A guy on my bus this morning was wearing a GD Revolution Radio hoodie. It's nice to see people walking around in GD clothing and it's something that always makes me smile.6 points

Totally agree, I think lots of us feel this really strongly and while we don't want or mean to dwell on it, something like this just brings it all back. I am going to stop complaining about the Bellahouston show being cancelled now, could be so much worse!4 points

I don't think it's fair that some fans are using Chester Bennington's death to rehash iHeart and write essays about how Billie was going the same way. I don't mean people who are shaken up thinking that it could have been Billie, I mean posts that are more along the lines of speculation about his condition back then. He's only outright stated he was suicidal once, a very long time ago and even if it's likely he has been since, it's not our place to assume and post about it everywhere. He would have spoken about it publicly if he wanted us to discuss that (and he actually made it clear he didn't want any pity over rehab and that he wanted to move on). Not to mention it's taking the focus off the tragic death that actually happened. Maybe I'm a heartless bitch4 points

Someone made a similar comment to Billie's IG post basically feeling ashamed for bitching so much about the Glasgow cancellation when things like this make you realise what's really important.3 points

I was just driving listening to my local alt station play some crap and I said out loud "Please play Green Day it's been forever since you've played them". The second I finished saying it I heard a familiar bass line and went "No way!!!" It was Longview. 😲 If I knew it was that easy to make a request I would have done it before. 😂3 points

I did say that I didn't mean people who are shaken by thinking that it could have been Billie. That concern is completely natural, because he means a lot to all of us and the what ifs are upsetting. I just don't think it justifies speculating about his mental health in ways that are more invasive than concerned (the posts I saw were a lot more along the lines of how suicidal and mentally ill he is than "shit he could have died"). edit: whoever found my tumblr to send me this, you suck2 points

It's just fear over someone else people care about that "dodged a bullet." However it's expressed, I understand it. When a tragedy happens close by, you think about your loved ones, this is just an extension of that.2 points

This is amazing, I wish I had the money to waste (or y'know, could bother to make one) https://www.etsy.com/no-en/listing/526008734/punk-rock-around-the-clock-billie-joe2 points

Second this. It's always nice to see people wearing merch of any band I like or acknowledging them in a positive way. Recently a facebook-famous person I follow shared the video of a crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody and so many people commented on how beautiful it was, including a writer I do admire. Definitely felt great On another note, Billie's voice sounds so sweet in Barbara Allen. It's beautiful, really makes you think about how nice voice he actually has. And that fiddle . BA is seriously such a great tune and I've only realized that recently.1 point

I agree. This just isn't about him, that's the main problem I have with it. Billie hasn't said anything about being suicidal but I believe most people weren't talking about his possible suicide but about death in general. It's understandable that people worry about him though. Even though there's no real point in speculation and what-ifs, I see why it came up.1 point

Hi, nice to see you around! I guess it's from the 21CB tour but I've just noticed he has the same "Jesus" pin as he has on his jacket in revrad video and needed to say it. #captain obvious1 point

Haven't posted in here in a while. Just found this one on the computer: I imagine this one is from around 2009?1 point

Sorry but this is the best typo ever I love charity but I take issue with the fact that the group describe themselves as a "collective of servants" who are "fulfilling the spiritual and nutritional needs of the community" and "building authentic disciples of Jesus Christ". There are loads of charities that just give help to the homeless (or the needy) without trying to convert them. Or as East Jesus Nowhere might put it, without trying to "save" them1 point

Even though Im not religious we do have a church run pantry like this - I donate non perishables - its a good thing & it was probably a good excuse for Tre to play a round of god.1 point

...clicked on the link for "God's Pantry" and got a brief description in their own words of who they are... God's Pantry A diverse collective of servants joined together in unity, fulfilling the spiritual and nutritional needs of the community, building authentic disciples of Jesus Christ. I wasn't always sure, but I'm so sure now! I'm finally done crying/moaning/sulking about not being able to see them back in 2009/2010 at what many could consider their ''peak'' (even though being a fan since long before then). This version of Welcome To Paradise is still as passionate, energetic and all-round f**ing awesome as it's ever been! Just proves that now, more than ever, they need to do a live album / DVD goddamnit! I mean look at 1:50 !!!1 point
