No, that's not correct. I hope we don't see much of FBHT because that represents a portion of Billie's life that involves a ton of alcohol and amphetamines. Yes, it's all about the music but sometimes the music is a button. FBHT involves a lot of Billie fucked out of his mind, half naked, sweaty, wet, raging and out of his mind. Have you been to a FBHT show, it's not a sober experience. That said, im sure we will see them again and im stoned and rambling but food for thought. Also, I just wanted to say there was a time, if im being honest that I was embarrassed to say how much I truly care and love so many people here I never met. I've met probably 10 or so people from here but the 100s I consider friends, I wanted to let you know I love you all. If I died tomorrow, I would be upset without declaring that. As Billie often says, we do need to love each other. Not just our brothers and sisters and our life friends but the random world like you guys. Have to go back to watching my Gators now and then another wrap party tonight but I love you guys. Truly and really and absolutely fucking love you. Most of you anyway.13 points

You say it's them performing their own songs as if that's a bad thing The fun of it is in the environment I guess. It's not just a standard interview on a sofa or a performance on stage, they're encouraged to have a bit of fun and then James will ask them some specific questions about songs that feature and I guess the hope is for more candid answers due to the informality of the set up. If the guys were able to do it without being self-concious I think it could be really funny and there is also the fact that the videos on YT always go viral so it's great publicity too.7 points

I love Kill the DJ! It's not just one of my favourites from the trilogy, it's one of my favourites from GD's entire back catalogue. And I like Nightlife too.4 points

Sorry. Just took a look at this thread for the first time ever. I got this far and wondered how many fucks does it take to get to the center of a Green Day album?3 points

The Oakland and Austin shows from 2013 and 14 are on YouTube so you donβt have to imagine what they look like. Still lively, fun shows just with more water and less beer. He proved he can do it at least. Still crowd surfs too (just not every 5 minutes π) and plays SD&R on endless repeat.3 points

I don't want to worry you, Tre, but the brown note is only a theory, so your little accident is not The Chainsmokers' fault3 points

I love it when Billie tweets random thoughts. He was probably munching on a snack watching t.v when they mentioned trump. Suddenly it dawns on him that trump is still the president. His smile fades. He puts down the food. No ones around to listen to him. He wipes his greasy hands on his pants (he does this. He's gross) and takes out his phone to let us know his random thought instead.3 points

It must be controversial so I'm gonna say Good Riddance and Take Back2 points

That's funny because Roshambo is actually the only Network song I'm not keen on I love the rest of the album though. Trust me, this isn't an unpopular opinion2 points
-
It's a matter of taste of course! I personally love it. It's not marketed as a performance, it's just them having fun and an excuse for James to bring something up about the song (for example in the Gwen Stefani episode he was able to ask about some lyrics in one of the songs.) Them singing over their own recordings is why it's called karaoke instead of a performance, I guess.2 points

I wouldn't say they're the best of the trilogy, but they're damn good. Kill the DJ is actually what got me excited for those albums. Oh Love as a single?2 points

It's never been that often to be fair, they played a mini 10 show tour in 2008 and have played a grand total of 7 (proper) shows since then. I think Billie's shown he's more than capable of playing a FBHT show sober, it's more about playing the Rev character than the drink and he can do it with or without it.2 points

Exactly five years ago, Green Day land was a really fucking tough and scary place to be. Fast forward to last night, which was possibly my favorite night seeing them in all the time I've loved them. I am so fucking proud of them for coming out of that time happy, healthy, and kicking more ass than ever. I'm really proud of all of us for making it through the good, the bad, and the ugly together, too. I'm eternally grateful to have this band in my life. They've got me forever at this point, lol.1 point

What the hell does woke mean? I'm having mixed feelings about Billie wasting his twitter breath on Trump. Hopefully he'll have plenty of time for sharing all kinds of random thoughts over the next weeks though1 point

Am I the only one that doesn't get Carpool Karaoke? When I first heard of it, I thought oh it's artists performer other people's songs. And it's just them performing their own songs. It's kind of boring. Every now and then there'll be a good one, like Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, or Bruno Mars.1 point
-
Oh, that's kind of what I think of ''21 Guns''. Because, whenever I ask a stranger if they know Green Day and they say yes (and I'm of course initially excited), that exact excitement instantly dies when they say: I know like ''21 Guns'' or that ''I walk alone'' song. Or people that say their favorite song by Green Day is ''21 Guns''... Really? Seriously? That song? Not any of the others? etc. etc. haha1 point
