  1. I just got some amazing news. Not sharing it. Don't ask. I know I am a dick for even posting this but I just go the coolest Green Day news I've heard in a long time. :evil smile: I totally know how dick it is to post this and I wish so bad I could share it with you but alas I cannot. You don't know so don't make shit up and put it on me. Mods feel free to erase this since it literally has zero substance in the post. Bill Joe sounds like someone that is complaining about losing their coal mining job somewhere in Alabama. "Hey dare. Muh name is Bill Joe and I would love if you could write to your Semator, it's called a semator right Eva? Eva is my half sister, and wife. Say "Hi" Eva. 'Hi everyone, just wan.....' Woman, I didn't nuttin but to say hi. Dis is da kinda stuff I gotsta deal wit. Anyhoot, Bill Joe out. Need me sum money before the g'ment comes and TAKE MUH JOB".

  6. I can't. Shit gets around too easily and fast from here. Learned lesson on something a little more broad based, thank God. I know it was a goofy post to post nothing but I had to share it somehow. LOL. I have never once said I am not an asshole. LOL! I wrote "I learned my lesson" before reading your message @pacejunkie punk , but yeah, did. Even without, I TBH, I wouldn't post this info. Anyway, let's move on because I won't post it and now I feel like a bigger dick than when I posted nothing. Ha! I'll tell you what the THING is once it okay too and everyone knows, I'll let you know what thing it was. I know right, great. Lol. What a cruel cocksucker, I know. As for whether they will announce during TV spots, 1) I am not privy to what they will be announcing or not at their TV appearances. I think Bill Joe rolls off the tongue, kind of nice. I would love to see the reaction to this sentence in the estrogen filled Fan Girls thread.

  7. @LaughingClock !!!!!! How dare you learn your lesson? 馃槀馃槀馃槀馃槀馃槀 Seriously though, you suck right now 馃槩 So can you at least say if an announcement is forthcoming with these tv appearances?

  10. During one of the lineups this past week security came by to tell us we can't stay here and to warn us the cops were coming. He ended up staying and chatting with us. He brought up the point of "isn't it basically the same show anyways? you can probably name over 90% of the songs they will play" I then asked him if he goes for a walk every morning on the same path because he probably enjoys it. He said he does. I said a Green Day show is similar. We enjoy their shows and we look forward to any songs they may play because that possibility always exist. He understood after that explanation. P.S. He walked by us at the end of the show and gave me a setlist. Shout out to you security dude!

  11. The approaching fall weather is making me feel some kinda way. All I can think about is my solo road trip last fall to see green day in Detroit on the small club tour. For whatever reason, there has always been a very strong connection in my life between music and the seasons. The trip had me terrified because I have bad social anxiety and going alone on a 2+ hour road trip to a show where I wouldn't know anyone was extremely difficult for me. But on the other hand, when I pulled it off without a hitch, it was the most exhilarating and rewarding feeling and sometimes I find myself desperate to experience it all again.

  13. I really love that about all of them (the band, wives, families, etc). They manage to be mature enough to handle their lives but they don't buy into the myth that you need to behave a certain way or give up certain things just because of your age.

  19. @-Billiejoezee- Well, it was the last regular Insomniac song in the setlist. I respect your opinion, but yeah, I disagree haha And I certainly wouldn't complain if they played other songs from Insomniac (like the gems: Panic Song, No Pride, Stuart Ave, Walking Contradiction etc.). But if Brain Stew is the only song they're willing to play from Insomniac, I'd rather hear that than nothing. Also, I love Jaded, but I really think it works best with Brain Stew. Plus the flame effect that they had in that song during the AI and 21CB tours was really amazing!

  24. Since hearing Like A Rat Does Cheese and being aware that a load of the lyrics are from late 80s/early 90s gangsta rap songs I've been sure that more than just the ones I recognised (if not the entire song) must be from rap songs as well, but it's hard to find out which ones when it's not exact quotes. Anyway I've just discovered the source of "Put my nuts in your mouth bitch like you was a squirrel" - totally paraphrased from "She keeps nuts in her mouth like the bitch was a squirrel" in Ice Cube's 1991 track Giving Up the Nappy Dugout. Adding that to the list with "nibble on my dick like a rat does cheese" (We Want Some Pussy by 2 Live Crew), "suck my dick until your lips fall off" (Fuck 'Em by the Geto Boys) and "just don't bite it"/"get it all" (She Swallowed It by NWA) . One day I'll figure out the whole song.

  25. Good security can make or break a show experience honestly. At my Tampa one, this one guy let three of us sit in an air conditioned shack for a while. (It was hot outside, it's Florida, we were going on 3 or 4 hours of waiting) His supervisor eventually made us leave, but it was definitely helpful considering that, even after we got that, we were still dying by the end of it all.

