  1. Remember the pregnant girl in Quebec City who got on stage and Billie gave the guitar to the baby? Here is the video for you to remember: Well, now, here is an article about the baby and the guitar with pictures of both! (The article is in french, sorry.) http://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2017/10/20/green-day-donne-une-guitare-a-un-bebe-quebecois In resume, Alexandra was 14 weeks pregnant when she went to the concert. She gave birth a few weeks ago. The baby is girl and she was named Emilie-Joe. Alexandra will give the guitar to Emilie-Joe when she will be older just like Billie asked.

  2. I wish Billie would play the piano, or even just acoustic more often. Like, imagine an emotional piano rendition of Still Breathing. Stray Heart would be a completely different song. I'm sure it would anger a lot of people but I'd like it

  4. So, I saw Green Day 6 weeks ago and man... I am STILL amazed(I cannot get over how close I was it was awesome)that I was in the 2nd row of the pit and the experience of that was so much fun. Especially being around all other people who are fans and having as much fun as you are.

  5. I agree with this so much. When I first became a more intense fan I couldn't understand how they have sooo much content (interviews, sessions etc,) and yet virtually no acoustic performances with just Billie other than when he plays one or two songs at the end of a concert. One of my other favorite bands has done so many acoustic songs for radio sessions or in stores that you could practically recreate some of their albums as all acoustic if you download them all. Not that I think mike and Tre should be excluded from things but there's something really moving about watching a singer sing their lyrics with just an acoustic or a piano in a small setting. You can get a different performance from them emotionally often times. Ugh, I wish he'd do this.

  7. I thought it sounded weird at first, but now I'm ok with it. I guess I'm too much used to hear or read «Billie Joe» everyday. I'm imagining the kid later explaining at school why her name is Emilie-JOE. I sent the article on Twitter to Billie. I hope he sees it. It would be great if he sees it and reactes to it.

  8. That's what got me thinking about it too. It seems like all my other favourite artists have done so many acoustic performances in comparison, and it really can be a different listening experience that gives the songs another dimension. I don't expect him to go around playing all acoustic sets or anything (though I wouldn't mind), but a few radio performances would be great. We can dream!

  9. Posting a picture in the fangirls thread of Billie playing the drums has made me think of this: Its great when Billie and Tre switch places with each other, but I want see what happens if Billie switches with Mike, or Mike with Tre? I don't know how good/bad Mike would be on the drums but it would be interesting/funny to see him try

  12. I've been to the 2nd edition of Download Festival in France in June to see Green Day. Don't know if this would be very resemblant elsewhere, but here's what I can tell: The festival lasted 3 days, Friday 9th to Sunday 11th; there were 4 stages: main stages 1 and 2, medium and little, so there could be up to 4 bands performing at the same time. To give you an idea of the bands that performed and the music genres that predominated: on day 1: Linkin Park, Blink-182, Pierce The Veil, Gojira; on day 2: System Of A Down, Slayer, Paradise Lost; on day 3: Green Day, Rancid, Suicidal Tendencies, Prophets Of Rage. Green Day were the closing act, performing last on Sunday; when they came on main stage 1 at 8 pm, Prophets of Rage had just begun performing on main stage 2. So at first people had to choose between both, but as Green Day's set was longer, everyone could watch them by the middle of their set. Even though the audience were mostly hardcore metal / punk dudes (I managed to stick on front row all afternoon but it was really scary), and Green Day's music was a cut with most of the other bands, most people chose to see Green Day instead of POR from the start

  14. It was December hence the outfit. My memory of when he posted that picture was that it pissed off a lot of people on Facebook etc not only because Billie and Mike had been actively posting about stopping the NRA and gun control following Sandy Hook but there were a lot of people who actually had guns and were pro gun ownership etc who were annoyed at the irresponsible way Sara was pointing a gun at the photographer and the message that was sending out especially with a teenager there. At some point the santa outfit got overlooked by the majority of people to be honest.

  15. Yes! This is my 3rd year marching! When they announced were were going to do a Green Day show I flipped out! (We are honestly awful this year haha. It's going to be weird not traveling to Atlanta for the SEC championship...but at least I'll be able to focus on school a little bit more!)

  16. Got my Nimrod shirt and vinyl today, so put the album on in the car. The journey lasted the whole album, no skips, and it was such a nice feeling to hear it all in order. I love that album so much
