  1. Guys, I give you a quick hello, I haven't got much time lately but I'm so happy to read this thread as usual . And fortunately Billie hasn't gone slimmer or less chiny on this leg of the tour, why on earth would he : As for the nose hair , as far as I'm concerned, he can let the gray take over.

  2. The one & only time hubby saw GD with me he talked for months afterwards about what an amazing frontman BJ is. We would be at bbqs at friends houses & he would bring up the topic of how great the concert was & how involved BJ got the crowd etc. Apart from BJ you get the entertainment value from all the other members on stage - I think thats what makes a GD concert unique.

  3. I bet Billie is partly loving the adoring crowds and partly can't wait to get home to Oakland where people hardly give him a second look on the street.

  4. I'm always so amazed by his voice in the second chorus of Whatsername, where you can hear the emotion as it comes through.

  5. Billie’s post is not his best effort is it?

  6. I love this pic so much. That smile tho. And I just wanna poke his little belly. He's so cute.

  7. Maybe the fans in South America are super crazy because GD haven't been there for 7 years and are making the most of them being there? And I love the new Instagram pictures Billie posted- especially the 5th one

  8. Yeah, in other pictures from the hotel there he looks like he’s loving it but then other times it’s just a little too crazy. I don’t remember the other legs of the tour being anything like this. It’s like Beatlemania, there are crowds at every hotel and at the airports. No wonder they always remember South America fondly, we only see a fraction of the craziness that they see and it is definitely different from Europe and the US where they meet small groups of polite fans here and there. I can’t believe the screams 😱

  9. Old photo, but I so wish that he had open all his shirt. ADHD people get bored fast. But I think he said it more like a joke this time, like a reason to make us «go away» so he could turn off his phone.

  10. I agree. They're so much more appreciative because they don't get the regular tour stops like the rest of the world. The rest of us (N America, Europe, Australia) take it for granted that they'll be somewhere near us. For Asia and S America it's possibly a once in a lifetime thing. I think the band know and appreciate that, but it's got to be exhausting at times.

  13. I went to a shop with mum and while we were standing there debating over a potential Christmas present (closely watched by one of the shop assistants), When It's Time started playing on the radio, of all songs... definitely a surprise. I got really excited about it for a moment and kept nudging poor mum and telling her to listen and that I never heard this song on the radio

  14. Me to my teenage daughter: “I’m really excited about the new Green Day song that’s coming out next week” TD: “Is their next record going to be their mid-life crisis record?” Me: “No they already went through a mid-life crisis in 2012” TD: “It’s really sad that you’re into a band that’s already past it’s mid-life crisis” 😂

  15. As to the Red Lights Flash discussion, just thought I'd throw it in that the phrase actually first appeared in their version of That's Alright Mama, the 21CB bonus track. I think that's honestly one of the best Trilogy songs.

  16. Tbh people only started worrying about every move Billie made and every sad thing he wrote after rehab . Like he always wrote about deep dark stuff but people just accepted that as part of expressing himself, never really saw a lot of worrying going on until we were given actual real life reason to. Not saying no one was concerned by any of his lyrics but it was kind of a different perspective before then, it's really only once you can see the parallels to real life events that it becomes more scary with hindsight.

  17. I keep reading that Billie cracked a rib pounding his chest with the microphone in Holiday. Is there a source or is this just another tumblr bullshit story?

  18. Now you have me doubting a little but i assumed because he said it during the gigs, it must be him in the recording.

  19. I haven't seen The Killers live, but judging from videos I can say Flowers is outstanding. And so is Billie. It's hard to comapare him with many others because he involves the crowd a lot more than most artists do.

  21. I doubt they'd need a police escort across town just because of fans outside the hotel and venue. I'd guess it's more a general security measure (some places are more dangerous than others) or even a traffic thing.

  26. How do you know it’s not in our hearts and minds at all times? 😛 Actually, I only discovered that song not too long ago when I first listened to Demolicious and Shenanigans (more recent superfan here). That and Suffocate kind of freaked me out. I’m glad I only heard them post rehab.

