  1. My show I'm going to (Cleveland) is two weeks from today! I need y'all to send me all the good Green Day vibes that this baby doesn't come early and make me miss it! I just might hold it against her forever if she does 😂

  2. I hope that's not an unpopular opinion. It was an epic moment when that song was played during the 21CB tour and then moments later the boys came out to play 21st Century Breakdown. <3

  3. The 80 nickname specifically comes from the Bay Bridge which the 80 highway runs through. The band have talked about how the sight of the bridge reminded them they were coming home after gruelling tours and Billie of how his dad was a truck driver with the same experience. It's also one of the only sights Oakland is known for. So the number 80 was already special to him and then when he saw the sign/bridge on his way home from Minnesota, he supposedly applied it to her too because it sounded similar. I don't see any reason to disbelieve that or think it's weird

  10. Forever Now is one of my least favourite songs on RevRad. However, it's one of my favourite live songs, so I guess that evens it out.

  11. Ah yeah Billie probably said it too. The whole thing does make a lot more sense like that though. If I can find the quote I'll post it. I actually remember it being one of the first things I found out about Green Day's history. This is the bridge if anyone is interested. It's pretty

  12. It wasn't a roadie explaining it, I think it was Billie. Yeah it would make a lot more sense sense if it was already the nickname of the bay bridge!! It would hold specific meaning to the band touring etc and specifically Billie with his dad being a trucker and how much his dad meant to him. It makes more sense than the story I saw which was Adrienne calls herself Adie, I'm sad, I'm on a highway that happens to be 80, 80 rhymes with Adie, oh I'm going to call her 80, I'm going to go tattoo 80 on myself and she'll be forever named after a highway because I'm probably high

  13. Agreed! I'd probably rank it 4th on Uno. I didn't even know it was unpopular until the Reddit sub voted it last on Uno's Survivor.

  14. No he wrote 80 back in the 90's and it's fine if was drunk then. It is also fine if he was drunk when he got the beer related tattoo (80 ) as it was the 90's. See he's allowed to be constantly drunk from birth until late September 2012. So it's fine to have a songs about beer thread if the songs in question were trilogy era or earlier Hell these lines from 80 would be perfect should such a thread exist "Sometimes I wonder if I should be left alone And lock myself up in a padded room I'd sit and spew my guts out to the open air No one wants to hear a drunken fool" ...told you it was about beer Why does it look so damn cold there

  15. Songs about beer? Plus that thread totally inspired the Fell For You remix Job well done I'd say

  16. Also 80 is the number of the highway that goes from Rodeo to Berkeley and Oakland so I assume he couldn't resist the double meaning when he wrote the song ("80").

  17. I just really love Letterbomb, such an excellent song, maybe the best of American Idiot! It used to be an underrated song in that album, but now I feel it got its place as a "mainstream" song, at least among GD fans, and I'm really glad it did.

  18. Me too! As well as it just being a cool laid back tune I think it's genius that they have a calm surfy interval in the middle of the album . It cements two of the album's best attributes - it's retro/surfy vibe and it's quirkiness.

  19. I like Last Ride In. Whenever I listen to it, it always reminds me of being on holiday. I can imagine myself by a pool or beach listening to it.

  20. I don't know how much of an unpopular opinion this is, but I really love Troublemaker. It's fun, it's catchy and it's one of my favourite songs from Uno. TBH, I don't give a shit if people think the lyrics are bad - I find the song (and the lyrics) entertaining and it always puts a smile on my face, so that's good enough for me.

  22. Today I've read some positive opinions about an italian comic called "John Doe". So I've googled it out of curiosity and-how wonderful- in a page the main character is wearing this t-shirt!

  23. Can we not with the "real fan" stuff? Having an objective opinion about the quality of a band's work, or disliking some of the music they release, doesn't make you any less of a fan than someone who thinks everything they do is a masterpiece.
