That reminds me - the other day I asked hubby to turn up the radio as BR started - I said I wanted to feel like I was at a GD concert - his reply was - you know its a Queen song playing.

@Hero_Of_The_Hour I agree with you. Queen is my second favorite band, after Green Day. Their music touches me a lot. @Scattered Wreck I was always amazed by Freddie's voice but when I listen to Billie it goes beyond. (His voice is what made me give attention to Green Day at first.) @Jane Lannister I actually discovered Queen thanks to very precious friend a few years ago, so to me no bad memories associated with it!

I like Queen, but I can understand how people can over hype them. However, I do think Freddie Mercury had one of the best, if not the best, voice in rock history. He was also a dynamic performer. I don't think you don't have to like their music to appreciate his abilities

I understand, I've also felt that way about some things I used to like, until it was unfortunately associated in my head with places I didn't want to be (funny, it's often about places ??) These things can evolve though

On Storytellers Billie said that Freddie Mercury was a much more important frontman than someone like John Lydon. I can't remember everything he said about Freddie but he definitely loves him. I'm assuming he means that Mick is his favourite LIVING frontman as he clearly loves Queen and Freddie quite a lot!

When you posted this I was typing an angry reply about how could you make Jen your internet daughter instead of me I don't hate them but I think Queen is a bit overhyped. Everyone seems to love that band. In my opinion, Queen is ok but there are better bands. Some of their songs are awesome but some are rather average. I remember one night a friend was playing their songs and we talked and than that person told everyone to shut up and everyone obeyed and listened to a Queen record as if it was a sermon. Since then, everytime I hear them, I remember that one time I was bored at a party and made to listen to Queen

For those who aren't aware Brody has been very ill and has been in hospital. via bubukittyfk earlier today Doctors weren't able to diagnose Brody after every test imaginable but he is finally stable enough to be home, and I am going to say it's because of all the positive vibes and well wishes received.... We send many thank yous and hugs. 🖤 and this was posted on July 19th by Sara I can't remember the last time my heart hurt this bad. 💔 Brody is back in the hospital, worse than before, more tests, no answers. Praying for my little potato day in and day out. Keepin hope ❤ 🙏🏼 Sara's first post about Brody being unwell was back in March when she posted this bubukittyfk - This little potato. ❤ The past few days have been a bit emotional as Brody is going on day 3 at the neurologist hospital. The doctors are struggling to identify what is causing the tremors, collapsing and spastic behavior. Multiple doctors are working together to come up with a solid verdict, and we have no option but to remain positive for this lil guy. In honor of #nationalpuppyday , here is a picture of the pup that makes my world go round I know Brody is obviously a dog and not a member of Green Day so I get that technically these posts don't belong here (except for the Tre one) but he is Tre's dog and this situation is very sad. Sara's latest post in particular with Tre lying on the rug hugging Brody with the caption "Appreciating every moment" is pretty heart wrenching. I figure some fans may not know so here it is and mods can feel free to delete the pics if they want.

Well she comes home and the entire planet is in her living room. Any woman unprepared would not want to be on camera. He keeps turning it in her direction until finally she was like ok that's enough and Billie's reaction is so cute he's like, "Sorry, gotta go!" Chastened by the wife. 😂

That was the cutest thing in the world to wake up to. Jakob asking what he's streaming on and Billie going, "Ummm, it's my BillieJoeArmstrong." What a cute family, and what a dork of a lead singer we have.

I miss the crooked teeth, these look fake. 🙁 But this was a cool thing for him to do. He's bored, he misses an audience and we miss him too so this was much appreciated. My daily Billie fix that will keep me happy until the tour resumes. ❤️

I took a couple months off of RevRad, and coming back to it always feels so homey. Something about that album's candidness and heart just hits me on a different level than past GD albums. I'll never forget the way I felt listening to it for the first time — it involved a lot of gaping and putting my hand over my mouth and smiling. It makes me emotional to think we're coming up on the one year anniversary of this era so soon. I have loved every second of it.

No, if you try and request Christie Road one more time he'll fucking hit you with his bass. 😂
