Happy birthday! If he really turns into Hobo Billie, it may be purposely, as to spend a couple of days hopefully without being pursued by fans. (I admit I would really love to see if he grows a white gray beard now ) Smol has become one of the words I think the most of every day

My guess is that he's reached that level of hobo-ness when no new pictures surface because no one recognizes him anymore.

Yes it was the Hatch Shell riot. He jumped off the stage to start pulling out the flowers in the landscaping and security was trying to stop him or something. Once bottles started flying they ran and hid until the crowd left.

It's taken me a while, but I've finally gotten into Prosthetic Head. I absolutely love it.

#sad (it has to be said Liam made a noble attempt recently, I'm just slow) But yeah I listened to it for like an hour before work and spent all night physically incapable of not humming/singing it to myself, so I think I'm good lol. And I agree with Tré, it's a ~cute~ song + it sounds quite Warning-esque which is a huge plus in my book.

I'm gonna keep an eye out for him this Saturday since Joey and Jakob's bands are playing together in NYC. Probably a decent chance he'll be there. I'll report back if I do see him!

I would have loved to see Billie Joe as St.Jimmy. At the time, I tried my best to go to NYC to see AI, but there was always a problem preventing me to go. So, yeah, thanks Youtube for the videos! Billie Joe seemed to have a lot of fun on the stage. He was totally changing the mood on the stage everytime he appeared. And Billie belives he's too old for the role now. Hell no! He's maybe 45 years old, but he doesn't look like a 45 years old man. Add to the fact that St.Jimmy doesn't have any specific age at all. Billie Joe is St.Jimmy. No other actors can do the role as good as Billie did. On another note, I don't know who Billie is giving a hug to, but look at his face! He seems to be in paradise, lol, but I love it. (And I so wish he was giving me a hug since it is my birthday today.)

That character is esentially meant to be a part of him. What he did in the musical wasn't that different from his usual st jimmy persona, he just got play it out more.

Agreed on both of these points. He just looks absolutely smokin hot in this pic. And for some reason his neck looks extra yummy.

This is my favorite one from this photoshoot. Hair, makeup, tattoos, expression, the little head tilt and stare...everything is on point. And can I also say that looking at this I’m convinced he can totally still play St. Jimmy at 45+

I always wished they had filmed an entire performance when Billie was in the show. I happily would pay to see it. Thank god for the people who filmed snippets of it while they were there.

Oh bless me lord for I have sinned and only just discovered Poprocks & Coke. Better keep it on repeat for a few weeks to make up for it

I love that pic so much - he looks kinda young and his tattoos look wonderful. Also, he looks so smol - look at his little shoulders tho. So cute. I'm convinced that he's the only man on earth that can look incredibly hot and extremely adorable at the same time. As for St. Jimmy, I agree with @Thatsername - I never really saw St. Jimmy as a character of a particular age, and I don't think it really matters if he's played by an older actor. Billie could totally pull it off. The thing about Billie is that he created St. Jimmy, so he understands the character better than anyone. That seems evident in the footage of him on Broadway. He may not be the best actor, but I think one of the reasons he pulled it off better than anyone is because he had that understanding of the character, so he knew how it was supposed to be.

Totally agree that he blows the others off the stage. I get there are different styles, but in the film you see Tony Vincent twice doing snippets and when Billie comes, as the reviews said, he electrifies the part, will forever be sorry that I couldn’t see him perform in the show on Broadway. 😢 He better be in the movie or Tom Hanks will have to answer to us 😝

Billie HAS to play the St. Jimmy. Whenever I watch parts of the Broadway show on Youtube and he comes on stage, I always think that he's wiping the other actors off the stage with his energy. Plus, I don't think that St. Jimmy neccessarily has to be a very young man. He's always been more a timeless and age-less metaphor for me. Yes please

Totally agree, he looks great and he can definitely carry off playing St Jimmy for a few years yet. Also, let’s face it, who else would dare try to play this part?

Billie replied to a guy who criticised him for getting political saying he had been a fan since 2006 but the politics at the show he went to on this tour put him off. He complained that Billie should find something else to criticise Trump over besides "No racism, no sexism, no homophobia" and ended by saying that his parents had raised him to believe in Elvis's belief that you should never judge anyone until you walk in their shoes. I have to say I'm making his reply a lot more coherent than it actually was and following Billie's replies he evidently deleted his post billiejoearmstrong @trent_ta hey man. Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I have to say I got into punk and rock n roll because, to me, it’s about rebellion and it gives you a “feeling”. To me punk is about a conversation and it can make you uncomfortable. And it simply can fuck with people. It acts on your instincts.. my caption was a joke however every joke has its truth.
