Billie singing KFAD during soundcheck on Instagram was the best thing ever! He's pretty coordinated to sing, film and chew his gum all at the same time.5 points

And the three of them are so funny and have personalities that are made for social media. If they put just a little effort into it they'd be great. You're right @melissi_unicorn that's an essential part of self promotion these days. I don't want a trailer for the revrad tour, I want a Q&A or a funny tweet or livestream. I want to know how they spend their downtime and see them just messing around. Some of the recent things we've seen have been pretty good, they have me checking the sites all day for updates.4 points

This. And it's all about visibility. Green Day are definitely a force to be reckoned with, but I feel that - even though Rev Rad blew my mind - they have reached a point in their career at which they either decide to become one of those "oldish" bands that are respected for what they have achieved, but not very relevant to young kids, or they get down from their high horse and go meet the masses. And the masses are on social media nowadays, and they aren't satisfied with half-baked promo accounts. Let's be honest, most of the kids have no idea who Green Day are or that they released a new album. Hell, even older people don't really know. All the new bands have grown up with social media just like their fans and they automatically communicate with them there about every single aspect of their lives. That's the reality of the business. How could a band like Green Day ever keep up without a change of strategy? And this came way too late. As you already pointed out, this should've started when RevRad was released, but anywho, we take what we get :-D4 points

Billie was adorable but I think recording and singing was a challenge because it looked like he almost fell down the stairs. ๐ฑ๐4 points

So do I. But man, I will certainly look sharp in my Green Day t-shirts while homeless and living on the streets!3 points

The more Insomniac, the better. If they played it fully for its 25th anniversary in 2020 I could die happy.3 points

You're my guy! Lady Cobra is so much fun. Most people just don't seem to get it, but you're not alone in thinking it's awesome.3 points

I feel like each guy has taken on an aspect of a dorky dad now. Billie's got the Dorky dad jokes, Mike's got the Dorky Dad dance moves, Jason's got the Dorky Dad instagram captions. Dunno what Tre does that's dorky though he's probably just the cool dad3 points

Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if they were made to wait in line though.... I bet the parks want them through and out asap3 points

I AM DYING FROM CUTENESS OVERLOAD WTF?!?! Everytime the kid went to hug Billie I went "d'awwwwwww" That is funny to see an 11 year old sing it though.3 points

I want whatever the f**k Billie was doing at the beginning to be the definite start / beginning of KFAD LOL. Do it guys and I'll reconsider how much I like KFAD haha...2 points

Yeah, I agree, I'd love to hear some different songs the next tour. But I'd still enjoy the concert if they played the exact same setlist. It just works, especially for the big crowds. I think the people at the Hurricane Festival (which I attended) really liked the performance of King for a day (and even the medley).2 points

Yup. That's pretty much it, especially if you've seen them several times. I think we lucked out on the club tour because they actually did songs from Nimrod, but looking at the setlist for this tour leg is like wow...I'm not missing anything. That's not to say that if I saw them again this year I wouldn't love every minute of it because they kick ass live, but some spontaneity would be nice.2 points

I think most people like it. People just wish it would occasionally get changed up a bit2 points

Thank you! It's an awesome video. This kid is so funny too watch. He enjoyed giving hugs to Billie a lot! And lol at Billie who walked with the kid in his arms during the second hug. Precious moment! By the way, the kid seemed to have study well how Billie Joe acts on stage. He acted just like Billie does. That's a future rock star.2 points

This one has been quite popular on my tumblr so thought I'd pop it in here too - it's such a cute photo of Billie and Mike2 points

Dos is the cd I keep in my car CD player. It's the back up in case my phone is about to die . I can't stand the "mmmmhhmmhmmms" or the "OooOooOOOoos" in Ordinary World!2 points

Special for GDCers who want setlist change I think the band really enjoy this song... Or they just need to do the saxophone soundcheck2 points

Oh my god that's the cutest!!! Talk about owning the stage It looks like Jason covered his ears when he sang the masturbation line lol KFAD soundcheck live on instagram2 points

Ha, I never normally visit this thread as I'm not always very objective about my boys, however, I too really like Dos. I don't think it's their best work but I think it's kind of loose and sexy, that's the best way I can describe it2 points

I fucking love ยกDos!. I'm seriously not trolling or anything, it has became my favorite Green Day album for sure; Fuck Time, Stop When The Red Lights Flash, Lazy Bones, Makeout Party, Ashley, Lady Cobra, Nightlife, Wow! That's Loud.. of course Wild One, Amy and See You Tonight are good too, but not as good as previously listed. Especially Lady Cobra and Makeout Party are THE TRACKS that I listen daily. Sure, the lyrics aren't as creative as it was on 21CB, but goddamn, they really know how to rock and roll. Kind of odd seeing this album as ''the worst GD album ever'' when I really love it, but I guess I have different taste. So, that was my first post. I like to lurk mostly, but someday I may post another comment.2 points

It's one of my favorites too. And I'm like you, I think song order is important and as part of the album experience I like to listen to the albums front to back as intended. It's the only way I can listen to 21CB and RevRad too has a very purposeful song order that I love. It may not be a concept album but the song order does tell a story in a way about Billie's thoughts and feelings from one given moment to the next, shifting from the personal to the social to the political to the nostalgic and back again. I love the song order of that album. ๐1 point
