Yes The same scene from different angle: Look at his happy face10 points
-
I wonder if he enjoys the onstage fan interaction so much because it seems to be the only time he can really be comfortable getting that close to fans. It gives him a chance to connect in a way that would be scary and awkward on the street or somewhere. Here he can really drop his barriers. He strikes me as this kind of affectionate person in his personal life and this is the one time he gets to show that side to fans.8 points

I think it’s amazing the way he loves to bring fans on stage, he is completely unselfish about sharing the stage, the look of delight on his face when they really get into it is great to see and totally genuine, and then he says something like “get the fuck off my stage”, and they know he’s messing with them. I also think he is totally not bothered about his height, not all short men have what my dad, a short man, called little mans desease. I think Michael Mayer said of Billie, that he was the most comfortable in his own skin of any person he had ever met.7 points

Omg, absolutely. He's in his element on stage, it's his comfort zone, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's why he brings so many fans up on stage.7 points
-
He definitely enjoys being lifted, he jumps up to help and grins from ear to ear . He's so sweet with fans on stage, part of him being an amazing frontman who instinctively gives everything of himself to the show and the crowd I guess, as well as just being an affectionate sweet person.6 points
-
I haven't thought about it this way, but I think you're totally right! He seems to love interacting with fans on stage and off stage as well, but when he's up there he's probably feeling the most comfortable and isn't afraid to be more affectionate because it's on his own terms, he runs the show and it's all part of it.4 points

What a good decision to take a days holiday off work. It was cold and icy outside when I went Christmas shopping in town so I think I'll spend the rest of my day off looking at Rev Rad era videos4 points

Looks like there used to be a thread in the pictures section of the site, but the last post was in 2013 and it's archived now. And my vote is for his hip tattoos. Cause, ya know, Billie's hips.4 points

“It’s okay to be nervous but still living life and moving forward.” I appreciate his honesty here. I know he said this about the Iraq war, Afghanistan, etc. but it applies even more today. I’ve been scared about North Korea and telling myself that he probably is scared too and I find that comforting somehow that we live in the same scary world and are getting through it together. I wondered what he would say about it if I could ask him but then I found this clip and the above quote. Suits me fine, he’d probably say the exact same thing today. So thanks Billie, for being there for me once again, even when you don’t know it. 💚 #greendaysaves3 points

Which is weird because it shows how a perception of a person can be so different from how they themselves feel when he describes himself as being the most uncomfortable person in a crowded room. But I guess social awkwardness is a different thing from feeling comfortable with your body.3 points

Aww I haven’t watched that in ages! Theres a video for Maria too in case you haven’t seen it:3 points

I didn’t know there was a video for Poprocks and Coke. So cute! “These pants don’t fit at all” 😂3 points

I've recently gained a huge appreciation for X-Kid. It has quickly become one of my favorites. This is a brilliant set of lyrics: "Did you wake up late one day and You're not so young, but you're still dumb And you're numb to your old glory but now it's gone"3 points

And there's this: Any excuse to post this again. So smol.3 points

So true. Just one sentence from Billie can bring great comfort to people all over the world for years to come, without him even realising it. He's the perfect type of person to rely on when you're struggling/worried/scared, because you know there'll always be a quote or a lyric that will help you - he's just naturally that kind of person and I love him for it.2 points

I've just watched this video that @pacejunkie punk posted in the Random Green Day Thoughts thread, and Billie mentions cunnilingus at 1:07. I never noticed his oral fixation until it was mentioned in the old fangirls thread, but since then it's just been cropping up everywhere. Also, in the first pic in the video, Billie's happy trail is so hot.2 points

I sometimes wonder whether he's one of those few people who were practically born with such an amount of body confidence or if it's a progress he's made over the years. It's a beautiful thing either way and it makes him really attractive2 points
-
That seems so true. Like, he obviously has his own internal insecurities and stuff, but he seems so comfortable with his body.2 points

As well as all the clips of Billie being sweet with fans when they're on stage, I also liked that occasion during the AI era when Billie went into Dad mode after spotting something he didn't like. So fangirl-worthy. You go Billie!2 points

Poprocks and Coke is such a nice, sweet song it makes me smile from ear to ear whenever I hear it2 points

You just posted that so we could have another image of Billie being lifted.2 points

Yeah people often just dismiss the entire trilogy, but this and some other trilogy songs have some fantastic lyrics. I mean, people get distracted from some crap lyrics in certain songs but I mean, if you put the top 10-15 trilogy songs lyrically into one playlist, that'd lyrically be one great album.2 points

I absolutely love the fact that he's small - it's so adorable. Usually, I'm attracted to taller guys, but Billie pulls off the tiny-ness so well. I wouldn't have him any other way.2 points

On the subject of whether he minds being reminded how small he is, I recall this little jokester1 point

I hate Like A Red if it was his original song. It's a parody putting together lyrics from several rap songs and that's what it makes a bit less disgusting and more funny1 point

Yeah, I literally just found it. I did a search on GDC and Hermione had posted it in the Q&A thread back in 2014. I don't know why I thought he was blonde though. Thanks for posting it anyway. He goes into the crowd during Going to Pasalacqua, at 5:40 here:1 point

I love it when he does stuff like that, he’s always looking out for folk, not sure how he manages to see all he does but he’s certainly stopped a few fights etc in the crowd.1 point

I have mixed feeling about this. All By Myself is great but Like A Rat Does Cheese is pretty misogynistic.1 point

Oh my god . It's kind of cringy with the dumb voice and the isn't it funny if he's swearing all the time and the fact that he actually was just silent on the street and they added the shouting afterwards . But I still like that they're going all out with it.1 point

Aw I haven't seen both of those in ages Both Poprocks and Coke and Maria just make me happy whenever I hear them1 point

We already have a fangirl thread where we talk about every part of their (mostly Billie's) bodies, I can't imagine a thread discussing the ink ON their bodies would be off limits? haha. You should start one.1 point

It is! X-Kid has great lyrics. It's often overlooked but it's definitely one of the lyrically best songs on the trilogy.1 point

There is also the picture in which Joey and Jakob lifted Billie (I think they were on a boat or something). Billie has his arms around his sons' shoulders and they both hold one leg. (I'm in school; I can't search for the picture right now.) Billie Joe is small, but I will never be able to pick him up. I'm 3 inch smaller than him and I'm not in good shape. But I can atleast give him a hug if I ever met him.1 point

Oh I wish we had a Green Day tattoo discussion thread because I was just having this discussion elsewhere where we were trying to identify and date them. There are a lot of photos out there too but I don’t have a site to post photos from if you’re feeling ambitious and want to start a thread hopefully that will be okay with the mods. I love talking about their ink. What’s funny about the JCS one is that I’ve always loved that show and when I saw he had it I thought he was a fan too. Turned out he only got to know the musical later. He just saw the image on his friend’s soundtrack album and liked it but hadn’t even heard it. I couldn’t imagine taking that kind of risk with a tattoo. What if he heard the show and hated it? But then he always had a christianity fetish so it makes sense. I love the look of his full sleeves overall, but individually I love “Be Silently Drawn” and the fact that he has his kids’ names and Adie’s pictures and anything that has more meaning for him. Even the little homemade ones are cool because they have a history, like the matching stars he and Mike have.1 point