  28. It鈥檚 my one year GDC anniversary today! I鈥檝e loved spending this past year with you guys. Since the RevRad era is winding down (I refuse to say over since we still have the shows in Central Park and Latin America), I figured this would be the perfect time to reflect on the past year. What this era has given me- 路 Awesome music (duh) 路 I鈥檝e attended three shows, from the club show at the Aragon, where I made eye contact with Billie (I鈥檓 sure those around me thought that smile was for them, but no, it was all for me), to being in the pit at Wrigley (still amazed I, as a Sox fan, was not struck down upon entering), to being in the seats at the Oakland Coliseum 路 I went to Oakland and Berkeley, where I got to see the Green Day sites, such as Gilman (and saw Turn It Around and said hi to Corbett Redford right before going there), the Longview house, Stuart and the Ave, Billie鈥檚 guitar shop, Mike鈥檚 restaurants, among many others What the era has given all of us- 路 Awesome music (again, duh) 路 You could say the era started with the release of Bang Bang or with the guys getting the EMA Global Icon Award. The world was a more innocent and hopeful place, and didn鈥檛 know what was coming in a few weeks, but in return we鈥檇 get 路 No Trump, No KKK, No fascist USA 路 We got the guys on Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, Corden, Ellen, and Good Morning America (WTF SNL? Green Day would have been the perfect guest for the election season) 路 We got a number one album with two songs topping the Alternative rock chart, the first time for them since American Idiot 路 The guys becoming more active on social media, Facebook lives, Instagram lives, and the return of Twitter 路 Puppets, where鈥檚 the button that makes you go away, and #shutupgreg 路 We got a Q101 interview that gave @SHART a new name and led us to all learn more about Prednisone 路 We got long hair, short hair, fluffy hair, straight hair, curly hair, and blue hair 路 We got increasing eye liner, nail polish, and new teeth 路 We got leather jackets, denim jackets, blazers, vests, bandanas, the return of the red tie, ruffled shirts, polka dot shirts, striped shirts, black shirts, red shirts, and not enough t-shirts 路 With the debut of the unofficial Troubled Times video and Billie doing the things we discussed, we learned Green Day hangs out here and likes us better than Idiot Nation 路 We got the best St. Patrick鈥檚 Day present ever, the legendary naked window picture 路 We got to see the guys happier and healthier than ever 路 We got to see the kindness and generosity of the band, and their love of their fans, not only through the hurricane fundraiser, but also every night on stage, with dozens of guitars given out, hundreds of people getting their moment of time to shine in the spotlight, and tens of thousands of people coming together to sing, smile, laugh, and cry along with the guys I鈥檝e listed Green Day as one of my favorite bands since I was a teen in the mid-90s. My level of fandom has varied over the years, but it has never been higher than it is now. I was brought back to the band by a comment I read on a Fleetwood Mac message board, where someone posted that a co-worker of hers in his mid-30s had heard Bang Bang and that it had renewed his love for the band. That made me check it out. I am forever grateful that I read that comment; without it, this past year would have been much emptier. Looking forward to spending the next era with you guys! May it come quickly. And, hey, Billie- since we know you鈥檙e reading this- how about that FBHT tour? And if there could be a stop in Chicago, that鈥檇 be great. In honor of my one year anniversary, here's the full version of my profile pic that I took at the Aragon last year.

  33. Ehh it's the one song I don't like. I love jaded I just don't like brain stew. Always saw it as a litrle stain on a otherwise perfect album, (insomniac is my favorite album) I know it's a vrry unpopular opinion because everyone loves it I haven't thought of that, it being the last song from insomniac they've played. Although not exactly true, I've heard them play Armatage shanks at three of my shows so it's been a wonderful trade if they've traded it for brain stew for now on!

  36. I've definitely seen him at other shows, it says he was with them from 2004 to 2005/for the tour on his and GD's wiki pages, and they introduced him as part of the band, so yeah. He was in the background so easy not to notice.

  39. Yeah, I've been binge watching a Youtube video of that performance (video you've probably seen if you've been looking for it ). I had already listened to the song on the album, and I was so pleasantly surprised to see they played it! (I was saying to myself: it seems so hard to play live! Obviously I didn't know then what the guys, especially Billie, were capable of ) I still find it to be one of the most impressive performances of Forever Now.

  43. Agree it's a bit weird, but I'm sure they don't mean it like that. It's got to be a special feeling to be done with the final "home" leg and ahead of a long break. I'm 100% certain they're super excited about your shows too
