I love the line "Let them eat poison and it tastes like lemonade" in Back in the USA. It's one of those simple, but clever sentences only Billie could think of that immediately put a smile on my face every time I hear them. It's very similar to "Hallelujah I found my soul under the sofa pillow."6 points

So my boss apparently got irritated by Billie wearing a crown of thorns. Yesterday, I put the picture I last posted as a background at work, and today when I arrived, I found it had been removed for a simplistic picture of a window! So I took my revenge by changing my boss' background for this picture, while putting an "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" quote next to it: because I love my boss and then I came to his office (for work matters), and we both laughed like dorks Thanks Billie!3 points

Yeah, cause you never know, a lawyer could get easily pissed off because of his amount of work, and lately there has been a lot of work! So I wanted to be messy as usual, but to make him have fun at the same time (he keeps saying he's tired of Billie, and I say you jealous, and it has finally become a game for both of us!) And as I love him, this was the best way to say it again without saying it, and he was the first one to laugh helplessly when I came in his office1 point

The wrapping paper's cool! Reminds me I still have a small piece of GD Christmas wrapping paper from Kerrang a few years ago in my GD box. They really do have such great merch at the moment, it was abysmal for many years so they've really stepped their game up. I don't know why they can't do women's/form fitting shirts though, not everyone wants to wear a big baggy one.1 point

Was just re-watching Goat Island and got a kick out of watching Jason when he was on the sidelines. Air strumming to Longview, Hitchin' a Ride, and 2000 Light Years Away and totally into Blood, Sex, and Booze.1 point

Messy responses to various fangirls matters on the last few pages: 1) In the Back In The USA video, Billie is freakin' hawt in the splitting coffee look. Those hair and sunglasses, oh my . But the look that killed me the most is the one at the end. Everything about him is just too handsome to handle. And a bit of fluff does help to make the hair look really good. That short - not so short anymore - hair has now well grown on me thanks to that. 2) Also, the crown of thorns the pic where Billie leans in front of the mic (shared by Billie on his Instagram) is my new computer background at work. I confess it's rather purposely, I work for quite religious people, now they've never seen that religious symbol with so much sexiness at the same time. (I'm refraining from putting a bunch of love emoticons here!) 3) About Mike during gigs, as I was once on his side, he really is very cheerful, along with being badass to watch playing (I didn't fall in love with him though! ). As I was first row, more than once he came close to where I was, smiling at us and doing funny faces, and he gave a big thumb up to the flag I was holding with my friend, several songs before Billie asked for it. I even wondered if maybe it was thanks to Mike? Anyways, when I couldn't see Billie very well, being in front of Mike made the waiting so much better. And when Billie appeared in my sight just next to Mike, it was the best thing ever to look at them both together at once, in real. It fills me with great joy to drift back to these memories (or what's left of them, which is still more than enough ). * * * As I haven't been around much and contributed to this thread lately, here's a picture of Billie I'm fangirling really hard over (I found it on a Facebook link @pacejunkie punk shared above): The fluffy, shining hair, with the bit of white on the side (really, he could not dye his hair entirely!), the chin, the mouth... his posture, the way he looks above... That man is life1 point

http://m.excelsior.com.mx/funcion/2017/11/14/1201087 New interview with BJA. Translation: Will Billie Joe and Tim Armstrong cooperate in the future? The two musicians seem to want to do it - new interview Excelsior.Com.Mx: in every person there is a rebellious spirit. It is still the case that punk rock is the genre of excellence that tends to criticize, because since the time of gold in the United Kingdom and New York, in the mid-70 s, it was against the monarchy, defending the rights of Working class and fighting against racism. The Battle line continued in the United States with the emergence of scenes from the west coast and East Bay, a blockade which, until now, remains the strongest anti-government group in the world, which is opposed to George w's war ideas. Bush and now he's doing it against the racism spread by President Donald Trump's philosophy. "and the most impressive thing is that now punk rock is even more important", says in an exclusive interview with Excelsior, Billie Joe Armstrong, leader of the group of Green Day, one of the pillars of the genre since 1986, " because people are really angry and that, in my opinion, has stopped to in one category. Today we can see many people listening to the music of Kendrick Lamar and Bad Religion, or any other genre that, where if not everyone is recognized in that kind of protest, it is a multicultural moment in the Coexistence, we have the same concerns and desire to express all our discontent, which for me represents the punk of today ", added the singer singer. The most powerful and more albums that green day released were American idiot (2004) and the most recent revolution radio (2016), both born in the controversial governments of George w. Bush and trump, respectively; in addition to their popular and beloved dookie, del1994. So the force of punk lies in the most complex contexts that humanity has to face? " suddenly things got pretty hectic. For example, we recorded revolution radio while we were watching the election campaign (direct to the presidency of the United States) and we saw that it was rather corrupt, dirty, dishonest and that, in one way or another, it would end badly for us. Once again, it was that American culture that made me worry, and at the same time to focus on a record that talks about poverty, which seems to be no matter, of violence, shootings, insecurity. In the end it was a powerful message, and a desperate attempt to project the things that I had in my head and they gave me the chills ", he said This Friday, before their participation on Sunday at the closing of the Festival Corona Capital, green day will publish their greatest hits album: God's favorite band, with the original track back in the USA and a collaboration with the country singer Miranda Lambert In ordinary world, a genre that was never completely ignored by Oakland Musicians, because in kerplunk! ,,,,,,,.,.,.,., In addition, Billie is in talks with Tim Armstrong, the voice of Rancid, to extend the project ' armstrongs' well beyond the simple ' if there was ever a time ', and promote the documentary Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk , narrated by the legendary Iggy Pop. " it was one of the funniest collaborations that Tim and I made, and it's something we're seriously talking about to carry it further. Even the documentary was very laborious, now I can say that it took a long time because the bands and people involved release so much information about a cultural movement that today continues to transcend, which attracts children, who influence them, that is why it is Time to tell our story. We know that at the base of ours there was always unity, communion and support between brothers, as it should be now in the world ", added billie. http://www.excelsior.com.mx/funcion/2017/11/14/12010871 point
