When you're walking along the street and you pretend that you're in the WICA/BOBD/Walking Contradiction music video. When you have your first driving lesson and the only thing going through your mind is the Holiday music video. When you're writing the name 'Billy' and you forget it can be spelled with a Y. When you google Green Day twice per hour just to see if anything has happened. When you physically can't get out of bed until someone plays a Green Day song downstairs, and then you have to get up to go and listen to it.9 points

You have every album/CD and DVD they every put out, including stuff about them they didn't put out. You check social media first thing every morning just in case they have been doing something. You visit a forum to talk about them virtually every day to see what is going on! Oh, and you do this while wearing a Green Day t-shirt and listening to Green Day! Other bands are available..........9 points

- When you scream and turn the volume up whenever a GD song is on the radio - although you could listen to the song anytime you want. But only a true fan knows that it always sounds better on the radio -When you call in sick at work because you're going to a GD show, but your boss didn't give you a day off -When you compare every single show of another band you see to a GD show and think "Dammit, GD is so much better live" -When you have at least one GD song that perfectly describes every phase of your life / every mood6 points

I think I should leave this video here. Billie walking strangely, touching his ass, a shirt too tight and a glimpse of his belly. I love this man.6 points

I apologize if this isn't thread-worthy or has been done already, but I thought it could be fun. Are there ever any instances that occur in your daily life where someone says something and you immediately start singing a Green Day song in your head? Or if you see a sign you think of a song? I'll give a few examples of what I mean: -While watching the NFL playoffs today, the commentators have described a play as "Bang, bang" a few times, so I immediately started singing the song in my head. -There's a street I pass called Longview Ave and I always start humming the opening bass line -My brother took a picture from Gate 86 at an airport the other day and told me, "There's no return." -I will sing Give Me Novocaine in my head while the dentist is drilling my teeth -Same goes for Blood, Sex and Booze when things get kinky in the bedroom These are just a few examples of what I'm getting at and I'm curious if anyone else had things like this happen in their own crazy Green Day brains.5 points

When you hear a snippet of a GD song in the background of a TV show, so you rewind it and listen to it again multiple times, then go on twitter to see if anybody else noticed.2 points

When your friend said that Green Day were shit, so you refused to speak to him until he bought you GD memorabilia. When you sing any song and your voice just comes out as Billie's accent. When you're at school and you apply every sociological or psychological theory that you learn to GD. When you basically cry yourself to sleep every night because you haven't been able to go to a GD show yet, and you're starting to think that you'll never get the opportunity.2 points

^^^ Haha, I've never seen that one before. Ngl, I must've re-watched that crotch grab at 1:57 about 20 times. And when the girl goes and hugs Mike and Billie tells her to stop - I love how he gets jealous when the person he pulls onstage goes over to the other guys instead of him. I remember one time when a girl got up onstage, ignored Billie, and ran up to hug Tre and kiss him on the cheek. Billie was all like "I got you up here to sing, not make out with Tre Cool," and then he threatened to let someone else sing instead of her if she didn't stop it. He is such an attention whore. And the kiss with Mike and the horse head. Those dorks.2 points

I must have missed that one. Thanks! I go scrounging for pictures when there’s no Green Day news and I’m so so bored.2 points

So this is a random thought I was wondering about. You know how Green Day are kind of well known for having pretty regular band practice when not on the road? That’s apart from time spent rehearsing new songs before recording. So how are they doing that now that Tre lives in SoCal? It’s too far to commute every day. Do you think he comes up and stays for months at a time for practice/rehearsal/recording and all the other work they normally do from their Oakland base?2 points

^^^ Omg, just before he introduces Mike, when he tries to do a drum roll by stomping his feet. He looks so funny. What a dork.2 points

It works though. The way he commands the crowd is very impressive and not an easy thing imo, it's taken years to perfect his method. Expecting him to achieve the same level of command of the crowd/crowd interaction and entertainment in a totally different way every time seems like kind of high expectations . He's more entertaining than 99.9% of frontmen and is famous for it, it's an amazing skill to put on a show like he does and I sometimes wonder if that's become taken for granted on here when it's all dismissed just because the type of show they do is a planned out one. But for real there's more variation to Hitchin A Ride and KFAD performances than there is for any other song, so much randomness goes on and variations between tours. They do pretty much every other song exactly the same every show and every tour. But these are always the two picked on! He was totally bringing the moans back in the last half of the Rev Rad tour (7:00)1 point

Someone asked on FB what is your favorite Billy Joel song and album I answered Basket Case and Insomniac1 point

I legit just realized I've been singing Letterbomb wrong all these years I sing "the television's an extortionist" and I've literally just found out the real lyrics are "the town bishop's an extortionist" I never questioned it, I just thought it was a clever way of connecting to American Idiot (the song). lmao1 point

I had a dream last night where I was at a record store and I saw a CD of Insomniac but the cover art was darker than normal. I flipped it over and on the back cover it was a photo of them and it turns out the CD was a bootleg of a secret show that they performed before they recorded the album where they played a bunch of insomniac songs but they had different names. I don't remember the names but I do remember that the CD was $61 point