  28. Billie looks fabulous atm but I have to confess that I've been missing some chin action on this leg of the tour so far. The chin(s) must be there but the new haircut seems to distract from it/them

  29. ^^^ He looks so wonderful atm. Every time I see a new pic of him, it leaves me breathless. I don't think I'll ever be able to get used to his beauty.

  30. I just don't think everything relates to Billie's drinking/drugs . Like there might've been times he's smiled drunkenly but could hardly say that was the main factor in him smiling/not smiling on stage over the years.

  31. There is nothing more beautiful than Billie smiling. He smiled a lot this year. He is happy on stage. And he said so many times that RevRad was the best tour ever. It's the first time of his entire life that he both created an album (a very good one), promoted it and toured while being sober. We can be proud of him. Billie is in the right place in his life right now.

  32. He's been adorable and smiley on stage for a while (and pretty sure it was genuine and not just alcohol , it's been that way ever since he matured a bit and dropped some of the angry brat thing he had going on in the 90s and started embracing the fun of shows and the audience more with less of the sarcasm). But yeah it does seem extra on this tour! The whole band seems super happy.

  33. I agree with @G-L-O-R-I-A and @MillenniumFan, it feels like Billie has smiled more in the last year than in the previous 20 !

  34. @MillenniumFan thanks for posting those! Finally some good quality videos. Most of the ones from the SA shows have been pretty far away with poor sound. These capture some of his cutest stage bits (and the infamous crotch grabs) I loved the part in BOBD when he said “This is what I live for”. He may say a similar thing every night but still I believe that to be 100% from the heart. It’s must be an indescribable feeling to hear 15-20,000 people in cities all over the world singing your songs back to you with such passion. The SA crowds are extremely passionate and you can tell how much he’s loving them.

  36. I just got caught up with all of the South America tour stuff and HOLY SHIT Billie looks amazing with short hair. Don't get me wrong, his long hair looks good too, but I'm digging what he is doing with it right now

  37. Anyone know who took this video? I'm just curious. EDIT: Nevermind. Found it on The Interrupters Instagram.

  38. Totally, that's what Billie said it was about when it was almost on 21st CB and he gave some descriptions of the songs before it came out. He mentioned about how they're creepily exploited by their families as well, "old enough to bleed" also meaning old enough for the family/everyone who has a stake in their fame to exploit. Yeah I agree that's what the line means. And it could be a fling with a youthful person for sure, I just think it's more a generally lively and exciting person who could very well be young, but wouldn't necessarily have to be much younger. I've basically just never thought of it as a song about the character he had a fling with. But thinking about it maybe you're right and it could be loosely implied as being about her in the past/her background? That would work and would tie it in. Although there's other songs on there that don't really relate to the stories (eg 99 Revolutions) so who knows. I think that's the idea. It's about the creepy subject of young women being exploited so deliberately creepy imagery is used.

  39. Is it possible for him to be any dorkier? 😂😂😂

  40. Tre is my least favourite Trilogy album (the first five songs are some of my all time favourites and I like the rest, just less than Uno or Dos) but yeah, I've always liked Drama Queen. The "she's old enough to bleed now" line never bothered me, the only one I find a bit cringey is "she is so wet and reckless". I think the song works both with the original meaning (being about celebrities) but also how it fits into the theme of a relationship with a younger person on the Trilogy. I'd also love to know what the hell Billie is singing in the Demolicious version of Oh Love, but I don't suppose we ever will

  41. Lady Cobra is by far their best song. I know people will disagree with me, but man. It's so simple and effective. Story is that recently when I was drunk as fuck and listening this song, I wanted to make cover of it. I fell in love with those instruments and Billie's voice sounds extra fresh. Also very rare dual-solo with Jason and Billie + those lyrics.. I mean, look at this. ''I don't wanna make you cry Cross my heart and hope to die Drawin' blood and lonely stars Drink and kiss for cheap guitars I don't wanna suicide, I don't want this to end I just wanna be your friend Ah, your friend'' Add to that Lady Cobra doesn't sound like other Green Day songs and it has this quite unique feeling. I've been listening trilogy way too much; it still doesn't lose it's magic by overplaying it all the time. It just shows how much they loved to make these records, and I'm really thankful for that as a fan.
