You can actually hear the bow guitar on the album so someone was playing it. I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a guess that it wasn't Jimmy Page.4 points
-
Goddamn why couldn't he have played with the bow on stage (even if it was just one bit of one song just to do it)4 points

IKR? It would've been cool to see that. I'm glad he shared that pic though because I was curious to see how he did it. A video of it would be even better so we could hear it because I don't necessarily hear it in the songs so it must be very subtle.3 points

Oh yeah, that would be just my week. Chester and thus Linkin Park gone + juicy GD Instagram drama leading to break up. Na, in all seriousness, probably just a slip of the finger or unnecessary double like as mentioned above. Also, I love Mike's post about Chester and none of the LP fans I know understood it as an insult or anything. Everyone loved it. About these Green Day puppets in the other post (sorry, forgot to quote that): those are ugly. Only the original muppet puppets are THE puppets.3 points

Next week is the 1 year anniversary of the announcement of Bang Bang as the 1st single from Rev Rad, the week after is my 6 month anniversary since seeing GD, two and a half weeks from now is the 1 year anniversary of Bang Bang being released, and in 7 and a half weeks from now it's my 1 year anniversary of booking my GD ticket. Time flies fast when you're having fun listening to GD!2 points

Cycling in flip-flops is not that easy, never mind trying to carry a giant flamingo. Guess there's no wind there!😎 Good disguise though.2 points

I love Foreverly! Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet is a perfect lullaby and Kentucky is the perfect lying in a hammock and de-stressing song.2 points

Celebrating a person's life and their contributions to the world is almost always part of mourning their death. Recognising that he created beauty in his life that will continue on in the legacy of his music after his death isn't the same as saying there's beauty in his death.2 points

That is so funny! I'm pretty sure Billie would be the one who bought it for himself to use actually! And I want a picture of that. Hahahah1 point

Little girl is one of my favs from 21CB & I listen to the album in full every week & yesterday I discovered the line is - You're walking with blisters and running with shears - (I hear & always thought it was shives)1 point

I agree it obviously was Mikes way of honouring him and it was heartfelt. Mike is just also a positive kinda guy too. That is why we love him. Suppose I'm just feeling raw these days. Ugh. I never suggested anyone agree with me. Thanks for recognising I have an opinion.1 point

I actually like Foreverly and I absulutely agree. There's such a beautiful contrast between their soothing voices and what they're singing in Down In The Willow Garden. I love it.1 point

I follow them all on insta and I'm fairly certain it's no big deal and probably Mike did it accidentally. For one Mike had just liked Billies post on insta cause I saw it, plus I don't think he ever followed Adrienne just like Tre doesn't follow her, so I don't think he unfollowed both. Anyways just my opinion. 😊1 point

wait, my popcorn isn't ready huh, I guess they all have personal accounts so no need to double follow the professional accounts1 point

Mike unfollowing Billie = Green Day breaking up Mike unfollowing Adrienne = ???1 point

I was just driving listening to my local alt station play some crap and I said out loud "Please play Green Day it's been forever since you've played them". The second I finished saying it I heard a familiar bass line and went "No way!!!" It was Longview. 😲 If I knew it was that easy to make a request I would have done it before. 😂1 point

Letterbomb has always been one of my favourites and I'm so happy they finally play it live more often. I remember Billie saying it's his favourite song on AI, so I always wondered why they rarely played it live. The "Where will all the martyrs go when the virus cures itself and where will we all go when it's too late" line is incredible and I got goosebumps every time I heard it live.1 point

In Only of You, I always hear "these felines in my heart" instead of "these feelings in my heart." He says 'feelings' really strangely.1 point
-
In Fashion Victim, I always hear "What's in the mail?" instead of "What's in a name?". I know, it makes no sense, but I can't help myself1 point

Going To Pasalacqua: What I thought it was: "I beat the nasty weather" What it really says: "I'm in for nasty weather" ((Am I the only one?)) The original lyrics were actually "It's home". "Get stoned" was a live addition.1 point

From Dookie onward I know most of the correct lyrics, save for a few spots on Nimrod and several things on Rev Rad. Scattered is one of my all time favorites, but that second verse though! It always sounds strange to me and I can never sing along to it. Loose ends tied in knots. Leaving a lump down in my throat. Gagging on a souvenir. Lodged to fill another year. Drag it on and on until my skin is ripped to shreds. Leaving myself open wide. Living out a sacrifice. On RevRad, it's the usual weird lyrics that we are all scratching our heads over. I wish I knew all the pre-dookie lyrics but....I don't.1 point

I'm listening to Homecoming a lot lately, I totally fell in love with that song again. And I remembered that I always used to hear "So send my life a letterbomb and visit me in hell" instead of "send my love a letterbomb". I'm keeping the "life" version because at times it's pretty damn accurate1 point

In Uptight i thought it was "Upnight, All the gag with a pun" instead of "Uptight, All the nag with a gun".1 point

Dirty Rotten Bastards: "I've got the urge to pigeon search" (which I feel could've made a wonderful video) And the other day I misheard the 'from the edge of the world' part in Forever now as 'from the edge of the worm' so that's ruined. Oh, and any time Billie sings 'memories' I hear 'mammaries'.1 point

My dirty mind strikes again. I misheard the beginning of Who Wrote Holden Caulfield ("a thought burst in my head") as "a fuckfest in my bed".1 point
