I remembered something cute the other day. I was super close to my grandpa because he pretty much raised me in place of my dad. I would have loved to share Green Day with him but he was a bit too old to really get it - his comments were things like "he needs to cut his hair", "I didn't buy that magazine, it only had the drummer in it" and I once asked him if he could write a poem (he was a published poet) similar to Song of the Century and he just gave me the lyrics back with notes about how they were grammatically incorrect But when I was 13 I drew up the album art from 21st Century Breakdown and wrote my interpretations of the songs/story on the back. He really took the time to read and comment on them and specifically said he loved Christian's Inferno and Last Night on Earth. My interpretation (then) was that in Christian's Inferno, Christian is in such a state of self-destruction that he ignores everything in his efforts to destroy himself and his life, even blaming some of it on Gloria. Then Last Night on Earth is his apology and reassurance that the one thing she should never second guess is his love for her, no matter how destructive he becomes. I'd totally forgotten until I listened to it the other day that one of the things my grandpa really took in about Green Day was that interpretation, and how much he loved it. I guess it resonated with him somehow. Or not, maybe he was just glad he actually understood something I was saying about these stupid American men. Either way I'm glad I remembered it and I'm going to think of him every time I hear those songs now.6 points

I love how Billie tells everybody to put their phones away at gigs, but then he records three different bands.5 points

I agree. He probably caught the people he landed on by surprise but I doubt he hit the floor. They probably just caught him further down. As long as the place was relatively packed, he’s be good. And lucky for those kids, he’s not a very big dude!4 points

Just realised I didn’t read the whole caption, was too capivated by that little human catapulting himself off the stage but now realised that it makes it quite clear it’s Billie. Hope he had a safe landing4 points

Considering it seems to be the shirt he was wearing in his own pic ( by God, I was SHOOK after I found out I had mixed up father and son), in addition to the caption, I think we can safely assume that it's Billie. Oh, that wild, tiny human.4 points

Scott Weiland's children featured WMUWSE in their playlist for their dad's 50th birthday https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10155650802287906&id=1349141229053 points

This! He literally just catapulted himself onto a bunch of unsuspecting children. The most terrifying thing you'll see this Halloween.2 points

I think he's getting ready for the wild crowds and concerts in South America haha2 points

The Demolicious version of Baby Eyes is so damn good. They really should've kept that bass intro.2 points

Time to post the diagrams again Conclusion: Tre ~5'6", Billie ~5'7", Mike ~5'9" or 5'10"2 points

Billie said he was 5'7" in an interview back in 1998, it was the interview where they introduced the redundant video a few hours before they did the Live at the 10 spot concert2 points

they have their own plane now? why did my mind instantly jump to the plane from the kerplunk story2 points
-
I don't know if the plane really belongs to the band or if it is just a way to promote RevRad, but this is very cool: Some bands have their own planes while others don't. Sometimes, some planes are just painted to promote something (I once saw a plane on tv promoting Pikachu/Pokémon.) If this was the band's plane, what was it doing in Goose Bay on the tarmac of a Canadian military airport?2 points

God, I thought that was nuts before I realised it was Billie, he really is wild! I guess he must be ok or they would be on their way to casualty instead of posting pics lol - how insane to be in the audience and catch him! Risky though, maybe he just couldn’t resist it after years of watching.1 point
-
I'm presuming he's okay - I don't think Adie would've posted it otherwise.1 point

Just watched 80s post and I was like that looks like Billie but can’t be can it? But general consensus seems it is. He looked like a rag doll. What a crazy guy! Don’t think he’s getting any less wild in his mature years1 point
-
Yeah 5'7 seems to be accurate, but he looks smaller because he's petite in general and has particularly short legs He also said he was "about 5'8" in 2010 but that's because he's a fibber1 point

I got Bullet in a Bible from a market/garage sale a few weeks ago. $8, so it was a good deal.1 point

I'm pretty sure discussion about Mt. Eddy and their songs would belong in another topic as they are an entirely different band to Green Day.1 point

Adrienne just posted a live video of Mt. Eddy at Uncool Halloween. I love Metaphor. Cool song and Jakob has a cool voice.1 point
