaiting the 2nd Coverups gig tomorrow, here's a beautiful 2013 pic of Billie :4 points

I have the same interpretation as yours for that line, and in some way I find every line in this song to be more cringy than the other: "Out of a magazine", "What do you think she's holding", as examples. This spelling is so bold and so speaking at the same time, and with Billie's voice and the music I easily get wrapped by all of it, kind of not really feeling the cringy aspect (usually coming to this song while listening to the record in order). Drama Queen is one of those songs I don't listen so often to, but when I do, I think : "damn! that's so good".3 points

Less than a day 'til we get new pics of our beautiful Billie.I can't wait to see my favourite human again. I hope somebody posts good footage of the show.3 points

It's 13 years today since my first Green Day show. I still remember everything about the whole day with perfect clarity. But damn, I feel old. I bet the parking would be a wild experience too.3 points

Last one: Not the typical idea of "revealed" but those who remember the rib bulge will understand.3 points

That is how I have always viewed it as well. I know it is probably not that, but it is the quickest and easiest interpretation.2 points

This. Also I think it's intended to be creepy to reflect the creepiness of the subject matter of young girls being exploited. The whole chorus is super creepy including "daddy's little bundle of joy", imo it's what makes the song effective and good.2 points

As much as I love Drama Queen (and I do, a lot) I always cringe when I hear the line "everyone’s drama queen is old enough to bleed now". It probably means she's old enough to experience serious hurt in form of betrayal or some other deep shit but I always interpret it as a serenade to her first menstruation.2 points

Not to get too off topic, but Mariah was actually amazing back in the day. She had an impressive range that just left you in awe. Now? Not so much. And while I do think Christina Aguilera is an amazing singer, yes, she's totally guilty of those vocal aerobics, which are annoying, but putting the blame solely on Mariah? Nah. It's been happening way before she hit the scene. And to keep things on topic, I was watching the Grammys and I know Green Day wasn't going to be there, but I always hope they'll make a random appearance :P2 points

I remember him telling the contestants to stop doing “vocals acrobatics” which was hilarious because thats Christina Aguilera calling card. He aint wrong though lol 😆2 points

Gah, I can’t wait to see pics of Billie from the Cover ups show tomorrow. Specifically his outfit & his hair. I’m hoping the hair is more trimmed and in control. I would say that I’m also anxious to see how Mike looks, but I think we know. Unless he suddenly decided to un-caveman himself 🤣2 points

These guys. Billie's adorable little smile and Mike's cute face. Their friendship is so uplifting. I'm so glad that they have that special bond.2 points

Aw, Billie on my TV is never pointless. He looked lovely ❤️2 points

It looks like a Guild to me. Can't be sure of the specifics but it could be a D-50 or an F-20, since he apparently owns both.1 point

I think it’s intended to have a double meaning since it’s about coming of age in a lot of ways.1 point

They went bowling in Cleveland when they were there for the hall of fame induction. Naturally, a bunch of people stalked them. So unfortunately I can’t imagine it’s much fun for them unless they rent out an alley to themselves.1 point

In fact, he wasn't much there during the Voice. It's normal that you don't find many videos of him. He was there for the 1st round of battles, which was filmed way before his iHeart meltdown. The following rounds were live, but Billie was in rehab at the time. The tv show had to continue without him and the other mentors. (I'm more used to the French Canadian version of the tv show and in it the mentors stay until the finals. I don't know if it was normally the case for the US version too.)1 point

RevRad as a whole is just so good. It bums me out that this album cycle might be over and there are still songs that haven't been played live yet. I really wish they would have played the album in full somewhere and recorded it!1 point

Brutal Love is one of Green Day’s best songs, period! The raw emotion captured in it overwhelms me every time I listen to it. It’s a good love song because I think it touches on something very real — it’s not a rosy love song, but you can feel the passion and pain that comes with a more difficult kind of love.1 point
