I love the Instagram post that @redundanidiot posted. Alot of people always talks about how he looks so much younger than he is. I actually don't think that and I don't find people looking alot younger than they are attractive. I think it is so much more attractive to look good and look your age. Many people have done that, look at Jessica Lange as an example. She looks her age, but is still smoking hot. That is what Billie looks like in that instagram post. He is a smoking hot, sweaty, 45 year old guy. So - fucking - attractive.

The angle and the picture I chose make no difference: his new hairstyle is better than the helmet of hair that he had at Hyde Park. I do like seeing Billie with long hair, but I wasn't so keen on the shapeless helmet he had earlier this year. I'm very happy for him to keep his current style for a while #teamfluffyhair #teamshorthair

Speaking of classes, I'm lucky enough to attend one focusing on rock music history this semester and this week the teacher couldn't load his presentation, so he spent the time asking students what they think of the stuff he's covered so far (if it led them to listen to more albums by the artists he mentioned and so on). I wasn't really paying attention towards the end, and suddenly I hear a girl somewhere in the back of the classroom saying "I really enjoyed listening to the original versions of the Everly Brothers' songs because I only knew them from the album that Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones did together, which I love to listen to...." Of course, this immediately made me turn my head and inside I was like "who are you and why do we not know each other?!" Always nice to hear someone enjoys the same stuff (or knows it at all).

I agree. For a 45 years old man, he is in great shape. He can go shirtless and make every other men jealous. Billie's beautiful and it has been a long time since the last time he took off his shirt during a concert. Since it seems it isn't going to happen anytime soon (wishing that I'm wrong), so yeah me too I'm going to enjoy every bellie glimpses I can find.

^ I agree with you that he does look his age and looks good. On a different note, when you look at these two pictures, I can see that he looks his age in both of them, but his current hairstyle is much more flattering and suits the shape of his face better.

I hope he'll go shirtless on this tour at least once but as I don't really see it happen, I am enjoying at least the bellie glimpses right now Also, I find it really funny and cute that his pants can look both nicely and tight fitted as well as baggy in one and the same concert He's really mysterious

I agree, though I do think there are sometimes photos where he looks closer to like 38. And I think there’s the allusion that he’s younger just from his behavior (and his height). But mostly he just looks good for his age and I think that’s why people think he looks younger. Not all 45 year olds look like they’re only 45 and I think people forget that 45 isn’t that old anyway. Honestly, it’s amazing that he doesn’t look older than his age considering all he’s put his body through. There is one (I think) recent photo though where he does look bizarrely really young, like early to mid 30s. I’ll post it if I find it, but it’s the one they took with kitchen staff of some restaurant and Tre is only visible by his hair behind Billie.

I think he’s enjoying it all now, at least it seems like he’s trying really hard to. Although I know in one interview from 21CB period he said if he could go back to his earlier self he would tell himself to enjoy it all more. He may be talking about his 90’s period when it was all making him pretty depressed. He regrets that now. Age will do that, it will make you start to appreciate things and wish you had done that more in your youth.

They're my least favorite parts of the video that's for sure, but that's mainly because I will prefer staring at Billie for three and a half minutes over just about anything

His bellie looks so perfect in that first pic. Also, I love hearing him sing Still Breathing live. The fact that he seems so vulnerable as he sings the first verse and then he becomes so powerful as he belts out the chorus. He's such an amazing performer.

Billie looks in great shape, these pictures make me so happy! The new hair is surprisingly short but also surprisingly good on him as soon as it goes wild and sweaty. And indeed we can see his face very well, such a blessing, every millimeter of it is beautiful.

I love nerd Billie from the Holiday vid. . He looks hawt. But I've always had an attraction to nerds 😕 They are my people, lol. The new hair is awesome. I think it's really flattering and I love that we can see his whole adorable little face. I would be ok with a little more fluff or spikiness but lately his hair was just too much for him. It was looking very hobbity and grandmaish. Having said that, he really is beautiful regardless what his hair looks like. I just love him so much.

Funny that you so many of you have school-related stories this week. On Wednesday I found a picture of Billie in a magazine we read in my English class. It had an article about gender identity and sexual orientation that included Billie's quote about being bisexual. The magazine sucks so it's a very pleasant surprise. But they could have chosen a better photo than the one from iheart they used though.

^^^ Ah there it is, the infamous “about 5’8” 145 lbs” interview 😂. There were a lot if gems in that one. “Look at those tattoos! Your dad is crazy!!” It’s also one big alcoholic cautionary tale with DUIs, drinking Robitussin and peeing in closets. This interview has it all. Thanks for finding it.

Just to go back to the discussion about Billie’s lyrics for a minute, I think he writes differently at different times, sometimes very directly, others more obscurely, sometimes very personally, others more generally but I think he does all very well, and even when it’s personal, he still makes them relatable. It appears that he often writes when alone, he has said he often comes up with lyrics walking on his own, so I guess there will be many moods and factors affecting his writing. Somebody said a page back about him maybe feeling too self-conscious when it came to making a video of a very personal song and that is a really good point. My first thought when I saw the b/w pic from Sara’s IG with the plane, was that Billie didn’t look all that comfortable with it, I wonder if he still can’t quite believe the level of success etc and sometimes needs to draw back a little, almost as if he is protecting himself. I know there is also the great photo of all three of them obviously having fun with it, I think it appears sometimes that Mike and Tre bring him out of himself so he can enjoy it all. His introspective periods may mean “get ready for another nude photo coming shirtly” - complex character I feel. I could be talking bollocks of course

I would absolutely love any song from Shenanigans to replace LRI, but no way in hell could I replace Take Back. TB is in my top 20 GD songs and the only song on Shenanigans that comes close to it is Ha Ha You're Dead, imo.

I love Shenanigans but I don’t listen to it often enough because I forget it exists. Billie has an old tweet where he says he wishes Suffocate and Densitized had been on Nimrod and I agree. They would have made great substitutes for Last Ride In and Take Back can you imagine?

Been really busy so had quite a bit to catch up on but had to say I love the short hair, think it’s flattering but I agree with @Scattered Wreck he does look his age, he’s just ageing beautifully. Not sure I like the hair very slicked down but maybe it’s just been sweaty which, of course, makes it a whole different thing They all look so great and so happy, they are like an antidote to all the shit in the world just now, good to see them having so much fun We were at a friend’s band’s show last night and they asked my husband to take some photos for them, after taking a few he asked me what I thought, turned the viewfinder ti me, and there was Billie! I nearly died! He’d only taken a photo of my calendar, it was pretty funny but a few of the ladies at the table who didn’t know me well were saying “WHO is that!!,” and we’re going home to look for more!

Yes, however, I think it's not a bad thing that he's avoided talking about himself. It's good that he lets the songs speak for themselves so everyone can have their own interpretation. It's much better than being the guy who always sings and talks about himself. He got rid of the characters, but his writing is usually still abstract enough that it's not just about him (most of the "personal" revrad songs are rather abstract) or they're not so clearly about him that you'd notice if you didn't know what to look for.

Yeah possibly, although I'd guess it was more the director's choice since GD generally seem to leave it to them and not have much creative input themselves. Still I'm really impressed that they acted an emotional scene in the video even if it isn't the whole thing. I love it when music acts do that instead of just playing the song and getting actors in for the acting part.

Probably because he was determined that the song would have a universal message and not just be all about him. So many people connect with the song for their own personal reasons I think they just wanted the video to illustrate that.
