Agreed. Tbh, at this point, I'm more excited for the movie than the next GD album. I mean, an entire freakin' movie based on one of the greatest albums of all time (with lots of professional footage of the most perfect human on the planet looking sexy as St.Jimmy). I can't fucking wait!

Guilty as charged we did so that!! Let me clarify: I would pay good money to see Billie to do ballroom dancing and I think he would be really good. However, I hate that frickin show and every other one that dilutes and cheapens real art in dancing and singing, and I don’t want him to do any of them.

I think it's really interesting that almost this whole thread is dedicated to Billie, not so much Mike or Tré. I mean, I love Billie, I just find it interesting.

I just watched it. That actually turned out to be my favorite part — Jonah says he likes Green Day and Amy challenges him to name three songs and he starts going off and names like eight! It was pretty much every single from Dookie and AI. She walks away he’s still naming them. It was funny (and totally something I’d do 😂)

Yay! I'm so happy The Coverups are doing a 2nd gig. The last couple of weeks Billie has been in hermit mode- hopefully we will get some better close ups of his new earrings, or even better- a decent view of the Rev Rad tattoo which we've barely seen since he got it (which will probably never happen- but we can only hope).

Met a Green Day fan in the wild the other day - I'm in a group for young queers and we met for the first time in 2018 on Thursday. There were a few people who weren't there last year, including another person. Throughout the afternoon, I learned that he* can play bass guitar and that Boulevard was the first song he learned on it; and we got into a fairly excited discussion about the one minute thing. Good fun. *I'm pretty sure that they identified as male, so that's what I went with, but TBH I have no idea. The world we live in, huh?

When somebody mentions Milton Keynes on TV, and you have to go watch BIAB clips immediately. When you still have last year's unofficial Green Day calendar, even though you have no room to keep it, but you just can't bear to throw it away. When your grandmother calls your cousin a "tramp" because he's wearing odd socks, and you get offended because you remember Billie Joe's sock habits.

Now I want Billie to participate in any tv show involving dancing. I'm sure he can win something.

You are absolutely right. All the goofy dancing Billie does is for laughs. I have a background in dance & my daughter is a competitive dancer, and I’m telling you Billie is kinesthetically gifted. I’ve seen some dance moves from him (the faux break-dancing, the cowboy skip/butt-slap, the death-drop split, the mid-air split leaps and jumps) that the average person would look like a complete idiot even attempting. If he had training, he would be a fantastic dancer or gymnast. But it’s hilarious to think of him doing anything choreographed, because that would shut him right down.

I would believe that if there were any evidence at all that he really could. On a similar note, I’m laughing at the way he’s trying to climb into the car here because it looks super awkward 😂 He’s the cutest thing ever 😘

Superstore is one of my favorite shows on TV rn so I loved last night's ep! Cheyenne is planning her 2-year-old's birthday party, but her mother, who just got out of jail, is meddling/taking control of the party. Green Day is the mom's favorite band, so she wants the party to be GD-themed and Cheyenne asks her coworkers for help in getting stuff for it. They try to talk Cheyenne into a more age-appropriate thing, like mermaids. Cheyenne is uneducated and naive so Amy (America's character) uses that dumb reasoning and it's enough to (temporarily) change her mind. We discover that a coworker loves the band and Basket Case plays in the store, too. They've been using muzak versions of songs this season, so it was nice to hear the real song! Side note: I could see GD bounce houses and pinatas being amazing. Hey, we got candles, why not?

It’s been hard. I keep hoping for an announcement of something soon, a tour DVD, a remix, news on the AI movie, anything at all.

When It's time is the fourth song I've learned to play on guitar a few months ago, right after having discovered it, randomly on Youtube. I first fell on the recorded version and was stunned by the beauty of it. So I listened to it in repeat, crying of emotion, and went looking for live versions of it, as the one you posted. The lyrics speak to me a lot. This song helped me to put the right words on what I feel for the man I love, which happens to be my boss (you guys from the old fangirls thread must be aware of the story ) and even though he didn't see me play it, I'm quite sure learning to play and sing this song is contributed to give me the courage to tell him how I feel. On a side, note, it's not hard to play, even the solo in the recorded version, it's only one chord at a time. I don't actually find the short hair to make him younger, it depends on the pics but to me it tends to be the contrary, and I don't find that anti-sexy at all . That haircut was a complete cut (it's the word!) with the haircut he had a couple of months before, and it was also the shortest hair during all RevRad tour, so it took me a little while to get into it, but now I totally have. I remember @Grubby Poop to have said (not gonna look for the post but I remember it well), that with this haircut we can see his face. I've agreed back then, and agree even more now that I'm in a fangirl mood over this look. Billie has beautiful hair and also a beautiful face, and with the short haircut we pay less attention to his hair and more to his face. His hair has grown very quickly since, and by watching some pictures of the Coverups show, I've surprised myself wondering : where has his face gone, under all this thick, curly hair? and then I stare at his beautiful hair again... I totally see the helmet impression, but I think it's caused by straightening his hair; while his longer hair, left natural and curly, as it happened during a few gigs in 2017, don't look like a helmet and make him look young as well; for example, a picture from September : I showed this to someone whom I hadn't spoken of GD yet and she didn't believe the man was 45 then again it depends on the pics...

Somebody in another thread mentioned the live performances of Drama Queen in 2009, and it just occurred to me that I've never actually watched it all the way through before. So I've just watched it now, and omg, I can't believe what I've been missing. Drama Queen is by no means my favourite song (it's not even one of my faves from the trilogy), but that performance is so beautiful. I love his voice so much, it's so soothing. I also love the close-up of his hand at 1:17, you can see that he has only one fingernail painted blue. LNOE sounds wonderful too - his voice is the perfect mix of beautiful and sexy on that one. I'm not usually a huge fan of acoustic songs, but watching Billie's acoustic performances is absolutely magical.

God, I've got a very clear picture now of a student doing a presentation on their paper they just finished, based on this thread! How scary is that!
