Bang Bang is a year old. Damn, the time has flown by. A whole year, and I still love it just as much as I did when it came out, if not more. Best year of my life.5 points

I miss seeing posts from @End Of The World. He didn't post for very long, but his posts were always well reasoned and seemingly quite appreciated here.4 points

Ever since the Fell For You remix I've been listening to the Trilogy a lot.4 points

I can't believe it's officially been a year since we got Bang Bang I'll never forget hearing it on the radio for the first time, what a great day... and then having it on repeat for days and not getting sick of it. Still not tired of it now, whenever I put it on it brings back the happy feeling of hearing it for the first time2 points

Happy 1st Birthday Bang Bang! Can't believe its already a year since Bang Bang came out.2 points

Same! Especially Uno. I feel like the remix has made me rediscover the trilogy and I've found some really good songs that I didn't really pay attention to before.2 points

^Fucking hell man, people that don't know how to spell Billie's name should just refrain from talking about him all together.2 points

Haha I think you hit the nail on the head. I mean it's one thing to be like "look the car is indestructible" but it's not good promotion to have him say "fuck your Subaru" or whatever he said. Maybe they asked him to mention Subaru on stage and this was how he decided to handle it, haha.2 points
-
I don't know who's really promoted by it though, doesn't exactly make Subaru look good to have someone imply their cars are only worthy of being smashed and Billie failed to smash it so doesn't exactly make him look impressive either2 points

Billie's Instagram Lives are my favorite. Damn they're cute. But dear, don't try to smash a car window unless you can do it successfully. Stop embarrassing me.2 points

Even my 10 year old nephew with a child's view of time couldn't believe it's been a year when I told him . With so much good stuff from GD in that time it's flown by. Still feels like a new song/album and I still listen to it on an almost daily basis.1 point

I can attest to this And I agree. And we know Billie has an affinity for certain words that pop up all the time in his songwriting.1 point

I can understand the office reference, I thought it's just a joke. Their "job" is much more interesting and adventurous than sitting in a room, fighting over airco and stuff... The song titles/lyrics thing: It's probably inspiration. I don't see anything into this, although it's somewhat remarkable. You just cannot erase all the lyrics and songs you wrote; they might pop up in different contexts later and still have influence on you. Language is beautiful after all.1 point

LOL I think someone is obsessed with Instagram live and likes it! I like how he interviewed backstage people that we would never get to see or even know about.1 point

You can see it in the link above. The funny thing is the car is on a platform and it looks like he can barely reach it and he gives up after a few whacks at the doors. I'm sure he was hoping to smash the windows. 😂1 point

Maybe they ought to try selling the guitar instead with a free classic car thrown in.1 point

I'm always just blown away by how different JOS sounds compared to anything else in their catalog. Even compared to everything else on AI. It just sounds so huge and epic, and Dearly Beloved is so understated and beautiful, and the ending solo is so joyful and full of freedom that I almost can't take it. The production is so spectacular, it blows anything else they've ever done away.1 point

It only really struck me yesterday how incredible the lyrics of Jesus Of Suburbia are. Obviously loads of people love the "home is where the heart is" line, but every single verse speaks to me on some level. For a song with so many lines to be so consistently great lyrically is just mindblowing. There's just so much that seems to get overlooked due to its length. Plus the craftsmanship in putting so many "soundbite" type lines together and making it not seem over the top is admirable.1 point
