You mistake the word ridiculous for fucking creepy and borderline obsessive.6 points

I’d rather see an entire page consisting of Michael Scott gifs than read that last page again. Uncomfortable isn’t the word.6 points

Or perhaps it was his dog walker? Have you cross referenced their profiles yet? I seriously hope that Billie never visits this page or reads this with his own eyes, or he might just rethink this whole social media idea, just because his fans can't keep it together.5 points

I love these pictures but it just makes me want a behind the scenes video even more.4 points

I think there’s a difference between having a joke about Billie and speculating that he’s cheating on his wife but that’s just me.4 points

I'm so sorry. I forgot how trolls in the past have been banned so easily for being trolls like yourself.4 points

To me "we don't have much" isn't literal, even in the context of the movie. I interpret it as meaning that the narrator's relationship comes with difficulties and challenges that mean it may never be truly fulfilling, but that it's "more than enough" regardless. It's not perfect, in fact quite the opposite, but they'd rather have that than anything else. It resonates with me a lot. My relationship might seem desirable to some people, but it's actually incredibly difficult because of external circumstances. Yet it's still more than enough and I'll "walk to the end of the earth and afar" before I give it up. Love the song, but I do find the movie extremely depressing4 points

^ Agreed (both that Billie Joe is hawt and that we need a behind the scenes video)! But, can we talk about Mr. Dirnt for a second because... How handsome can he get??3 points

???? You literally said this to me yesterday and I apologized and said I'd stop. There's no need to keep picking on me when I've already said I'll stop doing it. I love watching Billie get so into playing the guitar onstage, especially when Mike's next to him. You can really tell that performing with his best friends is his most favourite thing in the world.3 points

I can pick about 3 or 4 songs I genuinely like and will happily listen to on both 1039/Smooth and Kerplunk, I used to be all like 'oh yeah I love the older stuff it's so cool to like everything pre-Dookie' but now I can admit to not liking it all that much. It all sounds the same to me.3 points

You used 40 of the same emoji in one post? I know it became kind of a signature thing for you to use a lot of them but it needs to not be a thing anymore. It's a pretty simple request. So even one polite reminder about the rules on emoji use is enough for a childish off topic reaction only a couple of weeks after the thread was restarted in an attempt to keep it on topic and followable instead of a spam thread. The thread will be closed if this doesn't stop so I hope it's worth it. Also if you want to discuss this PM me please, I don't want another tiresome debate here. So, fangirling3 points

Why the fuck is this conversation still going on? Take it to PM if anyone still wants to continue, no more posts about it here please.2 points

I think stalking band members online and obsessing over their private lives to the point of making up rumors about him cheating on his wife or speculating on online boards about who he might have threesomes with kind of stretches the definition of "humor", but that's just my opinion2 points

I actually like the drumming on 1039 a fair bit, don't see why people are against it.1 point

GD in suits and sunglasses reminds me of Men in Black. GD have always looked so good in suits...1 point

Biggest shock ever: I wanted to listen to the new Ordinary World and BITUSA on Spotify but I forgot to turn off shuffle. So instead of BITUSA, Spotify suddenly started playing Nightlife1 point

Not my first visit to this thread, I’ve been lurking in the back pews for some time now. However, in light of God’s Favourite Band sharing their heavenly hits today I feel moved to confess ... I love this whole forum but I bloody love you lot and this thread.1 point

My fangirl response to the new video: how fricken adorable are they with their slicked back hair and suburban dad clothes??? Then the hot as hell suits. And Billie's little smile at the end??!! Love love love! I love it. I love them. My love for these men knows no bounds. ❤❤❤1 point

It could be a Christmas present with a note that says "From the GDA Fangirls". But then he would probably be afraid that there's a microchip hidden camera or something in them.1 point

I actually think it's a very interesting line in the context of the trilogy-era and the sad time that followed it. I always think of it as a kind of theme because they repeatedly use it on the trilogy (Oh Love, Stop When the Red Lights Flash and Dirty Rotten Batards). So retrospectively, for me it could mean that Billie probably knew he was pushing himself too far, he knew that things started to get out of control, he "saw the red lights flash", but he kept himself pushing. Many trilogy songs are very personal and deal with Billie's problems at that time, but I think they are also full of metaphors and not meant to be taken literally (Nightlife is another good example for the extensive use of metaphors). So I don't know, maybe I'm completely wrong, but I always found the thought interesting, and while I agree that some trilogy lyrics are cringeworthy for various reasons, I don't think they - and especially the red lights-line - are dumb.1 point

I gotta be honest here and say I absolutely love Walking Alone as well as every song on Nimrod. I don't know how to explain it, but Nimrod just makes me a feel a certain way when I listen to it. I know it's weird, but I feel like I connect with each song on a personal level in some way... Even though I have no idea what half these songs are even about. Especially Uptight.1 point

I love Reject. It’s catchy and has a funny story behind it. That line you quote was taken verbatim from his own letter to that angry parent complaining that they were trash. I loved his response, both the letter and the song.1 point
